The first among them is becoming Force Sensitive. Once you become Force Sensitive you can choose to continue on the path to becoming a Jedi or not. The path to becoming a Jedi will be a long and dangerous one.
The question is this:
Should the method of becoming Force Sensitive be a mysterious, unknown mechanic orone that is visible and known to everyone?
Thanks for the feedback...

I think it should be dynamic and unique to each character, possibly based on starting profession, race and gender. Keeping in line with that, it should also be a mysterious path with vague hints given, but not so mysterious as to discourage. Remember, people play to have fun, not to get frustrated.
EDIT: It should contain quite a bit of true content as well, not just random "find rare spawn, kill rare spawn." Perhaps even content on the order of as you progress, you learn more about the history of the specific race you've chosen, their role in the Star Wars universe, etc. You could validate this idea with the concept that an understanding of the history of one's people leads to an understanding of the self, and possibly a strengthening of one's connection to the Force.

Just let people know where they stand. You already had your shot at making it "mysterious" and you blew it. Hologrinding completely borked the game and you admitted as much. Many folks are tired of all the secrecy behind a profession that doesn't seem to be worth the effort anyway.
