TIGGS -

I very much hope YOU, as a new Community Relations Dev, will break this LAME pattern of posting things on Patch days, then DISAPPEARING for days.

We need answers NOW.

First off, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for putting shadows back on text - now I can read vendors and player's names again. However, take is OFF the Chat box. It was never that way before. Get it right. Get it the way it was. Shadow on text on in-game objects, and OFF other parts of the UI. I fail to see the difficulty on this. Get it right. This has been drawn out way too long. Fix it. But for the love of God, keep shadow on in-game objects - and please consider the very logical request that people be able to shadow/unshadow text as they desire client-side. If that's possible.

Second, this is not Publish 10.2 - at least, it better not be. We need an answer on this NOW. If this is Publish 10.2:

Where are the Entertainer Quests. Why have you given us NO opportunity to test the REWARDS from the Quests on TC. If the new dance, new song, and new instrument are broken in anyway, you will SHATTER any faith the Entertainer community has left in you people. It is unacceptable that these Entertainer Quests have been on TC for months, yet the new song and dance, and new instrument are nowhere to be found. THAT'S what we'll be using and messing with for years to come - that's what we'll be messing with on Live. The new dance, song, and instrument. Give us the time we deserve and need to test them and make sure they work properly. The LAST thing Dancers need is ANOTHER broken dance. Put it on TC.

This complete lack of communication is inexcusable. Someone from the Dev Team wake up. We don't need responses tomorrow, or Thursday, or Friday right before you go home for the weekend so nothing can be clarified. Respond NOW.

Thank you, as always, for everything you do. But you people really need to start talking to us, not leaving us to sit around and scratch our heads.

Thankyou for the text shadowing! Skill Tree text looks so much cooler, and chat window text looks much clearer. This is the best patch in months IMO.

How the hell do you go thru1 or2 vehicles a day? I been playing for over 1 year and still have and use my original vehicle. What do you do? Do you know that you should repair the vehicle, that might be a good suggestion for you.

heres how vehicles get destroyed:

scenario 1: youre fighting a lair of mobs, if youre smart youll have all of em surrounding you up 10 lets say. and youll be using area attacks. as they wear down in hit points they wander off...guess what they attack when they wander off and youre busy fighting their friends still? you guessed it, your speeder (that dies in 1 hit).

scenario 2: youre overt or have tef. youre buffed another player is buffed. it takes forever to kill someone in pvp so they turn around and take your bike out in one hit.

ya, you could always store the bike first. but....waiting 30 seconds after combat when youre power grinding is just annoying. plus you dont always have that option, if youre engaged in combat (whether you choose it or not), you can no longer store the bike until combat is over. at which point the bike is already done...again it only takes 1-2 hits. just drive away you say? easier said then done whn youre aggressor/opponent does a kd or posture change. it knocks you off your bike, they run up kill your bike and there you have it.

therefore any higher end player thats grinding or pvp'ing could really care less about a paint job that lasts a few days."

--------

Okay, My original post still stands, I too, always fight mobs, but you should get off your bike about 80m out then fight and I have never personally had a creature/NPC walk off and attack my bike and never seen it happen to anyone else. Not saying it can't be done. All I can say about being overt, is store it before combat begins or walk it if you think your around the enemy. Waiting the 30 secondsis nothing, you can start walking toward yoru destination and then get on it when it spawns. Being overt, well that kind of destruction of vehicle is rare, I PVP atleast once or twice a day and unless your very careless, you should be fine.

I don't really care about the paint job, that's mute point and is just decoration. I am a high end player, can't go any higher till I get my Jedi and that is another subject.

It's spelled:

QUE

not

CUE

This more than anything else scares me to death.

On the loading screen, with the 10.2 notes?

...added to combat CUE...
Should be
...added to combat QUE...

/sigh

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Hi Tiggs,

I am having difficulty reading vendors and chat. The font quickly gives me a headache if I look at it too long.

Other than the font, I haven't experienced anything else bad since the update.

Thanks.

Kaairn Targ- CL90 jedi
Jaree L'Even - Entertainer .
Kara Zor-El - Trader, praying for the miricle failed, still stuck as the arbitrary two professions the devs decided to lump together.

I supported keeping & balancing the Pre-CU combat system. Shame SOE decided not to listen.

You sure you don't mean 'queue'? This got burned in early during my pursuit of a Computer Science degree...

dictionary.com reveals this:

queue n.

  1. A line of waiting people or vehicles.

  2. A long braid of hair worn hanging down the back of the neck; a pigtail.

  3. Computer Science.

    1. A sequence of stored data or programs awaiting processing.

    2. A data structure from which the first item that can be retrieved is the one stored earliest.

versus,

que

Que, n. [Cf. 3d Cue.] A half farthing. [Obs.]

So the patch notes should be changed to the combat half farthing instead of the pool stick?

Sorry, my servers about due to get a facelift and I'm bored. Oh yeah, Steriogram rules!

Roleplayers are already getting the short end of the stick on so many issues ... at least let us keep the magazine that Grimbear/Akane and the contributors work so hard on!

what I find entertaining is the loading screen that mentioned to save our emails but gave a command to save them that does not work...

I started using this comand after one week playing. I use it in a macro I run just before login off the game... and it WORKS PERFECTLY since... never had a problem, mail mailbox has at most 10 mail and I have litterally thousands stored on a CD !

Maybe you are doing something wrong ! never came to your mind ?

There is indeed a command that works, but they put the two words backwords on the loading screen... being at work I can't recall which is the real and which the bogus, but one is /mailsave and the other /savemail they had the non-working on on the loading screen even last night... a quick search of the forums produced the correct and working one with no issues for me...

But, a little checking of what they are announcing in a public manner would certainly help.. more and more I see devs and people high in the heirarchy showing that they just dont play the same game we do, nor with the same assumptions that we have...
