clearly those speaking on the armor issues have no right to complain about it. i clearly represent the majority that says leave it alone yes some may have an advantage with 80% kinetic but you trully have no idea the encumbrence it cuases when worn . example i am a master tka novice pikeman and use my mind for alot of the dmg i do i wear 80% kinetic but the encumbrence is so tough on it, that my mind takes a beating ok so i can solo most creature . pvp ? meet the right rifleman, and im dead before i can even reach him even with the armor i wear. so i say how can you complain when you probably where the same armor . if you nerf armor everyone runs back to creature handler to continue to solo . maybe i dont want to play with some of you why force me to group with you ? because you cant solo alone? i play east coast time my guild mates are west coast i should not be punished and forced to play with you. it should be my own choice not anyone elses there are still places that cannot be soloed i.e. genosian, nightsister dungeon, and so on

if there are complaints lets fix the problems at hand instead of screaming nerf nerf . for example, the murauder armor quest has yet to be fixed you dont get the lower arm peices you dont get the gloves'boots and, helmet. another is the cloning spawn that bh's are taking advantage of to kill jedi. classes still being broke enticing people to become those classes by uping them why not raise these classes instead of lowering the others. why not fix the trooper scanners so they can detect everything. im wearing everything sliced ,weapons are sliced ,and i still come up clean. not to mention the other numerous buggs still floating around such as the climb of speeder get thrown 100 meters away.

So before you go screaming nerf nerf if you can provide screen shots of people soloing the nightsister dungeons or the genosian dungeon then i will scream nerf with you otherwise leave us be, and let me decide wether i want to group with you or go on my own . how about adding more planets more creatures more content more quests things that make the game more exciting so that noone has time to scream nerf.

The only professions that should be able to duel wield at Master are:

Pistoleer, BH, Fencer and Jedi

No other reason for other classes to do this.

I'd like to comment on the issue of armor. Armor in SWG is clearly too powerful. It encourages soloing to virtual exclusing of grouping, makes being unarmored an unviable option (esp in PvP), and creates a cookie cutter environment where everyone is wearing their 70%+ composite. It also leaves factional armor (and uniforms) unviable (the cost on faction armor doesnt help).

The fundamental problem is that the "penalty" for wearing armor isnt really a penalty. Buffs are so powerful and easy to get that everyone runs around in their armor and buffed. In order to balance armor, forget penalties to secondary stats. Try penalties to defensive skills (ie ranged/melee, KD, dizzy, etc..) or to weapon speed. Armor is cumbersome and should make players easier to hit as they are less mobile (but allowing the armor to absorb damaage of course), leaving unarmored players options for pvp or for, heaven forbid, factional armor.

The reason people are all about soloing in this game is due to exp sucking in a grp, I speak from the standpoint of having mastered several combat proffesions, and xp is WAY faster alone than grped, as missions suck, you dont get to choose payouts, u dont get to pick a direction...its a waste of time standing around at a terminal waiting for people to refresh the screen 200 times waiting for missions in the payout/direction the frp is headed....next topic BUFFS- just shut up ur an idiot, without buffs and armor, pvp fights would last like 2 secs, kinda like when you fight a rifle/cm as it is now with buffs...I do however like th idea of lowering your defenses when wearing armor...would counter the templaters quite nicely. Oh and ur right, faction stuff in general is stupid expensive considering the FP payouts on missions suck...reference my statement about missions sucking

- I support a rollback and keeping & balancing the old combat system.

Ok as a jedi i would like to point out a few ideas if possible for the upcoming publish

I agree that Jedi, and the path to Master Jedi is long, as it should be, how ever it is very lonely out there on your own.

There is very little support in way of Mission terminal and other methods to gain XP, instead you have to run around and kill every thing So is there any chance you can develop mission terminals for Jedi?

Also In the Story of Star Wars there is a Jedi Temple and an order of the Jedi, i know that the Jedi are no longer on the story line, but is there a way Jedi can create a Jedi Order to join our skills on Force sensitive xp and train using the Jedi Forces in the guild.

How about some Quests for the Jedi so that we get bonus Force skills

And Finally is there another skill we could possibly get called Force Danger, where you SENSE any danger coming to you or attacking you such as A BH or a longer sight of danger than a normal person say 1000 meters.

Can you advise or maybe put up a Jedi forum now, after all we have more that enough Jedi around now?

Come on Sony........ Dont make us Jedi totally bored.

