Not much point in posting here but I'll do it anyway because its late.
I just wanted to say a few quick things about this old man. I unlocked in patch 9, I'm now waiting on dathomir, I waited an hour or two and chatted with my guildees and then I set about running all the POIs on Dath on foot (incase old man came). I finished them, which took a while since I have no terrain negotiation. I've now found a cozy spot on a hill a few thousand meters from town and I'm waiting for him still. I'm going to go make a peanut butter and jelly sanwich and hope he's here when I come back.
It may not be anyone's fault but I'm really bored and I hope this old guy comes. By the way, I love this game and I think that it's got some excellent content. I'm just a bit frustrated because I work nights and soon I'll be needing to go to bed when I was looking forward to being a jedi the whole day at work. Anyway, yea.. Thanks for deciding that my patch-9 unlock warranted a jedi, I dont mind waiting for it I'm just bored right now.

I logged in and was Instantly Glowing!
Even though I was a bit upset about having to wait for the Old man, I told everyone that He had got ganked in Coronet for 112cr.
I buffed my friends, told a few about the whole glowy thing as best I knew and proceeded to Dathomir for some Much Needed Venting on Nightsisters for Pikeman Grind in 3 days. And no I did not grind Pikes for P10, I grinded it for my PvP Template, did it in 3 days, ATK The whole time I might add.
Anyway I ended up logging out amongst friends, having a very enjoyable experience Tea-bagging Spellweavers.
I am a pretty avid Roleplayer and Publish 10: Secrets of the Force is an integral part of Kaotic's Life, Another bump in the road. It's time you friggin' enjoy the game for what it is worth, and when you MAKE JEDI PADAWAN, I hope you understand the true worth and value of having FSCS.
I recommend tomorrow, taking out your friends, and hunting for a good time, talking to each-other and helping each-other as much as possible, because remember beyong this game, there are really people playing that hot Twi'lek or that Dark, Mysterious Zabrak. Its no longer a game of interest, its a game of friends.
Let TH Do his job, 57 Pages of a bunch of whiners, doesn't make reading 1 post take up an hour of his time where he could be fixing a problem such as stomach fillings, or client stability. Have respect for them.

I am very desapointed about the patch 10. As PvE has no challenge (excepted crazy dungeon as DWB), as PvP is unbalanced (and not the priority of SOE), Jedi and the 2nd slot became a good motivation. But the patch 10 has completly changed my mind, I did 10 professions for pleasure, I did silent holo to be ready for patch 10. The Force is with me, but I don't want to grind millions of xp to become Jedi. Grind is over for me, SWG is over for me.
My feedback: patch 10 is only a new delay system to become Jedi (the only goal on the game for the moment).
As Guild leader, I lost half of my guilde because the game as no real challenge.
As player, I lost half of my friend because they had holo grind for nothing.
As game, SWG lost the spirit of the MMORPG, because grind is the only engime of this game.
I decide to cancel still JTL.
First caracter: Nyna Kyneugh (Kauri), PvE profile, veteran frenchplayer
Second caracter: Zagor Drelosyn (Kauri), MBH for fun but as well for nothing

Ok, lets have a close look at the new system:
- U say u did groups to get somekinda traffic control for the village ??
I dont belive that, it more likely looks like u will test day by day how many Jedis will ruin aserver, and if the first server is ruined u just stop the so called "Old man visits" (ohh and for sure without letting ppl know about, the same with raisin holoprofessins to 8)
- U now give the proof to all the grinders, that they did right.
I now promise u that as far as someone gets the possibilitie to gets some FSXP he/she/it will start grinding like hell again and kill all the RPG roleplay again. (Maybe u just earn more money with grinding ppl instead of RPGing ppl, who knows =P)
- Oh, and btw, I am paying for a game that has some content i cant enter, not because i didnt do a quest, just because devs dont feel like lettin me join the village. This whole system might be ok, beside two things, it will kill a big part of gameplay and it is not really fair. If u want soome kinda greedy system then make it like this:
Just add up all thr Dollars $$$ single players spend to SOE (include EQ and all other SOE games) and then give the most worthy ppl a jedi, that is real fair and is just usuall buisness like ti is in our society, no need to to feel any shame for it, but much better to hide the same idea behind soem rumors about an old man or whatever ...
just my 2 cents, i hope it makes soem sense to u ... i am just a bit pissed ... coz u did it again!
JUST NERV JEDI, SO THAT NOT EVRYBODY WANNA PLAY ONE, THAT IS THE ONLY REAL WAY TO KEEP JEDI TRAFFIC DOWN !!!

