This seems to be working now as advertised.

Shame on SOE, however, for allowing this past bug to resurface with Publish 9. I hope that SOE does post mortems on their releases to evaluate what went right and what went wrong so that future releases are better.

Also shame on SOE for taking a full week to fix this bug. SWG is filled with bugs and having to live with one we lived with previously for a week and was reported so soon after the publish last Tuesday is frustrating. There are always issues with releases and it was a holiday weekend in the U.S., but this is an issue that Thunderheart first promised would be fixed by last Thursday, then Friday. No, Thunderheart shouldn't clam up and not talk about what the developers are tentatively planning (it is very welcome), but hopefully future releases won't be plauged by problems such as this.

Actually, it was reported several times during publish 9 testing, but with what happened on Bria, with their bazaars blowing up completely, this probably was deemed too low priority at the time.

You guys forgot to note the stroyline where Jedi have killed the Emporer and Vaderand declared themselves rulers of the galaxy and undefeatable.

I mean, that's what's happening, right?? I mean, by the looks of it. I'm just assuming the Emporer and Vader are dead. You know, because they killed all the jedi before. And and...there's so many now. Showing off and dueling in major cities. Kill stealing their way through fort tusken and other popular areas that make the game fun. Oh that's right. Jedi = money.

Well, maybe we should just put that in the patch notes then. I think it would do.

The Value of a Master Bounty Hunter is being all but erased with this patch,

Our droid skills beyone invest 3 serve no purpose in hunting Jedi, as we will just get a waypoint to the last place they loaded to just like anyone else, tracking, accuracy and speed give us no real benefit.

Our Inventory of varied weaponry only hurts us, as to use our proffession to its intended extent we have to wait 3 seconds after we swap our weapons, which to a MBH who know to use their skills may happen very often. This could easily be fixed without allowing for exploitation by: Have a timer that prevents you from switching weapons for a certain time AFTER you switch your weapons, or allow our speed modifiers to affect weapon swap time. I always envisioned a BH as a western desperado who empties his rifle, dropping it as his enemies close in, whipping out his pistols for the close quarters combat.

Our Pistol skills are now more easily accessible by Master Pistoleers, with the exception of fast blast

Our Carbine skills are now more easily accessible by Master Carbiniers, with the exception of sprayshot

Our LLC skills are now more easily accessible to anyone who wants to be able to clear out a group of NPCs

Our Investigation "skills" are now more easily accessible by anyone who has the hankering to hunt jedi.

Each one of these skills is more powerful in conjunction with a set of skills in the game other than the set that makes up Master Bounty Hunter, which before made MBH a unique proffession, whereas now, it is more of a dabbling pond. I sincerly hope that with the combat rebalance Bounty Hunters can be returned to their previous requirements of dedication. I have played asa Bounty Hunter for almost a year now, and it saddens me to see my proffession opened up for the world to use.

A Master Bounty Hunter who actually learned the Bounty Hunter Proffession....

Scoooter - this has been a long standing issue. I get the 'blank data tab' as well as sometimes a blank waypoint tab. It happens for me during random reloads - such as shuttle trips, cloning, etc. I haven't been able to pin down exactly why it happens sometimes and not others.

Well thats good its not the hot fix then. I guess it is just coincidence this is the first time it has happened to me. I have been playing since 3 weeks after launch and never saw it before so if it has been a bug for a long time I guess I have been lucky lol.

And in response to the other post, no my data pad was not up when I cloned.

But since this is confirmed to not be an issue with the hot fix we should persue this in a different thread

You haven't been playing this game very long, have you.

Agreed. EVERY Publish they ignore issues that get reported or /bugged MANY MANY MANY timeson TC. Then when it hits live they're scrambling for a hotfix for the bug that was reported the first day the patch hit the Test Center.

Profession: Bounty Hunters

Bounty Hunter only requires Exploration IV now instead of Master Scout.

This is stupid.

Heh, they think that by allowing every Joe Shmoe hunt Jedis they keep true to the cannon and "keep Jedi population under control".

They just don't realize that Jedis are now too powerful, too numerous, and in the end they just DON'T DIE. They just clone in the nearsest cloning center if someone manages to deathblow them (probably another jedi as no regular profession can come close in one-on-one fight).

There is NO population control. Period.

Sad, very sad.

Hopefully this BH change is temporary. BHs shouldn't have to use skills from pistoleer/carbineer/rifleman to complete the tasks they are supposed to be able to handle. The BH profneeds its skills fixed.

This type of "fix" reminds me of the "fix" they did to CH so that Bhs could have 3 graul maulers. And when the patch came everyone was complaining that we needed tanks for higher level creatures. So they nerfed all creatures. Now armor is at cap and we have stacking defensive PC tanks killing everything solo, so they will nerf that in the combat revamp.

It's like they try to fix something and over extend themselves. But hey, i'll live with the changes knowing full well that anything can happen in the combat revamp, and if not, i can trust it'll be nerfed sometime next year.

On a side note.... any hopes on fixing the tef/gtef/neutral tef bugs that were reported since tuesday bout Bh vs jedi?