Thunderheart, I pray you read this. I like everyone, Idied multiple times in the geo labs. But I kept going back, trying different professions to find the best combo. For a couple of weeks now, I've been able to go in and kill the acklay once, the fire breathing spider twice, and about a hundred mercs completely solo with no exploits of any kind. I am an honest player who dispised those who were defense mod stacking to rape caves and loot everywhere. I have two geo loot vendors now. I've seen all the bugs there, from the mad 60 something spawns, to no spawns, to not being able to store my swoop, (like last night) and watching it be destroyed in front of my eyes. I use 275k canope, 300k brandi, 10k mind buffs, 25k med buffs, muon gold. I buy armor 5 pieces at a time and slice them all till I get the best slice. At 40k for helmets, and 70k for chest plates, 3300 one way airfare, spawn campers and rapers in the caves to contend with on every trip, you can imagine the hundreds of thousands of credits, and the unGodly man hours I've spent to achieve all of this. All funded with 30k - 44k sliced missions while grouped with my at-st. Last night for the first time I took a friend in. I've been searching for the pistol or carbine schematics as they are the only item that will sell high enough for me to ever see a return on my investments. Since the work/reward/ratio is so out of balance in this game. Even the fire spider has only produced twice in all the geo lab trips I've made. MY FRIEND SCORED THESCHEMATIC HIS FIRST TRIP. I was just sick to my stomach. I was so angry I was shaking. I'm still, even this morning, in complete shock. What would you do? I've never been so mad ata game in all my life, and am ready to uninstall before the day closes, dispite the fact I stupidly paid for another 60 days yesterday. While I know the needs and concerns ofthe many outweigh those of the few or the one, I am truly, completely offended. That I know of,you've never responded to one of my post, this time however, i'm gonna have to have some answers. Hails Out, Web Pirate.

Player Cities.

I'm not sure if this is how it was inteded to be or what but every time I go to a player city it's usuallya ghost town. It seems like a good idea I guess but I rarely see anyone in the player cities. I think for these to work better we as players should be given an incentive to go to the cities instead of hanging out in the star ports spamming their wares and advertising their vendors. After all the big uproar during beta about the player cities not going in and the big deal that was made about them finally coming out on live, it just doesn't seem like they are really that big of a deal to me. I mean I drop by once in a while to a vendor to buy something but most of the time I just try to find it on the bazaar. No telling how many times I've gone way out of my way to go to a vendor and the vendor is completely out of stuff so then I have to go over to the next vendor which is also out... It's easier to sit at the star port and listen to spam or just try to get it on the bazaar. Is this how it was intended? If we make vendors searchable through the bazaar, what purpose do we have for visiting a player city?

Player cities have ruined this game for me. The only benefit is to have shuttles in places where there are none. And even at that its silly since its faster to travel by swoop bike since every time i go to s shuttleport, the next one leaves in 9m59s.

Player cities ruined Naboo, Corellia and trashed Tatooine.

My opinion, and I've no idea what this would entail, make the planets bigger. instead of 15k x 15k make them 30k x 30k and double the city cap limit. This will effectivley decrease the area taken by player cities by 75%, make it even harder to find resource spawns, or easier to find a place to drop a harvestor.

When I started playing in August, prior to mounts, the planets were huge. Now they are tiny. I think the game needs to spread out and maybe this is going to happen with space expansion or something but I will continue to give my opinion that player cities, although cool at first, are stupid.

NPC cities should be improved. Many, Many people have suggested apartments in the empty highrise buildings.

There is so much room for more content in the various PA halls in the cities. Just go into the basement of any one of them, they are empty, just like the ones players setup. Every PA Hall in the NPC cities should be the home of one of the many factions in the game and have a mini theme park style quest like Garm's mission in Coronet.

I appreciate the Geo cave, I love the Corellian Corvette, but I'd really like to see the current NPC cities go through a more in depth redesign than the Bestine redesign. More NPC quest missions. The loot drops have improved a lot and I like taking the little mini quests. I prefer the more in depth Garm style quests and would love to be able to take faction missions from these NPC PA Halls.

Fine ideas for Jedi, but there are many other professions ahead of you inline too for mission terminals. I think the entertainer terminals need a revamp, smugglers need mission terminals. Basically all the mission terminals need a revamp and a half.

Main point on mission terms, raise the cap on what we can take solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to take Rancor missions by myself without grouping with a bunch of morons!!!!!

as for being bored, if you ground out X professions to get jedi and are not bored already, then I can't imagine why you're bored now...

Just a question -

When will the Armor Chestplate Degredation be fixed?

The issue is, and has seemingly been covered up, it that on death, Armor chestplates have been massively degrading on condition, even when insured. Usually, insured items were supposed to degrade 1% if insured, I thought, and 5% if not. Well, we are talking at least 10-15% for INSURED Armor Chestplates.

It has been bugged, and CSR's have been called, only to tell players the system is working as it should. Sorry, but the system was working as it should before, not now.

TH, are the devs even aware of this issue? I went though a chestplate in 3 days and 5 deaths. That just isn't right...

  • MISSIONS wont let some of us take them..says we are below the level which is BS

I thought it was ME. I live on Lok and I rarely see spawns anymore. I'm glad someone else noticed it. My buddy got back into the game after a departure. He was levelling scout and thought he'd run to Nym's from my house for the scout xp from masking. In the 7km run, he encountered two lairs and they were both missions. Back in the day, there were spawns ALL OVER. Kimogilas were all over. Where are they now? One cannot hunt on lok anymore. It's all missions.

they do appear about once a day...usually just after the server reset...

I logged on this AM and there was a pack of ferosciuos kusaks near my front door some perlaks nearby and flits all over...when i log in at lunch they will be gone...

this really started several months ago...

now the only things you see are the mission spawns and static spawns...

The 6Week rule should trigger a Tax Forclosure on the derilict player's House. The city should be able to auction of these forclosures to keep there cities alive and add to tax revenue. It is inevitable that players will leave the game.

I seems to me that this would be a good balance. I have not heard a better suggestion.
