Since AT-STs are so useless, way not lower the faction points required to get them. That would help those of us Imperials that would like to use them, but don't dare since this game is unbalanced Rebel vs. Imperial

Or.....how about letting us buy AT-ATs huh? No Ewok could take on of those. And it SHOULD give the rebels a run for there money. Just so long as there price is not 100k faction points, and 55k hams

I think AT-ST is a bigtime joke now.....Can i have my FP back pls? Being a wookie I spent a hell of alot of time to get 1 and for what? bring it out it gets killed might as well hire a noob to tank would be much cheaper and prob last longer. I think somebody needs to think or hire a 3rd party to think before something is changed. AT-ST is noting more than something to get a higher mission period. I would gladly trade it in to get my faction back especially since non humans have to pay dbl /sigh still think wookies should get something other than a +10 taming bonus ...does peeps alot of good if they aren't CH lol

I just have 2 questions

How is does this help the non elite Ranger profession ? Are suposed to be the Elite Creature hunters but are nothing more than a low level harvester. Every Combat class can kill any creature with better effectiveness than a Ranger. If weare not going to be the Elite PvE Creature hunters we were ment to be. Please give us something to PvP with

Why it that Imperials have a faction pet and Rebels do not ? Troopers are avaliable to both Imperials and Rebels and do not qualifiy as a faction pet for the purpose of my question.

Yup, any new player coming into game needs to know, DONT WASTE FP's FOR THIS WORTHLESS PET.. The Current ATST is nothing more than a drunken tard on wo legs.. utterly worthless, and could not defend itself against a nuna if it had too...

Hi,


a rebalace is good when it balance somthing... but now it doesn't seems balancing. I would like devs just think on next issues:


- the AT-ST is not droid , is like a tank - tell me you can kill a tank with a flamethrower ? I would say not in a million years. If you stick the flamethrower inside the hatch - yes you can kill the crew but not damage the tank to death. So because the AT-ST is a tank with 2 ppl inside, you can revamp it and put another bar for ppl inside and those can take the fire dot, then if they die, incap it, and buy 2 drivers and make it walk again


- rebels complain they don't have a pet as strong as AT-ST, but i ask you, you saw the movie i am sure, but you ever thought about the CGW balance ? The rebs are like guerilla fighters in real life. Tell me how many of them have tanks ??? Always the govenment have the firepower on their side. You are saying if a player takes out the AT-ST he kills 2 or 3 rebs in PvP. Tell me, you don't consider is normal ? Just imagine yourself with 2 or 3 friends with kalashnikov in hands in front of a Abraham tank... AT-ST is earn VERY hard by high grade imperials, so i would say is normal you cannot kill so fast a captain or colonel in imperial army like a corporal... Also if they are so unhappy about the AT-ST i will propose to give to rebels droidekas (they found a big depot of spares droidekas from Commercial Guils wars...)


- you say is unfair to use it in PvE because is tool for war and is not worthing to use it on animals ? i will like to remind you that an AT-ST is apropiate for veterans and high grade stuff in imperial army... Unless you are Darth Vader you will tell to a colonel in imperial army he isn't allowed to use it for his own pouposes ? A good perk for colonel will be to be alowed to use his AT-ST in PvE too... Till now NO reward for advancing to high grades in imperial army... you kill hundreads of generals and marshalls for 10-14 FP and you rank to colonel not to be able even to commmand more stormies...


- maybe is a good ideea to wait the whole GCW revamp system before changing the AT-ST... for now you make only unhappy ppl, for a secondary thing i can say... Make it vehicle for 2 ppl (one driver, one shooter) or at least driven by NPC, make it reapairable (is VERY normal, is piece of metal - it can be repaired), make a grade request for it, colonel or at least captain, make it knockdownable when fire rockets in it or at least delayed... this way you can rebalance very good.


- Also pleeease make the speeders (X34 and AV21) able to carry 2 ppl - i don't think is SO hard to implent it devs... and quite natural for game play...

I also think that ANYONE including CHs having out 3 AT STs is uncalled for. I mean they arent even creatures.. they are vehicles with pilots....


It always struck me as odd that they are so available as pets.


I think they should be something you have to pilot and they should do less damage.


Maybe Im wierd though....



But hey... at least on my server all the Imps are getting Jedi slots with the aid of their AT STs. I guess that cuts down thier numbers....