You are wrong they are making people wait cause of the tremendous influx of people that will flock to that area! Just imagine the place filled with 100+ people might seem exciting until you try to actually move!
They had to come up with a system of who gets first entry..I think the system is pretty decent or as good/fair as any other system they could have come up with.
Dont expect this to be handed to you on a silver platter I dont and guess what post 9 unlocker, 103 badges, and 32 profs master to get my spot and I am still willing to understand this need though my wait will be shorter...I kinda think I have earned it
Its a need, not an option to make people wait to enter!

I must say im not very happy with the new system... IF i had known that you had to grind professions to get the first chance at having a go at the quests I would have done it.. But i liked TKA and Docter and I kept them and played the game and got badges because I wanted to get as many as I could without grinding... I got 75 and I got an inner glowey feeling.. and I hear that I might not get a visit or be able to start the quests for a few weeks.. Ive been waiting just as long as everyone else.. and the feelin I got from everyone was that your not enjoying the game by grinding, and everyone hated the grinders because they didn't respect the game for what it was and enjoy the professions because they just dropped them right away.. and like then get jedi and sell them on Ebay for a stupid amount of money..
If you were afraid of the traffic problem why didn't you think all smart and make more than one village on every planet or something.. and the old man sees you and tells you that you should go to a certain one..
OR
Doing a sorta corvette thing where you get visited by the old man and he gives you the crystal or whatever and someone takes you to the village and no one else is there or you can take 1 friend or something.
This way everyone will be able to go.. chances are no one has the gall to stick it out and finish the quests if they take so long people are guarenteed to give up.. so you dont need to worry about the stupid amount of jedi floating about..
Although I think that because everyone pays to play this game that they should be allowed to become a jedi if they want to and they shouldnt have to suffer through this random aspect of grouping or whatever. Because then we are basically paying for a giant raffle ticket. I mean thats like paying for half life 2 or something and then saying .. ok you bought half life but not the add ons so your going to have to wait... or something like that.. you just dont do that!

KURT we need answers not riddles or Cryptic messages when is the Old man gonna visit. how can we tell what group we are in. is the last group going to have to wait days or months and what gives SOE the right to decide when we get the visit if we glow we qualify for the old man we have played by the rules so now can you play by the rules and give us what we have earned.
16 Profs Silent after 1st Holo YAY 7 Silent Profs 80+ Badges and only had strong Sense now added Nyms and I glow. But could have to wait until 2006 for Old man visit.
P.S We should not be charged for waiting on Old Man vist Because servers can handle the Load

Can we get a dev to post if they are going to fix the bugs in this pub? And hopefully give a bigger reward to long time players of this game (that stuck to a proffesion they liked and didn't hologrind).

Somthing i am not clear on.. I unlocked but only did 29 profs to do it... Because in not over 30 profs am i still in the "auto crowd" ? I was in the wilderness for a grand total of over 15 hours today from server up to server down. The old man didnt come to see me. What can i expect besause i have obviously invested alot of time into this.

**edit** is up with you people? Has it come to this, that over a game people are slagging off REAL people in their RL lives? Listen to yourselves for Gods sake, you sound like a bunch of conceited, spoilt brats…get a grip FFS. It’s a GAME folks that’s all it is and all it ever will be. If people are getting so seriously upset and its effecting their RL lives, I’d suggest taking a long, hard look at yourselves, stop playing GAMES and get a freakin life!!!

I have a few questions about this old guy.
1. Canhe get attacked by wild creatures and die?
2. Can he spawn when i am driving through the wilderness and i miss him?
3. If i go afk and he appears because i am afk and i dontconverse to him will he dissapear again then i have blown it?
Also i am just wondering how long should i expect to be waiting i have been waiting for about 1 day in total so far forthis old man, i am "glowy" i have mastered 15 proffs and never used a holo so i dont know if i hit any of my holo's are we talking hours? days? months?
