Thread: AT-AT Test
If you were around for the AT-AT test, please post your comments here.
Was it tough enough?
Should it attack differently?
How did it look?
Would it be a strong opponent for a typical group ( after all, we had about 60 ppl online fighting it).
Should the Events Team wait for fixes before using it for live events, or does it still need a lot of work?
Any other comments on how to make it better.
Looked like an easy kill for the reb groups (with commandos)
Imp group got owned (no commandos)
Looked great.
Possibly add an AE blast effect?
I think it would be ok to go ahead and use it, can always tweek it as needed.
I think that it also turned to quickly.

However the AI on it needs tweeked a bit. We didn't lose a person while fighting only one of them.

Fantastic Job!

Yes I belive it would be, quite impressive. It would be a challenge fora "typical group"

I think it works perfectly... Something needs to invade some towns and give rebels some challenge!
Any other comments on how to make it better.
It needs to be louder. Since it is the biggest and weighs the most (unless Jabba weighs in more) It should be louder then anything currently in the game (as far as walking is concerned.)
Honestly, I thought it looked kind of silly turning around as fast as it did. The AT-STs in the movies were extreamly slow, and turning was no easy task.
I also though it was trying to aquire targets too fast, almost looked as if it was confused on who to shoot.
Fighting it when the rebels hit it made it look to easy....fighting it as an imp was harder becase we didnt have as big as a group.....but also didn't have the flame dot.
Was it tough enough?
No when it was alone, yes when their were 2 and many Imp troopers with it.
Should it attack differently?

Definately

Seemed fine from what I could see, but was a ton of spam. Hit me for close to 1k 2x and took me out quick enough

Well one thing I noticed and do not know how you can address this is, that my pets were under its feet most of the time, obviously in a place where there was no way a monstrousity of that type should be able to fire upon them.. yet they were both killed by it.
Also, it could be knocked down (realistic), but stood back up in the same round. Once again, if is rather disbelieveable that a machine of that size would be able to right itself at all, nevermind near instantly.
When we were fighting the first one, half-way through the battle, the AT-AT dropped, like someone got a knock-down hit on it, then it stood back up. I'd think that wouldn't be a likely scene, it getting back up. Might want to look into that before it goes live. Otherwise, it looked GREAT!
Oh, and were we not supposed to get any faction points?
I agree with Gunman.. it spun around way to much and way to quickly. The AI would do better to focus on targets in front of it and slowly turn to address the other target areas as it cleared out the front ones. It was spinning around like a madman.. rather disbelieveably.
Having it walk backwards while fighting might also work well to address theissue.
It spawned so fast most of the TC'ers didn't get a chance to check it out. It was up what 30 minutes?

232k HAM isnt enough. you gotta be kidding me right? Nightsister elders got more HAM and 100% resists.. how can a humanoid be tougher then a giant at-at???
Nightsisters don't have Heavy armor. It makes a big different in the damage rate. Also Nightsisters are some Bad arse NPC's.
You want it tough but you don't want it invincible. It would be no fun. It's a game....
