BadKarma 777, correct me if Im wrong, but Im pretty sure BH'ers supposed to be an offensive class, note the very high mods to attack speed and Accurcy. Also of note is what amounts to x3 damage in pvp. Don't master and take some denfensive skills if that is more what your looking for. Really is a great system if you step back and play it how the devs inteneded, not try and force them to "fix" whats not broken.

I have not seen any mention of this lately. What is the status of redoing the Faction Perks and Pets? I have been involved in the GCW for a while now and will be even more now that the 1% decay will be gone. I like to Role Play, I am an Imperial Colonel, with the current faction pet system I have a coice of walking thru a city with either 1 Stormtrooper or 1 AT-ST. Which one would you chose?

I chose neither. I think I look stupid with either.

AT-ST's are for Combat, they do not follow one person arround for protection. So I refuse to walk arround with an AT-ST body gaurd.

Only having one Stormtrooper looks just as stupid, I am a Colonel in the Imperial Army and I only rate a 1 Stormtrooper escort/Bodygaurd?

To be honest it is more for the Roleplaying aspect than the actuall protection I am looking for. Atleast 2 Stormtroopers would be nice.

I still stand by the idea of making Rank determine the level of Faction Pets you can get and control at a time. The same way the Creature Handler is designed, except by Rank instead of Skill boxes giving the Mods for them.

I really hope this is on the table for redisign soon. Especially with the GCW fixing to heat up.

Here's the problem with stacking, as I see it.

Right now, you can pick and choose your skills and end up with somehting that you want to play. In fact, this is encouraged. There's an actual advantage to taking masteries in multiple combat profs as well as a few defensive lines.

If a Master TKA, Pistoleer, or Commando sees NO benefit in picking up other skill lines to bolster defense, then you're right, we'll soon see nothing but Elite Combat Prof w/ master doctor (or at at least medic).

What makes the most sense to me is to give great benefits at mastery, but to also let _more_ cross prof mods. Shouldn't a master Fencer / Swordsman me more accurate with a sword than just a master Fencer? Shouldn't a master Pikeman / TKA be able to strike harder than just a master Pikeman? With some real play testing and balancing, it should be fairly easy to balance a player choice of power vs. accuracy vs. defense.

I'm sorry, but there _should_ be a distinct advantage to learning more profs. The current system shows us a flaw in that the amount of Defense available to cross prof skills exceeds the accuracy available to mastery of a prof. Which is the only way to _get_ single weapon accuracy at the moment.

And im sorry, it was posted before, but:

Darth Maul > Qui Gon. Why? Because Darth Maul is _also_ a master of Teras Kasi.

Customizations: Wouldn't this be a good thing for IDs? I've never heard an architect complain about not enough things to sell but IDs are desperate for something to do. Stretching the concept of Image Designer past an avatar's looks is really vital to making that profession into something more sought after. A person's image is far more than their looks, perhaps giving them this kind of an interior designer power would be a start? I am aware there is disagreement about whether to add crafting to ID, but as long as you kept it optional where the crafting gave the same xp as IDs currently need...

Loot: Introduce all the rare drop and quest reward loot that you want, the main problem is everyday loot. Why are thugs still dropping broken items and CDEF weapons? Nobody wants them, they are cluttering up both the overall item database and the marketplace databases to no end. You can nerf melons as long as you want, but THIS is the way to solve many of your database problems and make players happier.

Creature Resources: These continue to be a major problem. Enough are not being gathered to keep up with demand. It is no coincidence that the lesser played crafting professions are the ones that have to rely on resources that cannot be gathered while off-line by a harvester.

Also:

TEF should be gone period.

Instead if you are covert and see a overt member of the opposing faction you can attack them, just like NPC's. Doing so imediatly makes you overt and other coverts can then attack you.

This would be more realistic, and it would alsohave a deterant for coverts to do it because then they are overt and can be attacked by any coverts that are arround. It will also help so that you do not have to run and declare just to help your fellow faction members who are being attacked. You have a choice right then to help or not.

If you are overt you are saying you want to PvP and therefore should not have a problem with a covert member of the opposing faction trying to take you out, knowing that if they do your friends arround you will be able to help if needed.

IMHO

Disappearing lairs...

I have repeatly gotten to a lair to destroy it and had it either disappear while en route or dissappear while attacking the spawn. This is very frustrating, time consuming, and I lose money on it.

I want to support the furniture coloring ideas mentionedin here I already name each and every item i sell in my vendor individually to give my clients a chance to get at least a kind of something different for their needs to express themselves (you wont find "small potted plants, style x" in my vendor, you'll get stuff like "Golden Sunrise" (Orchidea) from me ) and having a coloring option would be SO WONDERFUL for my creative soul

Why not give players a limited time to color their furniture (like it was possible with composite armor), will avoid them wishing to exchange furniture at their local architect, and after that keep that ability with the architects?

And i like to add a wish for more styles of plants - theres a lot of them for deco in starports and such, perhaps those could be added to the existing plants available (which are ONLY THREE !!!) ?

(uh - and how about make a tool that allows to place items high even in houses without stairs? /dream...)

Hey Thunderheart,

With the recent crackdown there have been a number of posts dealing with PvP, "Forced PvP", and other such things. What I want to know is:

Is it the developers vision that players who join a faction arethen declared as PvP, or is there a PvE path (within either faction) for those of us who wish to follow it?

-Hyssthi

I walk the path of the Jedi, the path of many professions (tm). It is not what I know that makes me who I am, it is what I have forgotten... and I've forgotten more than most.

Once again I am going to ask this question to TH:

Will there be any new music added in, and by music i dont mean for the entertainers, but for the game such as battle themes or an actual nice music while you are in town or exploring?

IMO, any and all combat changes made at this point (publish #6) are not well thought out.

We are not getting any extra compensation in the way of extra damage or defenses (no, the scythe does not make up for this) whatsoever, so all this does is reduce our damage output (and that of all other classes that rely on bleeds to get damage done) without anything to make up for it.

The developers should have waiteduntil the combat revamp (publish #8) to make ANY and ALL changes to combat. example: TKAs have no bleeds, so they do the exact same damage output, without getting touched by this patch. Therefore, they need to bring others damage output in line with TKAs NOW, and not wait till the combat revamp, because for 2 months (or however long it takes them) we will be doing reduced damage when compared to TKAs (and yes, TKAs are the benchmark for melee damage output).

If they had waited until the combat revamp to apply these changes, then we would probably be getting some compensation for it. Because they have not, we will be less effective in between publish6 and publish 8, while some professions (professions that do not rely on bleeds... aka, TKA) will have absolutly no change until then.

Even worse is the fact that MCMs don't get affected by this at all... poisons/diseases are combat DoTs, they should have the same effect applied to them.

My final opinion: The devs screwed up again by applying these changes now, and there will be nothing to make up for them for another 2 months, while certain professions do not feel the sting of this at all, and are unaffected, except when they happen to be fighting a swordsman, pikeman, commando, etc. It was ill-thought out...
