I have killed about 70 NS of all types and 100 Tuskens of all types as well. Nothing.
The funny thing is that it took me hours and hours to kill that many. And do you know why?
BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS TO CAMP THOSE PLACES TO GET CRYSTALS!!!
30 peopel in a place that spawns 20 mobs? Come on! Make a quest based crystal requisition system!
Also, your just encouraginggriefing. I been griefed a few times too! If crystals only spawn on certain mobs. And those mobs are only in certain places... PvP Griefers will come from all over the galaxy just so that they can get their pot shots at a jedi! Ooh, ahh a Jedi... Lets see if we can kill him/her guys!

Raz/Annoka, in Live this would be spawn camping, because there you are playing the game. This is a Test, where the devs set things up and players try to break them. It's not spawncamping, its' testing.
At the moment one of the things that they seem to be trying to find out is how whatever formula they have implemented to govern drop rates is actually translating into crystals retrieved by players.
The fact that some players are able to go off on a killfest (with no long term damage to their characters as the will be wiped at the end of the Test if not several times before that) speaks to the dedication of a happy band of psychos(1) whose relentless slaughter and mayhem will generate the numbers the dev's need to see what need fixing and how their fixing affects other aspects of the game.
Just keep saying to yourself, it's a test, its not for real, so what if am broke, my robes are down to 0% fnctionality and I can't kill for squat, it's all going to change again soon.
(1) and I mean that in a happy, constructive, positive way.

Cleared the Canyon Corsair POI twice, end to end (approximately 20 mobs?). Zero crystals.
(edit: 20 mobs per clearing or so)

Three hours of nonstop Tuskens one robe ,one bandolier,one pair of gloves,two gaffi sticks,some credits .It seems that the higher level tuskens only have credits and the lower ones loot if you can call it that.Gave it all away hehe like they get to keep it. No one else there got a crystal there either while I was there.must have killed 200+ Tuskens solo. You need to fix this very soon if in live crystal will be borking the economy just as pearls did earlier.You have been warned. Lost in the grind on live.

I have Jedi luck IV and hardly ever loot any items, let alone any damned crystals. I get credits the vast majority of times. Looting items for me is so rare I almost jump out of my seat when I get the "You've looted all Items" message, and then get disappointed by the crap I've gotten.

Looted a "Premium" Pearl from a Giant Canyone Krayt dragon.
min/max is 35
speed is 0.22
ham costs are something like -7/-5/-7
Force Cost is -3
The only thing "Premium" about it is the damage is ok....the Force Cost isn't anywhere close to Premium. I was disappointed.

Don't want to be mean, but what drop rate? Nothing drops... Killed about 50 nightsisters of varying types, nothing. about 30 tuskans, nothing... also, from the way all fights at tc2 are going, I can tell nobody has a crystal that significantly improves damage...

Best one I have looted so far.

Just passed 50 Nightsister Rangers. 0 crystals.
Though, I have 2 Nightsister Lances now. Sweet. Pity this aint live!

Whats the difference.. This weekend I killed over 150 Night sister NPCs and got 5 lances and no crystals. I don't see any difference, which is the problem me thinks

I killed 6 Tusken Elite Guards and got a Dark Red color crystal
