This is entertainment, folks.. if it ain't entertaining.. why are you doing it? It's certainly not something to burst a blood vessel over.
No insults. It's more than entertainment. It's a service.A PAID FOR service. When someone is giving you something for free and they completely screw it up, you cut them slack. When you're paying for it there's a responsibility for them to provide what was agreed upon. Alot of us have been paying our monthly fee because we were under the impression that it was going in part to fund the development of the combat balance. That's what we were told. By being told that, it became the service agreement.
Now that we found out they weren't working on it, we are sort of feeling used and ripped off. We paid for something that wasn't delivered. That's what's got people upset. It's not fun to be lied to and strung on this long anyway, but when it's over something you've paid for, and by someone you've hired to provide it, it's worse.
I think the service we are paying for id them to design JtL. I haven't bought JtL yet, so I don't feel that my money should be paid for something I don't have access to. Who funded the Devs when they were designing the game??? If you are taking the Devs from the core game and putting them to JtL while still paying them my money STOP IT RIGHT NOW and hire devs to work soley on JtL and keep the devs that are fixxing the game I am paying you for.
I may not by JtL when it is first released so I won't have any of the crap that is broken yet, don't make me pay for something that I don't have access to, and if the Beta is off of our current accounts, then I hope they give everyone th option to log onto it since it is another thing that we are paying for.

I'm trying to point out that people are just taking it a *tad* too seriously. I've seen posts in this thread that are just mind-boggling in their fury. This is entertainment, folks.. if it ain't entertaining.. why are you doing it? It's certainly not something to burst a blood vessel over.
Maybe the problem is that screaming at TH and the Devs about the GCW is the closest this has ever come or will ever come to being a 'Galactic Civil War'. Currently I am enjoying myselfchewing out the Devs a whole lot more that I was the last few months logging into the game.

.........Enlighten me. How are these major schedual changes going to make SWG the finest MMORPG ever?
It's quite obvious that your expectations are unrealistic. It's like you think the state of the game is something to be proud of.
It's NOT, maybe you're an optimist? But still, you have to understand that this game is falling apart at the seams, and repeated delays of
the combat/gcw balance is that reason.
Yeah, at this rate, SWG might be the most overrated MMO in history, but not the best.
Seeya ! SWG has been the most disappointing gaming experience EVER.

Thunderheart can you please respond to these questions:
- Can the development team please provide the community with a valid reason for pushing back the combat revamp?
The most important reasons are:
- I understand that there are many people against having Jedi in the game, but it is part of the game. En masse, the community was adamant that we change the holocron/professions system and that time is now. Given the effort that went in to publish 9, we needed to clear the schedule and make room for publish 10 to do a better job on it. The Jedi system needed to be changed because it was effecting everyone. That is why it had the shceudling priority that it has.
- The Combat Balance is a huge publish and will have as much code in it as a console game. Its huge. We need the expertise and the manpower to do it correctly.
With all due respect, why release a expansion pack before fixing problems already existing within the game?
I would start with "With all due respect", but you used it =P, soin short and with respect, this isn't "just an expansion". This is Space. Space is something that everyone wanted at launch and Space is needed to create the Star Wars experience.
The other side of that is that JTL has been in production since January. We can't delaysix and half months of work for something that really makes Star Wars what it is.
Assuming theexpansion will have a few problems, wouldn't that just create alarger backlog for you guys, and take time away from other problems?
Those integration problems are being accounted for and that's why we needed more scheduling time. Publish 10 and taking the extra time to make integration with the ground game smoother is the time from the schedule that was needed. All in all, they were very difficult decisions to make.
LOL! Where the hell is the cancel button. Space is more important then the 32 broken professions? I don't think so stupid.
