OK, whats going on with:

1. The expected change to 5 minute wait for ships, and then being surprised by 10 min. at starports. Why do the devs like to waste our valuable time? What is more important in our busy lives in today's stressed out world (RL) than our time? So out of touch and disconnected from ... *scream*

2. Why did our pets stop following? What happened and when will it be fixed?

3. What is the deal with repairing vehicles after every outing, multiple times per day? They can build starships but they cant build a bike that will last a freakin week? It's too expensive and too frequent. More stress, more worries, more monitoring, more work, and it all adds up to less fun! What's wrong with having to repair a vehicle after about a week's time at least?, and for REASONABLE tune-up costs?

4. Fraud. Getting ripped off by players should notbe tolerated. Had an instance this week where someone sold me a bogus AV-21 power unit for $1M. This is my first time being ripped off, and I learned from it, and I got my money back through 2 hours of being harrassed by the perp and threatening to report him, but lets look at CSR's SOE response. I acted immediately with a knowledge base search, and reported a ticket, explaining that I had screenshots of the perp's admission and disdain, and I had the part, with his name as the "crafted by." Doh on me for not checking that in the trade. But here's the rub, they will not accept screenshots as evidence, as if somehow I'm going to be able to fabricate an ingame window conversation clearly demonstrating guilt, but OK!, also, they require some kind of /report function that captures the last 100 lines of text conversation, and which despite a debate by Holo Ticket with numerous explanations by the representative and the unclear knowledge base explanation of the /report function, I still to this day do not understand how to properly use the /report function. Do I use my name or the perps? When do I have to do it for anyone to ACT ON IT? During the transaction? Or during the admission of guilt during chat? Both? Finally, the perp was such a fool that with the crafted part in hand, any CSR could have used it to get an admission of guilt by the peep in question, but because it didn't follow this /report protocol, they refused to even try. I am telling you right now that they could have gotten this guy to admit what he did, and still could. But instead this creep who harrased me every step of two hours before i got my money back is still among us on the server.

No SOE has continuously supported making it easier for the person committing fraud against other to prevail. Right now, I can pull the still existing posts about the subject, but I will not list them as I am sure they will mod delete them from public view then, just as they did whenthe previous perpsproblems disappeared on the forums after the perp found out that someone had documented the posts offsite. They mysteriously are unable to access logs unless they want to, they know that screen shots could provide them with quite enough evidence, and if nothing else help them reference something in the logs to check, but again they only apply the letter of the EULA to people that are the victims, letting the fraud perps get away with it time and time again.

In the Tempest forum we had the guy come onto the forums, openly BRAG about ripping people off, and yet when we, the playerbase at large, got pissed and demanded action we were all threatened with banning if we didn't shut up about the situation. So to this day I really have lost all faith in Garva, the mod, and any sense of supposed authority he has is basically abused to grieve players in the game that look out for each other, while championing game criminals, AFAIC.

So my respose to you is basically anoticeto the managers of this game. Keep shoving your heads in the sand. The day someone commits a crime on this forum I can document you won't be able to mod delete it away. I guarantee that.

Thunderheart, please answer this in the spirit of the GCW revamp approaching, without going to a faction recruiter, how do I know what rank I am?

I would like to have the option to display my imperial rank instead of a profession over my head, I would also like to be able to know what rank I am...

Thunderheart:

Vehicle decay times need to slow down.

I spent 10 hrs playing SWG yesterday

I had to repair my bike 6 Times at 3500-4500c per time.

So lets say approximately 24000c for playing for 10 hours.

Maintenance on a PA hall costs less. (the most expensive maintenance in the game)

I shouldnt have to repair my bike more than once or twice a week.

And even 4-8k a week is more than most houses maintenance.

CAN WE PLEASE DO SOMETHING.

This is not fun.

i agree but i think the problem is that with vehicles the planets seemed to shrink by like 1000% and everyone dropped creature handler, now it forces us to walk from the starport to the bazaar terminals instead of whipping out the speeder for the 100m walk. Or better yet, buy a mount, food is cheap...

Either way, if the intention was to make it so that we didn't do everything in the game from a speeder, then it makes sense and now we just have to consider the other options. Walking around in this game seems painful nowadays, but it does bring back some fond memories...

Can we get some kind of formal statement on the job CSRs have been tasked with of raiding the houses and shops of established crafters?

