Let the votes prove me wrong....
If you are in FAVOR of reducing STARport wait times to 5 minutes... please FIVE star this post.
If you are AGAINST reducing STARport wait times to 5 minutes... please ONE star this post.
I think you'll find in the end that this post will have an average score in the 4-5 star range.
Thank you.
Nice post![]()
Five stars for you![]()
I like the armor hole fix.
Biggest impact on game play is the vehicle not auto-healing after those long waits at the shuttle and star ports I could have built several vehicles from the ground up and survey/sampled enough resources to do it again at the next shuttle/star port. LOL
Now I will just use several vehicles and rotate them so every once in awhile I can go to the garage and get all of them fixed at once.

Reduce starport times, period. It is NOT immersion to waste time in a game that I am PAYING for. It is NOT immersion to be insulted as one double-clicks a ticket several times only to then see the shuttle take off. It is NOT immersion to stand for a shuttle but warp to a new planet. The people have clearly spoken that burning time in a game that one only has a limited value is inappropriate. Remember, this is OUR product, not yours. As soon as you began selling it, we get to choose things.
Settle down Beavis! The starport 10 minute wait does not bother everyone so don't try to make it seem so. Now I think reducing the shuttles to 5 minutes is rather minor because they rarely get used anyway. I think the shuttles should be "no wait" and the starports remain at 10 minutes.
What I think would be a GREAT help would be to have the time posted for the shuttle and starport, perhaps on the "arrival/destination" board by the ticket booths. A live ticker to show you the wait time would be fantastic to the immersion and realism.
As it is, the next departure is secretly hidden to only those who have purchased a ticket to a destination already, making it a "premium members only" club. Or at the very least, have an announcement by the ticket taker that says the ship has arrived, and announce that it is about to leave. (of course that would be extra spatial spam, so I still think a vid-screen readout of the times would be much more appropriate)
So, in conclusion, I don't think it is the amount of time that is important, but more of the stealth of the arrivals and departures, along with the clickety-click-click spamming on the ticket taker to get him to take your ticket before they leave you behind.

I can agree with everyone else that has posted so far. STARPORT times should be changed. Most of the time, I don't use shuttles at all, just starports to planet hop. Now, the best absolute reason to change the STARPORT times is lag.
I'm from the Sunrunner server, and if you've ever played on this server, then you would know lag is a problem. Why is there so much lag? People going thru major cities and waiting at the Starport. The worst instance of this is inCoronet. At any given time of the day, you can probably see more than 50 people inside the starport landing area either waiting for a transport or loading in. How does this help? Well, if that many people can travel through that starport, and after about 5 minutes of waiting for the next transport it starts adding up. If the transports were only 5 minutes apart, the amount of lag would decrease as the people would be passing through the city faster.

... if he ain't waiting for a shuttle still.
10 minutes are a major pain.
5 minutes would have been just cool and even better for immersion than 10 minutes (at the max) though.
if i wanna talk to friends or ppl i've just met the first time i rather talk to them without the 'fear' to miss a shuttle and wait for another decaminute.
and if you DEVs insist on that frigging long time of waiting to have us listen to stupid spam or force us to communicate and get bothered by stomping Faambas Rancors and whatever then PLZ give us a chance to purchase connecting flights already at our departing port and not in Lagg-Capitol Coronet where it's a 90% chance to miss the connecting flight due to lagg when running to that ticket counter and back.
it's sad that 51 pages of beggin just go poof
