I have a FFXI account and they have recently added a feature called "Friends List Plus". Basically you can log into your game acount via the web browser and see which of your friends are online/offline. Those friends that are online can have messages sent directly to them - in game.
While this in itself would be a nice feature for SWG, the concept could be taken further. Obviously anything that is graphically intense is out of the question, but how many players would like to monitor their SWG auctions, buy things from the Bazarre, manager their inventory or even craft things during their lunch break at work.
Hope this is a useful idea, keep up the good work.
Hmm... Smuggling, Spice, and Enhanced Weapons are also outlawed...

I think the Devs know what they are doing... Give it some thought. All high level MOBs inthe game have both high kinetic resistance and heat resistance.

In PvP good composite armor will have both good kinetic and heat resistances.

My guess is that the devs want to make it look like they are giving in and giving us another damage type, as if it will help us. Problem is that heat damage is just as bad as kinetic. If you don't belive me then head over to the Carbineer forum, theCarbineersare always complaining about the heat weapon they have.
- Human Sized BactaTank, which can be fueled in and out visually (not necessarly with actual stimpack fluid but only for visual effect, maybe a hoovering effect to simulate anyone stepping in, like he is floating, with some bubbles textures as per the actual cloning factories)
- Respiratory Mask, whether inside or outside the Tank, to simulate the afflicted person is under monitoring and respiratory assistance
- Wall Coloring Area inside your house/Textures Skins, enable the owner of a house to choose from a certain color palette for each room to give it a special feeling (like White for Mediacl Room, Red for Crafting Forge, etc...), also it would be cool to choose some walls texturing like Bespin Patterns, Medical Pattern (with some electronics built in), Corellian Corvette Pattern, etc...
- FX-7 Medical Droid, Ok we have 2-1B droid, now its time to include its partner : FX-7, i hope it will soon appears with his multiple arms and i hope its futire multiple medical modules as well
-War Room : We do need to simulate MORE the technology/warlike/hi-tech side of starwars Ambiance,lets include:
- War Holotable : Like The Table of the Yavin HQ, The Death Star Holotable in A New Hope, Vader 's Personal Holoprojector with the emperor and Military Projectors in the SSD executor in The Empire Strike Back , and the Mon Calamari Cruiser Holotable in the Briefing before the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi. It would be cool if those furnitures would have options like projetting some REAL holograms, whether as built in options or maybe as various modules declined according the components used.
- Glass Panels and Screens:The vertical glass panels keeping tracks of troops displacement like in ECHO BASE in The Empire Strike Back , Yavin Room in A New Hope, they are already in game within HQ but it would be cool we could put them in our GH or Houses. Also Huge screens with some real pictures flickering in, like the screens used by Tarkin to watch the appraoch of Death Star on Yavin, or the Screens in the Throne Room in Return of the Jedi
- More Data Terminals and Electronics textures/skins : I am fed up of my blank walls, i would be able to make a TRUE TECHNOLOGICAL ROOM : as in the Death Star, i would have the feeling i am entering in a metal-covered corridor with plenty of electronics apparatus beeping and flashing all around, alos use a light source like the verticals stripes panels used in the death Star, or have HUGE data terminals with the Death Star Docking Bay room (where solo and skywalker sneaked in and found leia's location) eg: the red and black big cupboards with a lot of screens and buttons. And:SCOMPLINK ACCESS, come on guys, how could have you forget about the HUGE asset of everyone astromech droid?
a scomplink access could give off a lot of option when used by someone's R5, R3 or R2 droid, like more info on the structures/quest/owner/location of his owner, his professionand so on...or the owner would be able to leave behind a private message for anyone with the appropriate droid, or credit a bank account when used,etc... - Craftable Recordable/Datadiscks : We NEED some datadisk or items which can RELAY information in a big quantity, elsewhere than in the title when crafted : like datadisks, cartridge, Hard Drive, some could be recorded and rewrited ( erasable) and some would be permanent, depending of the crafter, then we would be able to carry message, create libraries, stories, poems, riddles, codes, maybe even waypoints or schematicswhich could be carried on or/and traded.
-Game Room : When will the following will be available?
- Dejarik Holotables: The tables are already in game and it looks they can be used (sign 'use' when rolled over) but nothing is yet done as it seems : is it previewed in some future publish? What i WOULD LIKE : is REAL Dejarik complex rules with some REAL 3D designed holographic creatures (Houjix, Grimtassh, Molator, Mantellian Savriip,etc..) fighting and moving as in a New Hope, making a game inside the game. What i WOULD NOT like is a crappy lousy game like the jubilee wheel which is only a line of command text...
i want to not let the wookie win..And i would LOVE those holotables be CRAFTABLE and put inside my house - Sabacc : Craftable and Playable with unique graphic, and also complex rules with real bets set by everyone at the beginning : like as in a collective secure trade : everyone bet anything : credits, items, schematics, data, ships, anything....and the winner take it all if he wins, once again a REAL game, not a jubilee wheel /lugjack junk please....
I Think that if we have all these we would be able to have much more Star Wars feeling like in the old movies....![]()
Last night I was out running faction missions because I am working on maxing out my faction rank and several people asked me why. I know this has been discussed before, but I was thinking about ways that faction rank can become more important.
What if PC faction rank had a similar effect as NPC faction rank? What I mean is, NPC Warrant Officers are tougher than Sergeants and so on, so why can't PC faction rank do something similar?
What if there were defensive bonuses granted to faction combat for higher ranks. I know this can be a tough balance, so I have a couple of senarios:
At each rank level, a player gains a +1 ranged/melee defense bonus when fighting factioned missions only or
At every third rank, a player gets a +2 bonus to either ranged or melee. Ex: At sergeant +2 ranged...At Master Sergeant +2 Melee...etc or
A +5 ranged/Melee bonus at the NCO rank (Warrant Officer II) and another +5 at Colonel.
Note, these bonuses would only apply to Factioned Combat, just like alot of other thigs (no decay for instance)
Anyway, just a relatively easy idea for making rank more useful.
This can't be said enough:
Make the Landspeeder a multi-person transport. No, you don't have to make the passenger able to shoot or anything like that, just make them able to drive along as a passenger.
This would make the Landspeeder useful (other than being the coolest vehicle in the game).
