Thread: Publish 8 Mini Publish Testing Feedback: Image Designer Revamp
I wouldn't mind that either. Implants could be a pretty neat thing in the game. Arm implants to boost strength temporarily, stuff like that. But as long as they are going to stretch to give each profession a function, than this is something that could do IDs good. Docs already have their fortune they make on selling buffs. Maybe make it one of them there inter-dependent things. Image Designers make the implants and doctors install them. That isn't unreasonable. Afterall, smugglers still need AUKs from an armorsmith and WUKs from a weaponsmith to perform their only useful function.

was rather hoping the Doctor Profession would get a new specialty to become plastic surgeons for such things!
I wasn't fussed with this Image Designer revamp as the changes I been reading about I thought that it was ok and basically I like my look so it wasn't to bother me.
But that was after reading the news about Stats Migration.
So just joining in to voice my shock and disappointment with the stat migration thing. When I have got new weapons and Armour I've played with my stats to make up for it with small little tweaks here and there. If I've got to find an ID everytime to change it and pay for this experimentation it's going to be stupid. I have no problem with ID making the changes happen quickly but us not doing at all is just plain stupid.
Stat Migration: Image Designers now have the sole ability to migrate player stats faster than the previous default migration rates. The process will take 10 minutes and requires the Image Modification Booth located inside the ID tents. This functionality has been revoked from the general player base and now requires an Image Designer.

Thanks for saying I'm a waste of time. I take it you got your cookie from the Devs already.
But maybe the Devs should really put more time into rebalancing combat. Once the revamp is done, guys like youwill beout in the field all the time so I don't have to waste my time with you.. *shakes head*
LOL - try playing a Bounty Hunter since the start of this game and ask me again if I got my cookie. Last time I checked, we are in a GALACTIC CIVIL WAR. Hmmm.... You think that maybe, just maybe COMBAT changes might be important?
You want to RP an ID, more power to you. Have fun.
I still say that valuable and finite programming resources were wasted on this and I see little or no point.
Let me phrase this another way. I do not see people leaving the game because they can't get a good haircut.

Thunderheart wrotelayers can no longer do their own stat migration, please consult an Image Designer for pricing.
You guys just don't get it, do you? Let me spell it out for you: There are two ways of getting people to doing things, The Stick and The Carrot. You have to know when to use both properly. You guys seem to think that the only way to do something is to put out a carrot and then whack the players on the head with the stick. The stick creates resentment and anger. The carrot creates contentment and happiness.
There was NO REASON to use the stick here, instant stat migration was enough of a boon to make IDs valuable for many people.
It's like you guys just don't know how to NOT take things one step too far.
Hell yeah! Exactly right. I would gladly look up an ID and pay to get quick stat migration as I often move mine around on my many different characters to try different things. But if I can not find an ID when I need one I will absolutely hate not being able to do it the old fashioned slow way we have now.

I just wanna say that I have a Master Image Designer on Bria and Corbantis... I have always been one and I always will, I started this game in September and I was an Image Designer about a month after... I have NEVER charged for ANYTHING when I Image Designed anyone... NEVER.... there are very few ID's who do the same as I do... I know its real sad... Some charge tonz! I totally disagree with them... Even though ID is my main profession usually, besides Master Dancer... I still know that more people will want to charge, the people who never did charge... but I will never... so If ya'll need something done and you happen to play Bria, send a tell to Talina, I would never dream of charging you more than a "Thank you"!!
I do agree with most of you...... butthis isn't dumb or stupid, and they weren't smoking crack, they were probably thinking in the best interest of the ID's... I know that I have had just about nothing added for ID's in forever... it's always the Fighters and Healers and all those people... Entertainers, andmostly ID's, haven't gotten much of anything. It's time we did!! Thank you guys

Corbantis -- Tallina (Master Image Designer and Dancer)
Bria -- Talina (Master Image Designer)
Just curious how you make money if your main "profession" is ID and you give everything away for free? Not knocking you, if that's your thing, but charging a fair price for changes in Image isn't a bad thing.

i rather see tents where payers can go in change there looks at a price. not seek a prof that not many people play or use that often with the exception of a small few.
and only id can change your stat is even lamer.
as others pointed out have them where it changes fast but leave the old system of a day for a stat migrate that we can still change our selves.
I'm glad to see the ID's are finally getting some love. But to make them the only people who can migrate stats is ridiculous. But perhaps what is worse this change which will affect every player was not even brought up to the class of people the Devs plan on dumping this responsibility on. There really, really, needs to be some kind of forethought and communication before sweeping changes like this are made.,
Whenever we start a new profession, whether grinding or just to try something new, stat migration is necessary and involves repeated trial and error to get the combo that works best. Now in order to do that we have to try and find an available ID 6 or 7 times to try and get the right combo? Please, make it so they can do it faster, but leave us the old slow method.