I personally have never been contacted by a CSR for anything (outside of a form letter reply to my submitted tickets) but there's something very unbalanced about some of the reports I've seen on these boards and others about recent (past 2-3 weeks) raids on the shops of crafters from weaponsmiths to chefs.

I'm not looking for details on any specific case as I have no information or anythign riding on anyone's specific guilt or innocence. Just looking for an official statement on what CSRs looking for, what is the extent of their "powers", how to stay out of trouble, and what to do and who to contact regarding complaints with the process? It would put your non-exploiting customers at ease to know that they won't wake up one morning in a giant whirlwind they have zero control over.

Thx!

(and good all around job on the DE publish - my datapad is now full!)

Thunderheart, do you think it would ever be possible that there could be a way to view in-game SWG email via a website? That way when we aren't online, we are still able to keep up with in-game email and stuff.

Thank you.

I hope to have some very exciting news on this front

TH, what about the everlasting technical issue with SWG, systems with 1GB of RAM, and 256MB video cards that is causing SWG to crash when loading, and forcing us to halve our ram to make SWG playable? This is totally unacceptable considering I have to *cripple* my system to be able to play your game.

More information about my issue with it, and how I fixed it, but the performance decrease I experienced to fix it is unacceptable.

Posted this a few weeks ago, still no change, so I'll post it again :

The NPC Bartenders still haven't been updated since Act II. Asking them for current events will cause them to talk about Dr. Vacca and the Drall. It seems like no one really has responsibility for them, so they dont get updated. It would be great and very easy for someone to just modify the text files every publish to give them something fresh.

I will try to ask this simply,

TH, Holocron, GarVa, Q-3po, and the rest of you guys at SOE:

Do these message boards work for you 100% as you expector do you experience the same problems all of us have been having since these boards were migrated from beta to live?

I think one/all of you should try jumping through the hoops to open a regular station fan account and one to post to these boards and try it out a couple weeks. I understand that the announcement says they are now public, but that's not 100% correct, maybe 65% correct, the other 35% you have to login to get here at all.

Now if you docreate an account and think nothing is wrong, which a typical web developer does, its because you did not really try using the account. See what it's like to lose a post because you submit it after you time out. Or you are forced to login like 9 times until it sticks and clicking to remember password is as effective as 2handed hit 3.

I don't want to compare these boards with boards of other games or post a list that compares the number of bugs on these boards with the game, but they are great some of the time and lousy the rest of the time. Would it be asking too much to have the web developers put a little time into either checking into the problems or maybe getting a new board altogether?

These boards, to me, are a big perk to the SWG account, they provide mountains of useful information and are a great way to chat with other players you may never bother with in the game. I just wish the board worked a little bit better. I'd like to log in one time and for the rest of the time i come back, i'm already logged in, so just fixing the "remember me" to using a more permanent cookie would help. After all, these boards are now publicly accessible, there should be no time outs on our sessions if we don't want one.

I know there are more important things to work on, but I know your dev team has nothing to do with these boards and I'm sure the web developer(s) can take a look into the program that runs these boards between trips to starbucks. Making these boards function better will go a long way for making people that post here a little more positive and constructive.

so when are we gonna get some real answers rather than this wait for the bs combat balance and gcw revamp. can you at least turn the darn battlefields back on since you cannot get the revamps done in a timely manner.

I have asked the CSR team this question both via ticket and in chat but they don't have the information (Why don't you just issue them with a list of deliberate changes each day so they can answer this sort of question?)

Were the changes to the Corvette with the extra Super Battle Droids spawning all over the ship intentional or is it a bug. I'll make it real easy so there can be no misunderstanding:

Answer 1 (one) for Intentional - And you could give us a reason if you're feeling nice

Or

Answer 2 (two) for a bug - don't want to know when it will be fixed, just that it is a bug

This is not just for this issue, but it seems to happen a lot, something changes, people comment wondering whether it was meant to be or a bug and we don't hear... you all know what you meant to change (its in the days update documents right) so if its not ont he list just reply to one of the "Whats going on with ... ?" threads to say "Its a bug - we'll fix it when we can"

As you can't read all the threads in the forums everyday why not have a thread specifically called "Is this a bug or intended". Reporting bugs in game doesn't let us know whether what we are reporting is actually a bug and whether we can expect anything to be done about it.

Thanks
