Its good to get at these boards at lasst!! Thanks for opening them up - i could neever work out the log-in before!!
Anyway, The 15 second call seems to work perfectly with everything that i have tried. And it seems to make hunting etc much smoother as there is no need to camp as often.
the only problem is that i miss camping!! I miss the fire on face whilst friends dance and play slitheron between rancor lairs! I mean obviouisly we still camp every now and then (when the medic run out of mind!) But it has removed the camping necessity making a bit less frequent (i'm glad i got IV survival before the patch!!)
Anyway on the whole it seems to have speeded up hunting, but has removed some of the spirit of group hunting!

Rangers can track creatures. This is a feature that doesn't really have as much use as it could have, but it's useful when the group uses it. Ranger has the camo ability which again doesn't have the uses that could be in game, but players who utilize it can make some use of it.
Rangers could never truely Track Creatures mind you this was promised to us in AUGUST of last year. We Area track whicth gives a Vague idea of whats been spawned within a 500m radius. but due to lag issues there are lessstatic spawns, and then theres speeders. Speeders have made area track usless mostly because creatures will spawn as you travel and you can cover more ground easyer on a speeder looking around then having to stop and scan (areatrack) every five minutes camo is a waist as well it breaks as frequently as maskscent and the bigest reason for it was to move on foot with a group w/o argos. Speeders defeat this purpuse. and maskscent doesn't reqiure making limited use kits so most rangers don't waist there time with this.
The Ranger camps are better than any regular scout camps. The big ones even have crafting stations so groups can sit around crafting while camping if they need a reason to sit out in the wild besides saying they want to and pop a tent.
Tents are still needed or has uses in the game. There are many more things that the DEVs could make use of them for. It would be nice if these ideas were listened to by SWG staff.
Ranger camp vs. droid. Ranger camps need to be built and put up by a ranger/ Droids can be used by any class. ranger camp craft stations not only have no rating but there is no way of making them better or worse/ droid crafting stations not only can be built with higher ratings then camp craft stations but they can be used to store goods and can be re-deployed and aren't limited by how close you are to lairs ofr buildings. camps truley have NO PURPOSE anymore
Changing the creature/vehicle camp use is not the way to go. Anyone can and did do as I have done. All it requires is take up scout yourself and use the stupid tent just to do what you have to do. There's still no "hiring out" or whatever of scouts or rangers from anywhere I saw. Maybe friends made use of what you were as a profession, but I can bet you'll fit in still.This auto storing alone is reason enough to not put it back. But the main thing to not put it back for, this IS A GAME and FUN should be the most important thing. I know I see the creature handlers and everyone with a vehicle having more fun with the new deploy feature.
First and formost you need to know that using camps for calling vechicals has never been the Issue. The Issue for Rangers is the fact that in AUGUST we got a list of changes promised to our class to make us something better then glorified Scouts, only 2 fixes out of the many ever made it into game and not only did they make those changes obsolete but now they took the only tree that had any use to us and made it useless. you speek about this being a game and suppost to be fun but the fact isONE PERSONSFUN SHOULD NEVER BE AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS! there where ways to settle the auto storing without making tents useless. For one they could have made tentsuseable (not buildable mind you)for everyone, wouldn't you think haveing everyone cappable of building camps is better then making them purposless. Or at the very least they could have made it so only vehicals could be called w/o tents vehicals were the problem not the other pets. Instead they stepped on the Rangers and Scouts to make everyone else happy. And now they basically have said the won't do anything for the Rangers that have been in limbo since AUGUST til at least after Jedi get a two months of Re-Vamp. FRIGG'N jedi wern't even in game when rangers were promied fixes and now they take prefrence.

I won't argue that it's a benefit, but don't mention tracking skills until you've tried it. That's just a reminder that I might as well drop all my ranger skills because it's not worth the points.
