We have people exploiting the Geonosis Lab , we have people who spend their lives in the Borgle Caves, we have Professions with abilities that do not even work, people exploiting other things left and right and what do we get in game....

In Theed we get a group of maybe 9 Stormtroopers walking against a wall for the last few days, now my rifle bleeds are like mosquito bites but a flamethrower still can fry things like nothing, and now I can not get equipment out of crates and emails that say to dispose of the crates, and I will not even get into the force slot situation.

I am happy to see Chefs getting attention and being able to do their thing, and the crackdown sounds good in print but it takes more than seeing Star Destroyers wallpapered into the sky texture and black stormtroopers to feel the need to hide, I am happy to see thet Droid engineers will be getting their due soon, but it just seems that every addition comes with so many migraines attatched.

Is it me or does healing take longer now too?

It seems to take forever from when I hit my heal self button to when it actually triggers, was a delay added ?

Can we expect any fix on the risk/reward ratio?

Many people are camping a low level cave on Rori for high + skill tapes, while anyone brave enough to go into the marauder or rancor caves will be rewarded with a +1? (or even a -1?).

This also brings us to the issue of camping, which everyone but the l33t d00ds is sick of. I would recommened making more of the item-related poi's more dynamic (like the dark-jedi/light jedi quests on dantooine) where many people can pursue the reward without having to fight over it, or camp it. Furthermore, since decay is a major part of the game, letting us reset our quests once a month would not be unreasonable. Once I finish the scythe quest and that weapon degrades I cant ever get a new one? that seems ridiculous... We dont want them farmed, but I hardly think that getting to do a quest once a month is going to lead to abuse.

One further thing about POI's. the respawn time is ridiculously low. Some of these caves are a lot of fun, but waiting an hour between runs is very frustrating. Leave the mag-box timers as they are, I'm not asking for any more loot. But when the boss mob of a POI is killed, it should kick off a 5 minute timer or something before the whole POI respawns...

One last thing thats been bothering me, and its a huge frustration/immersion breaker.... the total lack of services outside Coronet/Theed. If my character runs into Dearic or Kor Vella, there is an excellent chance that he wont find a single doctor or entertainer at all. What kind of city is that? Even podunk towns in backwater USA have a basic doctor around... I think the game realy needs to include some NPC service providers in cantina's and hospitals. We dont want to disrupt the player economy, so they cant be nearly as effective as a PC, but its ridiculous to hop a starship to get basic medical services. I'd be more than happy to go into that proposal with more detail, but I dont want to get into a huge thing if the Developers are flat out against it.
I think it could be a great enhancement to the game (especially if you gave them different levels of service/personalities; imagine a fussy diva in the Kadarra theater!, how cool would that be?)

My first first?

Sligtly off topic as far as the game goes:
How about updating the help files for these here forums. It isn't at all obvious how to edit a post or that BB codes don't work but html does

Just a note on some CH bugs, they follow literally on top of me. I cannot even move a meter out of the way and they will move right on top of me.

I had to tame a giant veermok to have a mid level tanking pet tall enoughthat doesn't come to rest with my head stuck in its rear...

Also still having problems with pets staying on the attack.

In light of the talk about smugglers lately with the crackdown issues, I would like to bring something up.

I think it would be a great addition to the profession if some unarmed skills were added to the dirty fighting line.

Unarmed skill is required to attain novice smuggler, but never used thereafter.

We could add in some cheap shots or something.. nothing too powerful, but stuff to add viability, RP, and fun!

Please think about it.

1) What happened to the species discussion?

2) When are the 10 questions asked of the profession to be answered?

3) When are we going to hear more about the combat balance?

There is an ever grown /yawn about the impact about the Crackdown.

Among the Smugglers there are two dominant opinions: 1) It is hurting business, and 2) it is doing nothing at all.

My personal vote is number 2.

What are the plans to give the Crackdown some "teeth" as you say?

I know this is a long shot, but is anything going to be done about ranger traps? Will they ever have an effect on CH pets or other players?

There is a very nasty factory bug where the factory's output hopper gets 'full' any where from 40-80 items. When this happens it shuts down the factory. This may be caused by ghost items that game thinks are in the output hopper but were removed or some how experimentation on factory storage size that doesn't works some how got turned on with the lastest patch. This is a very distruptive bug and is difficult to work around. You can remove crates from the output hopper and place them in the input hopper. However when you are making servers subcomponents you run into storage problems. This is becoming a game stopper for crafter and needs to be hot fixed.

Another issue is Dantoonie and Lok. These are advanced worlds that many people populated with cities. However the servers were never set up to handle that level of population. Now they are very laggy and unplayable at peak times. This is a game stopper. Althought the nightly crash problem was fixed, the horrid lag is still there. What is currently being done about the lag and when will it be done?

Thanks

A few items to note, spanning a few forums and a few threads In Live that I think are worth directing your attention to:

1. please look at possibly broken new chef foods (smugglers delight among them) see chef forum and smuggler forum.

2. please address buff window bugs including the death bugs and certain items not appearing (powerboost, pre-patch fishak)

3. please address the smuggler correspondent opening (i'd give it to Kav if he's up for it, but Smuggler_Caylin should be in consideration as well)

4. There are a few items folks are reporting as invalid when pulled from crates (pre-nerf fwg5s). Was this intentional on the Devs part, or a bug that crept in?

5. And on a much more upbeat note, as a wookie I just have to say a HUGE thanks to the team for Synthsteak!
