HOLY
THIS:
A findFriend command has been added. findFriend will only work when the player you are trying to find has you on their friend's list. It will create or update a 'friend' waypoint to a friend's current location
Is complete, utter, horse patooey.
As of today, my friends list is empty. The LEAST you could have done was send the user a message "friend A wants to find you, will you allow them to know your location?"
I'm completely blown away by this change.. what the HECK were you thinking?!!!?

I really dislike the purple text of my fellow faction members... It is very hard to read when there are a bunch of them together.. I was in MO this morning on Dantooine running a solo group and some guy sent me a tell asking me to invite him... and for some reason the /target name was not working.. he was in the buff line about 20 meters from me and i could not see his name because of all the other faction members around him.. i had to target them one by one to finally fall on him and invite him...
I think the colors are too light, they should be a bit darker... and uhh i cant turn my settings to darker or i wont see anything at night except that little tiny circle around my toon with the personal light..
This thought might not be as bad when at a place where the ambient light is darker as lets say dathomir.. But on dantooine in MO while the sun is shining... it just hurts my eyes

I was unable to find a Pub 10 Feedback thread that directly referenced the new /findfriend feature. As this seems closest to a GUI modification, I am posting in this thread.
In short, this feature has resulted in my eliminating 90% of the people from my friend's list. It is a HUGE invasion of privacy. I am something of a 'public' figure on Eclipse -- I do a lot of buffing and am constantly pestered for 'where are you? are you buffing?'. This this new 'feature' I can no-longer go do something on my own in peace and quiet as people will still magically show up.
Many people complained about this feature's implementation when it hit TC and yet it has still gone live. As a result, the friends list has become useless to me. Using mutual inclusion in the friends list is an insufficient way to determine /findfriend authorization. Another checkbox needs to be added to each person in the friends list, much like the 'System message on online/offline' checkbox. This new checkbox would be the 'allow friend to /findfriend you' option.
Until something is done about this, the friends list is no-longer a viable feature for me in this game any more...
Very unhappy...

why in the world would you guys NERF smugglers?
I used to click Slice from the menu and the game would take all the requirements from the crates automaticly, Now you have to take one from the crate each time you slice
what was wrong with it?
Over all everything else looks GREAT! ty

TH,
First time I can really say I'm disappointed. I've seen some pretty scary things transfer from TC to Live, and I cannot for the life of me believe you let the font changes go through. I honestly don't care if it saves you even 90% of your database overhead, it is -not- the way to go about it. This is horrible, and I'm at a loss of words on how to emphasize this.
It's nearly impossible to see titles of vendors and players in certain situations, and trying to see titles for more than 5 minutes now gives most players a headache. This is unacceptable, and even more so is the fact that it's not even mentioned in the GUI update (along with an explanation of why it was implemented).
I thought it might have been a bug, but apparently from the comments so far you've known about it since the publish hit TC. The fact this was approved and passed to Live means either A) The Devs who wrote this are color-blind and should not be working with the code of graphic games or B) You really have no concern for the player's health or enjoyment of the game. Many will quickly point to the second answer, but I've always tried to keep an open mind.
TH, please at least respond with an answer on why this was implemented. If it's a bug, hotfix it asap. If it is not... As insignificant as it may seem, you will notice a lot more account cancellations. This time it won't even be because players don't like the direction of the game, it will be because they're not willing to develop a headache each time they play. At the very least, an option should be provided for a player to switch back to the old settings. Maybe a few individuals won't, and you'll save a bit of database usage. But I repeat, this is NOT the way to go about improving performance.
Signed,
V'Tal Fion.

i love the new resourse red/yellow/green system, with the bars next to the ingredients, makes life so much easier. I dont like the fact you didnt have a solution to ppl who for whatever reason cannot have a vendor. For example why carnt ppl with no merchant skill rent a space and vendor off a merchant, where the contents sales go into the produce owner pockets and special fees go towards the Merchants wealth, perhaps take a percentage off the sale (i hate the say the e word "ebay" style) this way the Merchant will be opening up new buisness for himself, while controlling a skill that is rightfully theres.

Feedback Request:
What do you think of the new GUI features?
Player names are hardly visible with light background
Camera Shake Toggle
never had problems with shaking
Crafting Inventory option
Great (and seems to be working)
Con(sider) circles on radar
Targets became too big on radar - not using it.
Is your XP updating
So far so good

Crafting enhancements: This is a great feature and works well.
XP: I didn't have problems so far/ last night
BUT: The find command is bugged since yesterday. If you are 50 meters away from the entertainer trainer for instance and do a /find you get the trainer in Tara city which is a player city over 2000 meters away from Mos eisley on Gorath, not the one you try to find. Happened also with Guildhall:Theater. /bug -ged it.
Trainer and titles of buildings don't show on the overhead map, but this might be toggled on and off? I haven't found the button/checkbox yet.
I can retrieve empty crates of resources from the harvesters. I did that per accident when I changed the rescource and marked the wrong one for retrival...(I don't know if this is an old issue). /bug -ed it.

SOME REALLY BIG PROBLEMS ON LOK
Server: Infinity
Planet: Lok
Text changes (object names and overhead map) NOT READABLE ON LOK
There have been some changes on the displaying of the text. Mostly Names over the head of NPCs, Bikes, other Players, also Names on the Overhead map. On Lok during day they are not readable in any way, i stood yesterday before 3 NPC Trainers during daytime on Lok and needed to click every trainer thru to see what he is training. Tried then to find a bank in a player city on Lok, was absolutely impossible no way to be able to read the text. The Same on my Speederbike which was before a little pinky due to faction, but is now just a glow of a color and has nothing to do with a readable text.

Personally i think the Call for the speeder is a great asset, i agree that this should be implemented to all mounts and droids to..
this way you can equip all from the toolbar.
I have to say that all the aditional info in the crafting screens is a GREAT asset!! Thanxz for that !!
BTW does anyone have additional ui interface commands that not show up when you type:// in the chat box??
Greetz,
Allistair Drett.
MDE and Prepairing for Shipwright!!!
Apex Hyperdyne Systems, Droidworks & Shipwright.
500meters out of Anchor Head, Tatooine, Farstar.
Serving all sides that can afford it!!!

It's been said before but I'll say it again..
Put back the missing text-shadows.
