Indeed it was faster to hologrind and it was stated as such by the devs even beforepub 9 if I remember correctly.

However what you fail to see is that in this current system you are always at Master level so you gain exp faster.

Do I like the current system? If I had to do the quests and the grind probably not. Is it better than the previous one? Two things are very much in favour of the new system. First, the fact that you are Master at all your grinding career (it is a career right? ).Second, you can keep your prefered profession and not having to change all the way to jedi padawan. As for the non-combat classes, I feel for them but lets face it: jedi is all about combat!

(btw, +20mil resources for crafters to train a full branch??!?!? that has to change VERY soon)

Ive noted this before, but its worth repeating. We are closing in on two weeks since the release of pub 10, the new grind. Many many questions, bugs, issues have been raised. Many pleas for help and guideance have been requested from the Devs in this thread. As we close in on 1,000 posts not a word has been posted by the Devs. A Friday feature responding to our questions would have been highly welcomed. Instead we get more screen from JTL and another weekend spent mindlessly grinding away with out answers or guideance. I work in a service profession and if I treated my clients this way I would be looking for a new job in a very short period of time.

What does it take to get an answer? Why wont a Dev respond to any of the many legitimate questions? I continue to shake my head in disgust and my finger is getting ever closer to pressing the cancel button with each day that goes by with out answers.

When I die I want to go like my Grandfather, quiet and peacefully in my sleep. Not like the passengers, screaming and yelling in his car!

the devs cant really respond to so much negative feedback, someone contact the guniess book of records for most negative posts aimed at a small group of "eejits" (devs).

I went to Aurilia to get the Persuasion Quest. I am MCH/Mpike with someTKA When I went to Silvarra to get the Quest to unlock the persuasion branch, she told me I had to be a Master Medic to do the quest. Why do I seemingly have to nerf my chosen professions, master a new one to get a quest to open a branch that has nothing to do with the new profession I just mastered? I beleive that she is the same NPC I will have to talk to open the Luck branch. Luck and Persuasion have what to do with being a Master Medic? Is there someone else I can go to to open these branches without being a Master Medic?

Absolutely agree. This is nota 'new' system. This is a new grind. I can choose the xp I wish to grind, but I have to grind that much?

Ridiculous. If the xp needed was perhaps 1/12 of what it is or there was no xp that you had to grind, I'd be SO much happier. SOE- you gave us a new lair. You said you were gonna give us a new system. Fix it or have all but the most hardcore players gone in 3-6 months after the release of JTL. This is simple economics. Fix the system, and the majority of people will stay on for another year. Leave it as is, and you have no customers.

Btw, your CSRs and their auto-responses like 'check the forums'is not gonna score you any points.

I would like to say to all you fanbois out there that some of us want to reach what is considered the "holy grail" of SWG and become a Jedi and try something new. Alot of us have tried everything else and that is our last goal to attain. Now that said fanbois SHUT UP. We are allowed to complain it is our right to do so since first we were cheated when the added the extra silent holos without notice and second this publish has been nothing more than a further slap in the face that only increases the grinding. It has gotten so bad that you can't find a vendor anywhere selling anything worth while the game economy is at an all time low due to everyone grinding. This release has dropped SWG into one of the all time most hated games. Anarchy Online isn't even this hated. The fact that people that are currently Jedi are enjoying the rewards of it while the rest of us who were not so lucky continue to get screwed by SOE does not make things any better. I personally agree with all those cancelling accounts why waste the time paying anymore when everytime you feel close toy your goal they just put another hoop for you to jump thru. I would have rather seen the permadeath and blue glowy thing happen than this doubled grinding effort. Use the original idea to control the Jedi instead of trying to keep people hanging on by a thread hoping that one day before you get old and die you might become a jedi. This game has lost it's flavor and honestly I think my 3 accounts and pre-ordered JTL is over. I cannot see sinking anymore money into a game where they will never let you reach a goal. Trust me after a few people get jedi thru this new system they will again change it to make it even harder so why keep going after the bait they throw in front of you. Honestly one of the marketing ploy on the box was the temptation of people actually being able to play Jedi but what they did not mention is that it will happen only after they have taken years worth of subscrition fees and have not provided customer support. Personally I think this game should be boycotted on 1. false advertising. and 2. Lack of customer support. I would love to see people standing in front of stores selling JTL to have little picket signs letting consumers know what this company is really about. Then again that is jsut a crazy notion and chances of anyone taking it seriously are about as far fetched as anyone working on the current publish actually expecting to be a jedi this year.

i agree with ur false advertising sttement but i know some ppl who will get jedi withinn the next 6 weeks if u have 2 seperate master professions u can unlock 2 seperate branches a phase ans i know allot of ppol got at least 2 branches free so it should only take them 2 phases and sure the xp is steep but this is to keep jedi rare for now since they are still uber to tell u the truth if the devs made it easy for simple 1-2 players a day to get jedi the econmy would be ruined even faster if u want jedi u gotta work for it im not a faanboy at all but ist dissipointing to see pepole cry just because there not willing to put in the work to get it and the reason they cant make jedi easy to get is cause you are right it is the only thing left to do not after 6 months of playing this game ist the only thing left to do aftr about 3 weeks if there were other intresting things in this game we wouldnt have 3 publishes just for jedi.

ps. protest on bria? how the hell can u protest something that u can choose not to do? people protest because something that they have little control over is making their lives harder not because entertainment is not entertaining anymore. and if u wanna protes dont do it on bria is tthe ultimate newb server go to ahzai or something.
