Thunderheart - These "themed publishes", are they to be absolutely limited to a certain theme or is there the possibility that say a profession revamp other then DE and Droids in general will / can / might get addresed during one of the "Droid Invasion" themed publishes?

It seems like that is possible to me anyway based on the chef revamp being part of the "Crackdown" theme publish, but it almost seems like your sticking to just the droid stuff for these two....

Can you clear that up for us all?

Thanks!

Please do something about the apprentice point system.

I agree. The apprentice point system is just a huge annoying task now. I fully understand the original idea behind it, but I think we just needto go to a regular xp requirement for master boxes now or some other creative method. When I need apprentice points this is what I have to do, errr, spam...

"Teaching xxx, xxx, xxx and xxx. Paying 10k for each skill I teach you!"

I'm pretty sure thisgoes against theoriginal spirit of Apprenticepoints. SWG has changed since the idea of apprentice xp was put in and I think its time to update it. The main problem is that the game has gotten to the point where most people have:

1) Used all our skill points. (Don't need/can't afford other skills taught to us)

2) Have enough money. (Learning from NPC is easier and cost is meaningless)

3) Have mastered one or more elite professions. (Hard to find people who need the skills you have to offer)

All these factors contribute to a huge lack of people needing skills taught to them compared to the number of people who need Apprentice points. Its much easier for me to go and just train the skills I need at an NPC trainer. The cost is nothing to me now. Its infinitely easier to do that than look for someone who happens to be teaching Merchant. Also the people who have Scout and Marksman are competing with all the other hundred people needing AP.

I'd look at it in the same way we look at the camp requirements for pulling out vehicles, mounts and pets. It just needs to be changed now.

i would like to see either more lots added per person, or the lot requirement for houses reduced, i have a large house and 2 small houses and thats all im allowed, small houses should be at most 1 lot, large houses at most 4, and medium houses 3, also the max amount of stuff in a house id like to see raised as well, small house raised from 150 to 200, medium house 200 to 250 and large house 250 to 300, also while still on the house idea, id like a feature that allows a person to pay a small fee and be able to re-deed tehre house, while keepin everythin in the same spot it was before the re-deed happened, for people who decorate their houses and then decide to move, it would be nice to be able to have everything stay in the same spot

I have a suggestion for the image designer role... These guys really don't have much that they can do that makes them important or vital to the game. I suggest that SWG implements the image designer in a new way. When people go "overt" they should have to either wait an exorbant amount of time spanning many hours to go "covert" or they should be able to go to an image designer who could change their image. This change of image would allow the character to become covert since he would not readily be recognized by his foes on the opposing faction. It would kind of be a diguise thing that would give the image designer a purpose and income.

Are there any plans in the works to make Architect's able to customize furniture and housing? Once you hit Master it becomes pretty monotonous when we can only make the same thing for every item.

Also I think it would be more interesting if individual players could set up gardens as opposed to only the elected official of a town. Especially when your house isn't located with in a Player City.

Tailor Additions.

-belts with holsters, like Han Solo's belt. Pistols can be placed in the belt and can be removed, like a wearable container but for one pistol only and the animation of the pistol in the holster shows up on the character.

-Sword Sheiths. Same concept as mentioned above.

-Cloaks. Yes they are in the game but this cloak would allow thehoodto beover your head.

-Capes and glasses. Capes are spoken. I would like to see glasses in the game( not those that were given in the collectors edition). I'm talking along the line of glasses you get from the eye doctor or sunglasses. It would be also cool to see some glasses give stat modifiers to ranged weapon classes. And the frames and lens be able to be colored.

Weaponsmith additions

-MORE WEAPONS. want to see a wide variety of weapons of all types.

ArmorSmith

- I'd like to see more types of armor in the game, since Composite outclasses almost all the armor in game, it would be good to see other types that are equal to the stats of composite.

Creatures

- I know this may see like a pipedream but i would like to be able to ride my GSP, that would be a great pet to have for travel because of its great speed. The animation of the mount equipment on the creature would be different from that on the mountable creatures now in the sense that only a saddle or whatever its called is on the back and nothing is obstructing the face.

