Morning TH...

I think one of the major points to bring up is.. Contraband!

As a jedi and with another character who uses lots of sliced armor and spices, is there any way we can get some clarification on what is or is not contraband.

I assume that Spices and all sliced items are illegal.. as they should be. However what else is?

Im not telling - - thats part of the fun of the game.

Excqueezeme?

Losing a $1M brick of uber Lok Wild Wheat is "part of the fun of the game"?

Tell you what. You play that game. I'll play Minesweeper.

TH, I won't ask for armor for wookiees,I just want the wookiee bowcaster to be more powerful in the hands of wookiees as it was described, the wookiee race doesn't get attention already, please hear my plea after 7 months of grief.

As for decay...I agree the way it is now its unworkable and not a good solution, however decay *is* needed in a player run economy...otherwise all crafters would craft for a short time and then surrender...there would be no stablity at all. However, decay, as it is right now, is not the way it should be. Why would items, such as crafting tools, that have no durability at all..decay? They would simply break after a period of time. Being killed with one on your person may mean that the item has a chance of breaking completely...but how, exactly, does it decay with no durability component? This escapes all logic or reason. Decay should be a function of over time, but I suspect the reason we don't have that sort of decay is that it happens too quickly and the devs don't know how to make it work right. This does not give me a lot of uh...confidence.

Over the last months, I've sat back and watch how things go. It seems to me that devs are focusing on things that are totally not necessary. One thing that comes to mind are vendors. Vendors sort of work as they are, they aren't absolutely broken as other systems are. I've watched as commandos start coming out of the woodwork and creature handlers surrender...why? Commandos are over powered, creature handlers are now under powered in comparison. Rangers have no real function except to be the ultimate skinners. Bounty Hunters make money hand over fist ruining someone's day. Jedi are totally unknown or dead. I've thought of going through all the stuff to make one of my characters find a jedi, but everytime that thought occurrs to me I ask myself why? I don't want to play a multi-player game alone. The class, itself, is very cool, but why play alone? Its not the road I'd want to take. Right now, I start to play with my friends, most of whom have become a Commando/TK because they want to be uber killing machines, but then I just don't because its no fun to go on a hunt and stand back and watch while the commandos fry everything insight before I even get a shot off...or send my pets into the fray. Yeah...you might say...well you're hunting really low level stuff for the group...I'll tell you...you're right, but short of hunting Krayts that are camped 24/7 and have a capped spawn...what's left? How long will this go on? I guess this comes out of being very discouraged last night. Its really not a fun game anymore.

Ok, so...I have a tailor. My tailor has been a master since...well...I believe it was the 4th week of wanderhome being up. I've no new schematics, I've gotten a few schematics fixed...and a palette fixed. Other palettes are still bugged and if I try to make jewelry it becomes frustrating because I still can not see what I'm working on. I am told that we're getting a couple of new things with the chef nerf/update, but that's not really enough...I can only make so many bow ties in so many colors before that will be boring. I've been promised new wookiee clothes and a better leather palette, but it was a month and a half ago that we were told we had a great new surprise coming soon...what is soon?

Well that accounts for 2 of my four characters on Wanderhome...yes I have four accounts. My dancer...ok...she's a master dancer/entertainer/musician. On exotic 4 there are three...count them...three flourishes that are different...that's out of 9. There has been no improvement in that profession since...hmm, they gave dancer and musician masters a buff...yay, that was a step but not nearly far enough. Ok...that's...3 of my four.

I've another toon that I use to survey for the first 3. Why? my tailor, in order to be a master tailor/merchant/armorsmith can not survey. She has no other skills except those three professions. In order to do anything for her, I have to have a surveyor...guess what she will become other than a surveyor...you got it...a Commando. Why? Because I want to have some functional character that can fight and have fun in a fight. Why would you ever allow ONE class to over ride the rest of the combat personnel...why are so many people going over to that profession...have you even looked at your demographics?

I think before you start reactivating old accounts and inviting people back...you need to do a lot more work in a lot more areas...and not just nerfing, but adding content, adding to classes and bringing in some challenge. I think Jedi need to be able to play with their friends without threat that their character is going to be hunted down by some griefer group for 150K credits. I really feel that its WRONG to isolate what should be the most honored of us all.

Please "add more servers" to Dantooine and Lok. On Eclipse you can often travel by food across the planets and see no spawns. Vendor take forever to initial so merchant lose sales. Since Player cities are more limited then the major starting cities then on Dantooine and Lok there are more players on Lok and Dantooine then any other planets.

Thunderheart, i think we deserve some kind of clarification on how or if we will be compensated for mastering holo profs and trying to open our FS SLOT some of us have spent months on it and if you are changing it you better explain it. I want some details, i dont want you to tell us exactly how the new quest system will work, but i want to know how we will be compensated, if you cant give me those details well i guess when the patch goes live and i still dont have FS ill just quit the game, along with many others.

Also id like to know WHY you gave out holocrons at christmas if you were just going to change the entire system a month later? trying to keep people in the game are we??

Sorry if this sounds rude or overbearing, but i am extremly annoyed so are a lot of others.

TH, I'm frustraded.

You seem to have a limited amount of items you can/will discuss each week.

I've read every post you've made, and every post made in the "weekly roundtable." That is a LOT of posts.

You keep answering questions about UPCOMING features, and almost all of the player posts are about bugs, "features," broken weapons, broken promises and broken hearts, or "things we'd like to see."

