Thread: Desired Rewards
hmmm a good reward for doing quests.... well, money and FP are nice if delivered properly. I dont think that giving out one time scematics is wise, power players would just camp them like the holocrons. I would think something like a medal case to display in your home for your valiant efforts. Or as another player suggested a new title to display for really hard quests to show your bravery. I think it would have to be something non-usable in combat ( the DEV did say that this isnt an uber-loot game). But personally i think a new title/badge or something like a medal case to display in your home would make me want to quest, well along with money of course ![]()

Probably someone already posted this, but here i go:
I want to loot unique/very rare or special schematics for the crafters so they can make me whatever is on the schematic for some credits. Also we could get uber weapon parts to make uber weapons, armor, etc.
I looted a power 50 liquid suspension last nite and that was "great".
The idea of having one-shot crafter schematics would really make me want to do missions. Let's take it one step further...
1. Get a creature schematic a Bio-Engineer can use to make a unique pet. Something that does good damage at a low level.
2. AT-ST schematics that a droid engineer can use to make a rebel really happy.
3. Weapon and Armor schematics that allow crafters to make superior items.
4. Cloth enhancements for tailors that help prevent diseases (thereby finding a fix other than nerfing Combat Medics) or flame retardant cloth that prevent fire (thereby helping PvP Commando battles be a bit more equal), etc.
I'm sure that allowing players to make their characters better by way of missions would me a more palatable way of dealing with inequalities in character balances.

Appease the crafters by dropping uber schematics. Perhaps let them choose to dropa schematicthey don't use in exchange. Or drop enhancements to help their experimentation or assembly (good ones like +5). Make the crafting related drops a tad more frequent and better than the combat item drops.Drop uber resources of significant amounts. With those compromises, the crafting community may welcome the addition of upgraded loot. Think of ways to make the drops dependent upon the crafting community.
If there is a will, there is a way. You can drop uber loot and still incorporate the crafting community. The question is, do you wnat to invest the time, money, and code?
I do beleive the player economy should remain intact. So I understand the reason for dropping cheaper loot. What I would like to see are more badges given out for my hard work. Overwise, whats the point in completing a quest.A player needs some kind of bragging rights in the game. If there's not going to be quality loot to brag about. Then at leastgive outa badgeso we canshow off to others.
All themeparks should have a badge. And quests like Nym's Stronghold should have badges too.
If loot is to be given out to players, then make them one of kind items. And make it so a player can't redo the quest to farm the item.
Schematic drops would be very cool.
also more types of drops like the krayat tissues and the one the drops for blaster handles (the name eludes me at the moment) but different types that would effect different stats .. speed...max range... ham cost reduction... so that you could have choices.
also i know there is a quest for an atst pilots helm but being able to wear it would be very cool.
Alot of people here keep saying the same things over and over again. By the third page, I hadn't read any new ideas. Very disheartened at the thought of having to read 51 pages of the same ideas over and over again, I decided to just post my ideas without further reading. Sorry, if I add myself to the list of people that have added the same ideas repeatedly.
1) A broken, unique type of droid that only adroid engineercan repair. HOWEVER - A Master smuggler is needed for slicing past some sort of encryption device aswell. This'll make crafters not left in the dust, as well as entice people to master professions instead of just dabbling. This is just ONE idea that'll make dabblers obsolete as well as make crafting and mastering all that much more usefull. This forumla could be used for any number of two, or even three professions.

Why can't you make loot drops the same quality as the crafters can make? Like +15 to intimidate/+15 to WarCry bandolier. I am a Commando and would love to see a class specific drop for me. How about gloves that give +20 to HAR accuracy/+15 to HAR speed or a big stash of Thermal grenades we can get off of pirates? How about finding a schematic for a very high quality camp that will give you faster exp alone as it does with people in your camp and gives dancers a chance to cure battle fatigue?
How about a gadget for Bounty Hunters that lets them track their bounties if they are within say 2km of target showing red footprintsof where their bounty is headed and lets them arggo the bounty if it is white makingthebounty run to them, or away(that would be cool)?An item that a very Hard and specific Bounty could drop that would give say +3 to Investigation. Class specific armor Schematics that ArmorSmiths can make? Or PA specific schematics that ArmorSmiths and Tailors can make. How about a loot that gives a class specific "New Special Move" that otherwise wouldn't normaly be done with that weapon such as weilding duel pistols or duel vibro knucklers for Teras Kasi?
How about a new schematic for the smugglers and chefs which instead of buffing HAM stats buffs Accuracy Mods and Speed mods(that would be very cool)? Or a schematic for the smuggler and chefs that temporarily reduces the HAM costs of specialswithout raising a single secondary stat(Carbineer anyone?)? Or how about a schematic for a Bio-Engineer that either A) increases a creatures damage above what can normaly be made, B) the creatures speed lowered that can normaly be lowered, C) adds Light armor to non armored creatures, D) increases armor level of an already armored creature by 1, E) can experiment on raising the creatures special protection or general effectiveness.
Heck you can even make a loot drop for a rare droid schematic that does the same thing for creatures as mentioned above but for droids. Or a schematic for the droid engineer that can set up patroling droids around bases that act like little mobile turrets and has a covert faction scanner on it. How about a schematic for a droid engineer that can enhance your body like cybornetic implants(can anyone say that would be REAL STAR WARSY?)?
The list is endless in what you, the DEV's, could add to this game.