Droids

- any of the astromech droids have the ability to slice megaseal containers or locked doors. Its always a pain to succeed in conquering a cave and not being able to recieve your prize because of containers always being lock and not having smuggler skills to open it.

Faction Perks

-Imperial. Like to see new armor implamented into buyable armor with fp such as Scout, At-At, Tie figter uniforms, and some different coloredimperial officer uniforms. Also when you use your fp to go higher in rank you get a bar that will display on the officer uniform.

-Rebel. I'm not sure as to what could be seen here. I'm thinking since fighter flight suits are the same as an A-wing/b-wing/x-wing/y-wing uniform that it would be redundant to put in in as faction armor. I would think that the rebel pilot helmets would be a good addition to the game along with the box that goes over the flight suit.

This is some of the things that i would like to be implimented into upcoming patches. I'd like to get some of your feedback as to what you think. Thanks

This is actually a re-paste of a thread in the Architect forum. Sadly I don't see an artis-specific thread in this forum so I figured here would be a good place. Anyhow; this one goes out to the Architects but is something MANY classes could benefit from-

Idea:What if Architects could create data terminals that could be customized to display actual data (text) set by the owner (or Admin) of a home/shop/etc.

I am, by normal trade, a Bounty Hunter, so this idea actually came to me from that aspect of the game dealing with keeping trophies of those we have sought to bring down. If you care to read that thread, head here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bounty_hunter&message.id=162961

In obtaining said trophies, I thought it would be interesting if there we a way to tell the story of how that person was captured... or why... I envisioned this idea of walking into someone's PA hall or home and seeing this carbonite statue of a captured bounty, and then directly in front of them, a data terminal that could be Examined to read more about it.

"Reeb Sailoti, accused of Grand Treason against the Empire, was captured on xx-xx-xxxx and brought to justice for selling Imperial installation data to the Rebellion."

Going further-

+ Imagine walking into a Chef's personal cafe and reading a data terminal that includes a Menu or Daily Specials.

+ Imagine walking into an Image Designers parlor and reading a data terminal explaining the different available augments and rate of charge?

The interface could really be as simple-yet-powerful as it is here on the forums... just one big "message" box that perhaps allows simple format options (underlining, bold, etc). Heck you could work in merchant exp. Say a base info terminal has a max length of.. 500 characters, and is limited to bold and underline features. As you travel up the Merchant advertising line, you canunlock moreoptions (color, longer max length, etc). Now you have data terminals that can range from simple (for non artisains, simply to convey a short story or message) to advanced (full color chef menu with pricing, buff statistics, etc).

And yes, this would exaclty be aimed at what people are forced to do now, which override their home signs, create "dummy" items, or cram their Bios full of information. Instead you have nice, clean terminals that people can choose to read if they wish.

Thoughts?

Set it up as a form of entertainer, with mind healing attributes. Have npc athlectic events like PvP combat at Jabba's palace, or races on any planet. Creature fights at new buildings: Arenas. Place them in major cities on each world, with the more dangerous opponets on the worlds like Lok and Tatooine where the crime syndicates rule.

Needs more thought, I know. That's why I'm posting ithere.

Hey Devs here is a good idea...

How about implementing NPC's in cantinas where players can pay inflated prices for immediate transportation. Instead of paying 750 to fly to Naboo and wait for a shuttle, we could pay 6000 to leave as soon as payment is made to theNPC.

Shuttles! We want better, faster service.

Make them land and stay for 5 minutes, then take off and leave for just 5 minutes, then back for 5 minutes, etc.

These constant 10 minute waits are just more aggravation than it is worth.

My biggest issue is with the buildings, or the lack of them. The market is way too small for it to be profitable for architects. Since all the houses are the same everyone knows that a large house equals ~ 100k and medium ~ 60k so the prices get lower and lower as people undercut the market. The lack of creativity in the profession leads to a lack of profit. There either needs to be WAY more player buildings or we need to be able to design them ourselves.
