Me too, I'm actually quite surprised about the lack of anything from an official sourceeither on the BH missions not tracking us, or the greifing exploits of the missions. Also no posting from Tanks or Arjun either...makes me wish I could read the correspondant forums

I suspect you're right. I bet there is a fairly heated discussion going on there. At this point just a simple,

"We're aware of the situation and are looking into it" would suffice for today.

I believe Tanks is still on holiday.

Im disgusted people would stoop so low as to grief Jedi like this is, and would report any members I saw doing this. This can only lead to BH missions being pulled off the menu.

A simple solution I can see.... let Jedi clone to any cloning station when they die.

As to the original post, from my experiences.

Seekers dont seem to update after the initial WP. Resulting in you thinking the Jedi is standing still.

Seekers updating seem to make CTD happen.

'Target is not online' when clearly they are looking at friends list. (Jedi marked as /afk?)

I'm sorry, but that is what I expected after months and months of not being able to hunt them.

I am a BH and want to hunt Jedi. I took the day off of work for the patch as did a lot of other bh I know. The terminals were camped already when the server first loaded and it is because we have never been able to hunt them before.

Imagine being 13 and getting to go to disneyland for the first time.. this is how most of the bh I know felt. Seeing 15 bh at a mark isn't a suprise since it was the 1st time ever we could hunt them.

Well as when a child you remeber .. it only takes 1 rotten apple to spoil it for the rest of the group. and there are plenty in the bh proffesion.

fixes are simple.

1. if a mision on a jedi is taken no other bh can take that mission.
2. once the jedi is incapacitated the mission is done ...
3. once mission is completed jedi's visibility is reset
4. when carrying a mission to kill a jedi the bounty hunter MAY NOT BE IN A GROUP for as long as he has a mission for a jedi .. he may not /invite or accept an invitation.

TH-

I would like some kind of explanation from you or some of your cohorts as to why the BH clone camping exploit was not fixed when Arjun reported it BEFORE patch on test?

Why do we have a correspondent? I thought it was to communicate player issues to devs and vice versa? So now you have multiple bounty hunters repeatedly killing the same jedi over and over WITHOUT, I might add, ever losing their mission. Jedi are losing entire trees, any one of which is worth 14.5 million weapons experience (and therefore about 4entire elite combat professions).

Arjun claims hemade you aware that this could happen, yet you still pushed this feature to live? Restore my faith Kurt. Tell me that somewhere Arjun's report got lost in the shuffle or that you just didn't understand. Tell me anything other than you people knew and did it anyway. I'm slow to anger but my mercury is climbing here.

They're probably scrambling to figure out how to stem the flood of hate mail they are getting for their blatant stupidity. It has come to light in the Jedi forums that the Jedi correspondent told the devs about this problem prior to the patch going live and they still did nothing to fix the problem before putting it on live. They knew full well they were adding an exploit to the game and they did it anyway. It is an outrage for the developers to knowingly add an exploit to the game that gives griefers the capacity to harass players and destroy their characters. It's as bad as if they had added the capability for people to delete other's characters outright.

It's being worked on.....and yes I reported this before the patch went live.

Any Dev's care to comment on this? Why did you push the publish with this bug still in the game? This is a game breaking bug for every Jedi when they start losing skills as a result of this exploit.

The change was made on test centre. No doubt the huge backflip on the crafting issue sucked up alot of unexpected time.

The patch was rolled out in pieces awhile ago

Its most likely not 'easy' to just pull something out of a patch, past experience may indicate that it can be worse to pull something ill planned than to leave it.

Perhaps it was slated to be patched in a hot fix or still is.

Now, don't take those things as reply's. They are perhaps likelyhoods. If you think it's crap I'd say SWG is not for you, and beware other games/MMORPG. Unless under that environment you have a better solution. And thats probably off topic.

Ran some Jedi missions today. Brought back some of the old excitement from when i ran my first NPC bounties. Couple things i have noticed......

1- Jedi can hide in a battleground to avoid being attacked. They appear white (untargetable) in there.

2 - Bounties do not disappear from datapads if someone else claims them. I was beat to a Jedi bounty today by about 2mins. The mission stayed in my datapad after the other BH DBed the Jedi.

Both of these issues have the potential to make this part of the publish 7 worthless .

Here's an idea... As soon as either the BH or Jedi is incapped, the mission is complete and TEFs vanish. Sure, this is exploitable as well, but at least it's exploitable in a way that doesn't screw someone out of skills by griefing. Just a temp suggestion until you fix that loophole.

andno, I'm not a Jedi, but I do think this 'technique'of griefing should be bannable. As for Jedi missions, I think it's a great idea. After all, Jedi are supposed to be rare and hunted, and I hope the devs fix this coding, though I understand how hard ict can be. Such as a Jedi inside... if I type /way inside the theed cantina for instance, it often gives me a waypoint a couple K away. lol.

Good luck getting this fixed guys, though I think you should do some real bounty hunting, instead of relying on droids. hehe. A bribe here and there, etc, and you could track any Jedi just about. And much more fun than waiting for a shuttle. Just remember to either take some normal BH missions to pay for bribes, or keep the bribes to less than half the mission payout, or these missions will cost you money, hehe.

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.