Can you explain the Dev's inability to do the following, even briefly explain?

1. Fix bugs and what the CSR's are telling me are "known issues."
2. Fix weapons, like the Elite Carbine that have not worked since launch.
3. Post a Known Issues website for all to see, even if that means alerting all to exploits.
(maybe there would be more of an incentive to fix the exploits that way?)

Oh, and here's a comment you will never adress, but I'll throw it out there anyway: The recent banning of players for DUPING things... The developers used an automated program to ban players for duping. There were people banned who were not duping. Those people are told by the CSR's to contact the devs about their accounts. The devs send back a "screw you, cheater" canned response, that basically says they are hosed. I know a player who had a jedi on gorath who got banned... Like someone with a jedi would dupe items.. Yeah, whatever. Now, I can't say for a FACT that they were not cheating, because I was not holding their hands the whole time they are playing, but I do know, for a fact, that if the devs were to pull the logfiles on the "cheaters" that were banned, they would find people who were banned for nothing.

The only response I'm hearing about this is to ignore the player, cancel any avenue the player has to communicate with the devs, remove their posts from the forums, and hide behind a rock hoping the player will just give up and go away. People didn't even get a reason why, and you are still billing their accounts!

So YAY, we got rid of a few cheaters. There's a guy on naritus that had 500k of ostrine carbonate ore, when it only spawned ONCE, 5 months ago, and was selling it for 600 credits per unit until we finally got a spawn of it. He was OBVIOUSLY duping, and was reported for such by several people. THAT guy is still playing, while a guy I speak to on teamspeak every night had 2 of his three accounts banned, and still has no idea what he did to get banned.

I don't know how long I'll be able to continue to play this game and watch all my friends go away because of the lack of content, the abundance of bugs, the proliferation of known issues, etc., etc., etc.

TH are the devs aware of the pistoleer thread with /signs for duel weild? It's long.... Anyways my real question is the combat music bug after getting up from feign death being fixed or even known about? Basically feign death, creature leaves, bleeds, no health, stand up, attack, no sound for combat for next 20 mins. Kinda odd cuz it is a good way for me to know when i'm under attack.

Any chance that contraband could be 'overlooked' if you were a high ranking officer. This would give faction ranks a little more of an advantage.

So..... *clicks tongue* what about this from two weeks ago?

Here's a real, real, real simple fix for you.

Spraystick is supposed to be acid damage
Tusken RIfle is supposed to be kinetic damage
T21 was talked about being Blast damage

Click here for proof that the Devs hate Riflemen. And here's the kicker! (Seperate thread)
Making a controversial point: Ignored
Making a good controversial point: Locked
Making a great controversial point no one can argue: Thread Deleted
There are few things you can post, for everything else, there's a CSR waiting.

Hey TH. Just something that's been frustrating me. I have been trying for over a month trying to get a Bull Rancor (baby). Now at 134 lairs, 50 of those being wild lairs the rest mission lairs I am still empty handed. Is this what was intended? I mean, just how long am I going to have to keep trying. Far as I know, there have only been about 4-5 confirmed Bull Rancor (babies). I don't mind rare, but this is just insane!...

Well, in "fantasy terms" of the game, you're chasin a red dragon...yes its supposed to be that rare.

Well, yeah I understand that. However. There is no reason for this particular tameable to be so rare other than the, "Oh look it's a big rancor, cool," factor. And I would hardly use the red dragon term for it either. Rancors hardly reflect the power they should possess here.

However, because I am incredibly stupid and obsessive (having OCD's can suck sometimes) I can almost not stop until I get one. But still. There is no reason for it being sorare when a BE can make better.Even with the AOE disease it has, it is not effective in PvE and it is really nothing more than a grief tool in PvP. Not to mention I would never use this insanely rare pet in PvP anyways. That's certain pet death. You know what I mean?...

Yes, I am currently having my weekend and it is good...thanks...

W00T!

I crafted all weekend. Part of the big correspondent issues that are on all the lists are critical fails. We started an experiment this weekend where we attached scripts to all the correspondents and we're crafting, crafting, crafting so we can find out the percentage of critical fails and other sorts of internal diagnostics.

I discovered I love to craft

Props to SWG's crafting system. It's actually fun and engaging (to me anyways) compared to other games...

Hi all,

Since it is my first post, I will tell I m glad to play this game, even if I got some "social" issues because of it .

I have 2 request/question in mind:

First as a noob that started this month, I like to browse forum and see what is going on. But inhere I didn't find any search function so that I don't ask something already answer. Does it exist or is it planned to have a search in the SWG forums?

Second and last is about the politician, I heard a rumor that as I started late, I could get that as a "Holo" profession. Is this true ? Ialso heardthe system will be revamped, but I would just like to know the fact and not listen to rumors. I wouldn't mind to do politician, but I heard it is now nearly impossible due to overcrowded planetes.

Thanks for your time and consideration !

Have a nice day.

For example, if a Smuggler can perform some sort of scan-fooling buff on a person, allowing them to pass through one shuttleport wait period unscanned. For the people with high ranks and expensive gear, this would be comparable to paying item insurance before combat. Other ways to provide guaranteed safe passage include bribery (for non-Rebels), pulling rank (for high-ranked Imperials), hiding things in backpacks as opposed to main inventory, etc.

Oh, I really like that one - overt high-ranking imperials will never be scanned, but coverts would have the option of pulling rank in exchange for a TEF.
