Greetings...



Vehicles are out, but they have a few problems.When we initially released there was an easy way to duplicate them. We’ve made lots of improvements since then, but still have a few issues to work out. For this, we need your help.



This issue is proving difficult to nail down 100% both internally and on Testcenter. We need your help to understand what you are seeing. I know that some of you experience your vehicle disappearing while riding. I also know there are a few holes we need to plug to prevent duplication. What else are you seeing in game? The more descriptive you can be, the easier it will be for us.



Thanks for your help in tracking this down.

There was this one time when I was riding towards the Theed spaceport from the west side of town... when I got to the door in front of the spaceport, I tried to store my swoop but got a notice saying "out of range". I thought it was weird because I was still astride the swoop.


So I unmounted the bike, while keeping it targeted, and the moment I got off the target showed it was like 240 meters away (back by the cantina).


So I had to go into the datapad to actually store, I couldn't just target the swoop and use the radial menu.

Well.. This basically happened last night. Myself and four P.A members all pulled out our speeders at basically the same time and proceeded to travel towards our Destination on Dathomir.On our wayfrom the Dathomir Trade outpost to the Nightsister Stronghold at approximately 3k from our destination, all of our Speeders auto-stored, at basically the exact same time.


I don't know if this was a zone thing or just the fact that they were all going to decay at that very instant but there's probably something that my behelpfulthere. Hopefully

Same thing is happening to me... I just rode on Rori to mission (Faction, LEVEL 14) and I turn the vehicle down on a top of a hill. When I select to exit, it teleports me somewhere veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery far and then back. Strange...


Also, when I exit the vehicle (in my case landspeeder) near a building, it usually say "Out of range". I must get back a few meters and then exit the vehicle, but the game teleports me away as soon as I exit it. Usually about 30 meter away from the position of the vehicle.

Theer is the ovbious warp bhgs.. But theres one you may not realise.


If you are covert factioned and you "float" over a little gap (Like on tatooine) or something like that, your vehicle will be overt for a few seconds.

That teleporting thing happened on mounts too, come to a complete stop before exiting and you return to where you got off after the rubberband.



My, my primary trouble is thatmy swoopoften autostores after the server desyncs a little (where you bounce around slightly). I've gone through more camps in the past week than I had in the entire month before that.

ALL vehicles give out a very loud "BIIIIISWWSSSSHHHH" cracking noise when using EAX sound setting with swg. it has been verified with 99% of sblive to audigy2 users with any EAX settings. please check up this thread on the tech support forum.

its a very annoying problem for all EAX users who want to enjoy the game in enviromental audio yet have to suffer the loud cracking noise from the vehicles.


ps. it only happens in EAX mode, it is fine with dolby surround and 2d miles audio.

I have been riding about on my speederbike alot onNaboo and this is what I see from my perspective...


When you travel a long distance (crossing server lines?) the speeder you are riding quite often becomes disconnected from the speeder in the datapad wich has the following effects...



  1. The speeder you are riding cannot be stored.

  2. If you repare the speeder you are riding then that repare does not carry through to the speeder in the datapad.

  3. Since the last hotfix the speeder that you are riding gets 'cleaned up' and disapears from under you.

I have found that storing and re-generating the speeder at the garage before repare is a good workaround for issue 2 as this guaranties that you fix the real speeder and not the disconncted duplicate speeder.


As to issue 3, I'm just glad I have scout skills.

My bike has "auto-stored" a few times also. When checking harvs and I "dis-mount" the bike, all 3 instances the bike stored itselfin less than a minute and I was not any more than 10m from the bike at all times.

Oh and I'm also getting the BWSHHHHHH!!!!! sound with EAX sound.


This appears to sound like some sort of overdriven reverb effect that often occurs if you 'pump' the forward button.

The most annoying problem is when they dissapear but when I fixe it and then later take out he has the same damage se before fixing it happend to me 2 times so far spled 5k each to fix it. I will go there third time now after that I will just tell my friend to build me one.

When I enter a Player's store and come out immediatly, the vehicle autostores. This is annoying because the player's store is not located in a city and I am stuck running 6km to the next city to generate a vehicle.
