3things...

A) I pray that the Cu Pas are one of the mounts, because they are the closest to Tauntauns, of course, heh

B) Can current pets that players own become mounts (As long as they are one of the 6, of course), or will we have to get new pets with the mounting ability?

C) Thank you devs for possibly giving us 2 new, BIG features in a single update!

Here is the post, by Star_ranger, regarding the change on test center. He's a veryactive test center player and I've seen his comments on many of the patches and posting bugs/etc.I doubt you get offical word. I believe him. If you don't, how hard is it to create an artisan on test center and make a set of dice and create a schematic for it anyway?

If you did "read" the thread, you probably would have seen it. too bad most posters here think "read"ing a thread means skimming for a dev post. whichnine times out of ten doesn't have the info they want anyway.

Re: Mounts

Q-3PO,

Thanks for the news about mounts. I am glad to see that at least two of the Bio-Engineer creatures will be mountable.

My question is: will Bio-Engineers be able to experiment on the speed (or other mount-specific attributes)?

Sincepets for non-CH were introduced, Bio-Engineer creatures have been in clear disadvantage to tamed wild creatures (no BE creature can compete with Cowardly Gurrek,Mountain Krevol,Rock Beetle). This goes against your stated premise that in SWG craftables are superior than commonly-found loot.

We are still waiting for the cloning fixes that will supposedly correct this. I am hoping that with Mounts there will be a reason for people to seek Bio-Engineered mounts the very same day they are introduced in the game, not 3 months later and repeat thecurrent situation with non-CH pets.

Hmmm Kaadu's you say eh? Is it just me or aren't Kaadu's a bit small to be using as a mount? The first Wookie I see on a Kaadu I thinkI may die laughing. <giggle> I can barely keep a strait face now thinking about it now. So far all of these beasts that have been listed seem a little sissy, prissy or, downright dumpy to me. Can't you give us a few beasts like the Greater Sludge or a Grand Wrix to ride? However, regardless of what we have available to use as mounts.... I thank you, my feet thank you and, my Gurreck who keeps tripping over me thanks you. I look forward to riding off into the sunset soon!

Okay I see that TC has the 1000 uses on the slider now, well I guess I'll have to go with that. Hopefully it will continue that way. I would like to say either updating the notes or just answering that question in between vague answers about creature mounts would've sufficed for all of us instead of taking the time to call us highjackers when the thread was a general patch update thread. I guess I'll never get Community Member status now--oh well, live by the saber die by the saber.

Thanks for the link. I agree - it is doubtful we will get official word and, IMO, that is just sad. Again, I have to bring up the example of the hopper issue. Nowhere near as many people were complaining about that one - in fact it had its fair share of supporters - and yet there was a dev response in a matter of hours. Yes, we were told the schematic issue was bring investigated but that doesn't mean we should just let it go at that.

As for the post itself, I don't know Star_Ranger and I don't know you. Nothing I say is meant as a personal attack on you. I have heard rumor that the slider was changed on TC. This post is good evidence of that, but I would still like a dev response (again, that doesn't mean I expect one). In Q's post he took the time to bullet several items and respond to each. It looks like he also included a bullet for the people asking about schematics and took the time to write that he wasn't going to respond. Instead of taking that approach, he could have wrote something similar to what Star_Ranger did and ended the whole controversy for everyone. I am still bothered by what he did write because I do believe the question was relevant to this thread and was posted in a courteous manner. To participate on this board we have to be paying customers. As such, we deserve a certain level of respect and communication. Yes, the devs deserve respect as well, and I for one have not disrespected them at all ever. All I (and others) did was ask a question which affects the community as a whole and deserved a simple answer.

I am sorry I did not "see" Star_Rangers statement at the bottom of his message. I was "reading" for a dev response and, while "looking" at 5 pages of posts, must have "missed" it.

Wasn't taken as a personal attack... heh yeah I do use quotes a bit much at times don't I?

I agree that the question was within the thread topic, and not a hijack at all. When there is a separate post , by Ralph no less, asking what people's thoughts on this were, there should be a response other than "looking into it" (oops, quotes again :smileywink I should have said it was in Star_rangers post to begin with, I thought putting the text word for word would make it easier to find. Just assuming too much I guess. sorry 'bout that.

Hey Q as a way of giving badges for completed themeparks and multi-step quests, I have an idea.

You know when you complete a themepark (jabba in this example) and you try to converse with him, he'll tell you to come back later, explore, etc. Couldnt you just add a bit of code to give the badge when this conversation string is said? Like (i dont know code, this is just basic):

$ = conversation string of when jabba tells you you are done with the themepark

when $ is activated, give the dang badge.

This way all I would have to do is talk to jabba again, and bam i have my retroactive jabba badge. is this possible?

When, when will someone address the issue of trandoshans getting stuck in certain type of player houses? Pex, have you at least been able to repeat the bug? I can give all the details (again) if needed... but please, could someone actually fix this bug it is very annoying.
