On Tuesday, July 6, 2004, there was a hotfix. The items that changed are:
Update Notes:
Profession: Bounty Hunters
Bounty Hunter only requires Exploration IV now instead of Master Scout.
Bazaars/Vendors
Resource Containers: Resource type and quantity for resource containers should now be displayed when put on sale on vendors/bazaars. Any items that were placed since publish 9 was pushed to live will need to be removed and placed up for sale again in order for this information to be displayed.
Missions / Quests / Themeparks
Hermit Quest: Corrected some typos in the hermit conversations.
Professions: Jedi
Restored missing pearls to Jedi who dismantled their sabers without enough inventory space for the new items. If you clear up enough inventory space, log out for 30 minutes, and then log back in, you will be given the missing items.
Demotions should now work properly with rank demotions.
Rank scores should now update consistently.
Added message for Regain Consciousness explaining the Force regen reduction.
Non-Jedi trainers should no longer train Jedi skills.
Jedi should no longer be able to heal droids.
Jedi heals should no longer work when the player has insufficient Force power.
Other
Unstick: Changed the /unstick command such that you can only have one pending at a time. Furthermore, if you move, the one you have pending will be cancelled.

I found an issue.
After I cloned I could no longer see things in the DATA tab of my data pad. However the count of items reflected no loss.
I did a quick log and the items did not reappear.
I did a full log and they appeared.
This happened after cloning.
I dont know if this is related to the hot fix or not. However I have not seen it before today.

People are complaing about crafting failures after this hotfix. Don't know if it's related though.

TH, any news on the Intellect badge? It seemed to spawn like crazy before the weekend but once the weekend hit, it seems to have vanished on several servers (I've noticed it on Eclipse and heard reports from Chimaera as well).

Most bounty hunters would have preferred to fix our profession and make it worth the 217 SP we had to invest in it.
There's no reason to be a Master BH anymore, people will just skill up to Investigation 3 and become TKM to kill jedi. You'll never see a MBH kill a jedi again.

You guys forgot to note the stroyline where Jedi have killed the Emporer and Vaderand declared themselves rulers of the galaxy and undefeatable.
I mean, that's what's happening, right?? I mean, by the looks of it. I'm just assuming the Emporer and Vader are dead. You know, because they killed all the jedi before. And and...there's so many now. Showing off and dueling in major cities. Kill stealing their way through fort tusken and other popular areas that make the game fun. Oh that's right. Jedi = money.
Well, maybe we should just put that in the patch notes then. I think it would do.

This ranking seems to have affected all in PvP, we're all getting some kind of rank by doing /showpvp and of course system messages when we kill enemy players. I assume this is a bug as there was no notes for anything for GCW other then the turret "fix".

Scooter, I have had this happen to me as well... before publish 9 went out. Did you have your datapad open when you cloned?

Scoooter - this has been a long standing issue. I get the 'blank data tab' as well as sometimes a blank waypoint tab. It happens for me during random reloads - such as shuttle trips, cloning, etc. I haven't been able to pin down exactly why it happens sometimes and not others.
Zooey - this game no longer follows the series of events/storyline as does the original Star Wars Universe. It has been stated as such by TH before that when implementing a game with hundreds of thousands of players over a course of a year, the evolution of the game has changed it from the normal course of the stories.

Shhh, for the first time in like...forever....PVP has some way of keeping score and having a new thing to gain from winning. Rather than useless faction. Now if only there was a reward for actually slaying an enemy. Some reallllll gain.

This seems to be working now as advertised.
Shame on SOE, however, for allowing this past bug to resurface with Publish 9. I hope that SOE does post mortems on their releases to evaluate what went right and what went wrong so that future releases are better.
Also shame on SOE for taking a full week to fix this bug. SWG is filled with bugs and having to live with one we lived with previously for a week and was reported so soon after the publish last Tuesday is frustrating. There are always issues with releases and it was a holiday weekend in the U.S., but this is an issue that Thunderheart first promised would be fixed by last Thursday, then Friday. No, Thunderheart shouldn't clam up and not talk about what the developers are tentatively planning (it is very welcome), but hopefully future releases won't be plauged by problems such as this.