Aww well, I lll leave this alone for a while, as I tend to get upset when talking about unfair game play, especially with so many people crying about how unfair it is to balance thier overpowered when that pet really shoudnt be a pet anyway, lol.



Oh! Can I have a pet X Wing? Just wondered.. wait.. it might be unfair cause it can fly... nevermind.

All I can say about a 1 pet limitspells out"Goodbye Droids". I just can't imagine what everyone's one pet is going to be...


This is a ludicrous change!


Get droids and factional pets out of the creature handling system and into their own independent systems. It is sad to see that this game's engines are based on a system that is not instrumental to the Star Wars universe. Not once in the movies were creatures used as more than mounts or beasts of burden. There is no way the handler of the Rancor was going to play with his pet or take him out to hunt! Creature Handlers should be providing the galaxy with beasts of burden, not acting as the only class that can solo everything on the planet. Balance that!


On the flip side, why are creatures on the "civilized" planets so unbelievably powerful? Endor and it's relatives should be the hunting party worlds. Non-Master fighters shouldn't need to group to go check harvesters on civilized worlds. Please reduce the power or at least the frequency of auto-agro and quick kill creatures!


Also, how can it be thought that a player with a combat droid (LOL! I mean a probot) and a lvl 15 pet is too powerful when they have to group with three or more other players with similar pets just to take down Sharnuff bulls on Dantooine? With this "balancing" in place we'll need a MCH with three awesome pets out just to be able to continue to do these missions!


Thepet system needs an overhaul! Datapad storage of breathing living things and chunks of metal is ridiculous...the datapad should be a way to communicate with droids that are remote and proof of ownership for pets. Not storage!


1) Pets (Creatures,droids, mounts, vehicles)should be out in the world at all times, with their masters unless ordered to stay or dropped off at a "storage" point.


2) Creatures and mounts should not cancel each other. A Mount should be a vehicle and not considered a creature. It should not join in fighting as it is too tame for that....just like all droids other than DZ70 and Probot are currently. Why should a CH be the only person to ride some mounts? Is anyone willing to claim that the storm troopers in Episode IV were creature handlers that rode the dewbacks? Give me a break!


3) Pets should be storable at buildings that players have admin access to and "stables" at towns. (At a cost for maintaining the health of the creatures) With this part implemented anyone can keep any number of creatures, droids, or vehicles as long as it can be stored in the house. Now you could display a droid or pet without it having to be a pre-tamed BE pet or a specific droid chassis. Wouldn't it be nice to have an MSE wandering around the house?


4) Many towns should have violent creature ordinances that warp violent pets into a holding pen until the player leaves the town, then the pet is returned to the players side. The proof of ownership would remain in the datapad. Towns should also be able to have mount and even vehicle ordinances that would do the same for mounts or vehicles.


5) All pets, except droids, should always remain outside buildings. Droids should remain outside of buildings that have droid detectors.... creatures could only be specifically invited into buildings that the player has admin access to.


6) Players should still be limited the number of creature they can pull from a storage at any given time based on creature handling limits.


7) Players should *not* be limited on the number of droids they can have with them, but understandably should be capped on a number of combat droids.The huge cost of batteries would be one engine to prevent people from hording a ton of droids with them, and understandably there would have to be a frame rate consideration cap placed on number of non-combat droids tagging along with a player. As nice as unlimited would seem, three to four maximum would be reasonable. One combat, a translator, a repair or powerdroid, and a profession specific droid (craft/slice/medic).


8) Droids should not be able to move when their battery is dead.


9) Players should not have to replace a battery more than once a RL day, perhaps enabling charge stacking to make this possible? Obviously one RL day is many in-game days, but combat droids losing a charge within 15 - 60 RL minutes is ridiculous.


10) When a player goes off game, any pet, droid or vehicle with them (not stored in a house - on display or the like)should go off game when they do, but return to the game when the player does. Perhaps vehicles and mounts could stay in the game as "scenery", non-targetable objects for other players or NPCs, to add a touch of realism that a player issomewhere nearby doing something...but frame rate-wise this may not be desireable. The bottom line to this is that there is no good argument why a person, after playing for 8+ hours, deciding to ride out 2000m+ to check their harvesters should have to ride all the way back to civilization before logging for the night. When you return to the game your "equipment" should return with you....if you survived the 3 minute log period.


I have a more detailed plan that I submitted a while back on the suggestion form. I will find it and post it if anyone is interested in an idea, that in my opinion, would make the game feel more like Star Wars instead of sorceror's datapad.
