TH can you please just take 5 minutes to clarify this for us, just let us know one way or the other if we are looking at hours, days or weeks. At least then we will know.

Two words: This sucks
So let's get this straight. Some people didn't hologrind. We chose to actually play professions instead of grinding them out and throwing them by the wayside. We've been the backbone of the game - the crafters keeping the grinders going, the PvP'ers keeping the dwindling flame of the GCW alive.
How are we repaid? We're **edit**ed, that's how.
I sucked it up when the hologrind system came out. Just like the devs, I thought it was detrimental to the game, and I wasn't going to participate (I could have unlocked months ago if I had wanted to). I sucked it up when an entire publish was directed to Jedi. I figured, hey, the next publish will be for the non-Jedi. Now I find out that I won't get access to that content until all of the hologrinders have chewed it up and spit it out.
So even before the hologrinders get started, that's over three months without new content for the people actually playing the game. Now, who knows - if it takes a week or two to get through each group, you're talking about four or five months without any new content.

If for some reason you miss being visited by the "Old Man", log out for 15 minutes and he will reappear. Otherwise, try traveling to a different Player City or Planet. Those methods all worked when I was testing it out on Test Center.

Thanx TH, you obviously ahve your work cut out for you with all the PMs im sure your getting as well as tying to keep up with the rest of these posts. On a positive note everything that Ive been able to test so far seems to be working. The /findfriend works awesome. No more vehicle warp. /check also seems to work. Good job so far.

Have to say im having a good laugh at work at this. Especially the people who actyually take vacation/ holiday days just for a game. Im sorry but its pretty amusing.

Obviously you're not going to answer anything here... but I'm gonna ask anyway....
My 4th Holo was Silent... I have now Mastered 23 Professions... theoretically I could still have 4 out of the 8 to go (since you changed from 5 Professions to 8 mid stream). Should I continue grinding for those last 4 professions... or what... since it's an "unknown" path now to get the visit?
How are we to know what group we're in??? I know... just play the game and when the visit comes... it comes... yeah right !
If the profession grind is ended... could you send each of us an E-Mail w/ the professions we still needed... just for informational purposes and a kick in the teeth??
I'm at work and couldn't wait to get home this afternoon to see if I was "glowing" - I've got 92 badges, including the Corvette, Warren, Hero, Reb Themepark, Jabba Themepark and Nyn's (did it pre-badge but still says in my sheet I need the badge?)... figured w/ 23 professions done also and ALL the Explore Badges I was a lock for the glow... but now... who knows??
One more disappointment... and I just pre-ordered 2 copies of JTL yesterday... what a fool

Don't forget that we STILL have to do all of the damn quests anyways if we want the new items, even if we unlock them with our "credit."

This is rediculous. Not TH's post, but the rest of you.
They listened to our(your) cries about not giving enough credit to the holo-grinders. They decided that holo-grinders (to some extent) would be given AUTOMATIC access to the village. However, not all holo-grinders would be giving IMMEDIATE access.
So, if you are a holo-grinder, rejoice! You have automatic access to the Village without ever having to do anything else. Granted, you will have to wait a bit.
Don't want to wait? Use the new system.

I UNLOCKED during patch9 , i have 101 badges , im glowy , ive been online for an hour now , no old man . TH , give me one reason not to cancel my subscription.

GEEEEZ!!!!!!
I've been standin around waitin for that old fart for 3 hours!
Now i find out i gotta wait like a month to even to into that stupid village...
(i didnt grind cause i'd rather wait for the revamp then run around like a robot)
