Thread: Jedi Test on TC2... part 2
To everyone that has been playing on TC, but had not logged in the last couple of weeks, our sincerest thanks, and apologies for not being able to include you. But with 55,000 registered players on Test Center it was tough to find the cutoff point! We need a few hundred... tops. We wanted very active testers for the Padawan strata and the quests to become Jedi Knight. We flagged a group of active Test Center players over a span 2 weeks. We did not give any notice because we did not want a flood of people who just wanted to check things out, and the regulars who play on TC are generally extremely helpful to us in finding and tracking bugs.
We also wanted as many Live Jedi to participate as possible. We stopped the logging and announced to the Jedi that if they will create a character on TC, they will be participating as Jedi Knights, and challenging their way up the ranks of the Councils.
The Upper Levels will be filled out by Lucas and SOE QA... with Lucas playing the Light side and SOE playing the Dark side >:-)
We will also be drastically increasing the turnover time for voting and challenges up the ladder.
It looks like we will copy the database from TC over to TC2 early next week, when we push Publish 9 onto Test Center. At this time Test Center 2 will be a complete mirror of the existing Test Center. We will run these Jedi wars on TC2 for a couple of weeks until it is ready to go out, then wipe the entire thing.
Again, not everyone can participate with the Jedi system, and I am sure we are missing out on many many people who would be excellent help in testing and debugging this system before it goes Live. But anyone can log into TC2 when it goes up and check it out!
The new Jedi system is going to dramtically change the game for the better... and thanks so much for the help and understanding.We will be putting out more info very soon.

By Lucas I assume you mean LucasArts, and not the 'man' himself... although.. I dunno. Seeing a character named George Lucas, or.. in this case more appropriately, GOD, in the game, might make for some interesting heat beetween light/dark sides.
