"failed to loging"
I'm pretty sure that the system message you got when you used the looted disk said something along the lines of "pointing to a location on another planet" or it might have even mentioned Dathomir specifically (can't remember the exact wording off the top of my head). If you open your datapad and show waypoints for all planets, you'll see the waypoint is in there for the village on Dath. Once you actually get to Dath, the waypoint will become active. (waypoints for other planets are never active when you're on another planet)

Now on the Test Center I was visited by the old man. Then was attacked by 2 sith. I looted a disc from one of them. Instead of opening it on the planet I was on (naboo) I tried to open it on Dathomir. That didn't work and it told me it was for another planet. So I opened it on Coronet. In doing so I didn't get anyWPand the disc was selfdestructed........ Checked the datapad again. No difference. Relogged still nothing.
So I guess something went wrong there.....

Don't screw around too much with travel while you're doing this quest. The stupid discs tend to break every now and then. Kill the first two sith, then use their disc on the same planet, ideally while not near the edge of the map. Go to the WP, slaughter the sith there, use the disc, *then* go to Dathomir. Use outside knowledge to try to jump to Dath early hurts you in this case =X
but this is what bug testing is all about ![]()
find what doesnt work

I had this happen to me too. Figuring I already knew where I was supposed to go, I forgot to open the disk while I was still on Naboo. So I shuttled to Corellia, then to Science Outpost. When I got to Science Outpost I tried to open it so I could get the waypoint again, but it gave me that message about how the disk is for another planet or some such wording. Good thing it wasn't on live servers, or I would have been out the 2300 or so credits per shuttle hop to Dath
The funny thing is that even though I got the disk on Naboo, I was able to open it on Corellia - which was nice, since I didn't have to shuttle one more planet to open it, then shuttle back to Corellia before returning to Dath (lots'o'credits).
My question now though is this:
What happens when Publish 10 goes live, if you happened to have logged out in one of the Dath outposts? Will you not get a visit from the old man? Will you have to pay to shuttle back to another planet, and if so, can some announcement be made to that effect? I do a lot of hunting on dath and know that I log out there a lot, mostly to save time and money. And if the old man *will* be able to visit you on Dath, will the sith still jump you? And if the sith jump you, what happens when you get to the looting of the data disk that contains the coordinates to the village, if you're on dath to begin with, it won't work...
my *guess* is that the old man wont come to dathomir....
This isnt supposed to be your everyday run-o-the-mill quest, so its ok to have certain parameters, like the first events will only happen if you're on a basic planet.
