When Jedi login, they will see a series of windows that will walk them through the process of converting their old Jedi into the new Jedi system.

  • How did the Jedi Conversion go when you logged in?

  • What was the easiest part of the process? The most difficult?

  • What was the most intuitive part of the process? Which was the most difficult?

only problem i had was trying to pick things rather quickly due to worry of a shutdown - no biggie on TC2 but won't be cool on our live jedi- can you give us the skill points and let us see our trainer instead?

The conversion went fine as far as skills go, I even went LD to see if it would mess anything up. It didn't. When I logged back in, I got the box to pick skills again. Everything was pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Nothing was difficult or confusing.

I had no real problem with the conversion though I was bugged for 4 or 5 days there where I could not use powers or LS specials

I have two characters on TC2 that I can roll through the conversion process, and have done so each time there has been a roll-back. For the most part, I find the interface easy to use, and the addition of the undo last button makes me feel a bit more secure. I have found however, that each time I rolled my character through it, I would find that I had forgotten some skill that I wanted or needed. Each time, until the last roll (June 10th) I ended up wishing for yet another roll back to correct an error on my part. Spending your entire skillpoint pool in one shot is nerve racking I don't dislike the conversion process, but I am not at all comfortable with it. Any number of things can go wrong, on my end, as well as SOE's. I think it comes down to that most of the new stuff is like shooting in the dark, I know what I would like, but don't have enough information to make an intelligent desicion or plan. And no, I am not talking making the most uber Jedi out there, I want to make one that I will enjoy playing

Not really a nuts and bolts of how great or how bad it may be, Just a few thoughts on what I as a customer, think and feel about the conversion process.

I will tell you what is not fine.

People are losing banked xp.

From the looks of it having more xp banked than your new cap allows will not be uncommon as TH said in the archives.

For instance, in the Knight tree right now I can bankmillions ofxp due to the Dark Knight box which I didn't train havinga 3.2mil cost.

As soon as we get numbers on what the minimum is to master a tree - (my estimate nowis 4/1/2/1 judging from initial reports from TC3) we would be pissing away xp to train any further.

Let's say training 4/2/2/1 gave me the extra skill points to start a new tree. That costs 80k! Why would I want topay 400k for a in this systembox when I am getting an 80k box for it in the new system?

Anyone in their right mind will be banking their xp too keep this from happening.

You cannot delete our banked xp upon conversion.

I don't have a Jedi on the Live servers so the conversion doesn't matter much to me, but as I got a Jedi on TC2, I did notice that:

- I lost my language skills during the conversion process

- You cannot "go back" to the last FS skill once you've moved into picking Jedi skills, and you can't go back to the last Jedi skill you picked once you've moved into picking regular skills.

All minor annoyances though really more than anything.

This is TC3 testing. My skill is Initiate 4334, and I got 45 Jedi skill points. But I can only train up to lightsaber 0042 (42 points), and the remaining 3 skill points is lost. If I choose 0141 or 0033, I will end up losing more xp.

You cannot equip your backpack when wearing Jedi robe. So you need to free up space to unequip your backpack. You can still equip a beltand a ring though. Also you can use a PSG instead of the belt.

So you got 3,680,000 XP for your 2,720,000 XP.

That's not bad at all unless you miss all the great skills you lost.

So the 4/3/3/4 Initiatewent from 15 boxes to 7 boxes in the new system?

Also he was almost a 3rd of the way done to getting 1/6 (45 points)of the way completed in the new system

I think they need to tweak this some
