Thread: Vendor and Stockroom Issues
I logged on the other day and noticed that I had decidedly less items on my vendors. Especially my slower moving stuff like would packs. I chalked it up to just remembering wrong since I don't keep an offline inventory of all my stiff on sale. Why would I need to when I pay my vendor to take care of my stock in the game? I guess after reading this thread I know what happened now...
Anyway, I haven't lost everything and nothing I can't replace with some extra work. However, one thing is VERY clear.
You need to hotfix this yesterday!
I work as a software tester and loss of data (in this case items) is like one of the top 3 critical bugs (after things like security and crashes).
If there is some dev and test time needed for this fix, then you need to find a quick way to turn off deletion of items on vendors now while you figure it out.You have very little time to figure it all out before you have even more major issues with more than just the vendors on these boards, because I daresay there is a small percentage of people playing the game viewing these boards, let alone this thread.
Once you have figured out a way to deal with this to keep people from losing items, you need to post it in the patch notes so that people know what is going on and what to do until you sort it out.
I can imagine a fair portion of vendors just quitting the game over this. We put a LOT of time and effort into gathering resources, crafting items, paying maintenance on harvesters and factories, not to mention paying our vendors to do a job they seem to not be doing very well.
Please expedite this issue.
Thanks,
Ki

So I have to flush all 500+ item from my vendors, then restock them to ensure that they don't disappear? **edit** kind of game is this?
That does indeed work - I spent from 9ish till approx 3pm doing nothing but just that - but now I have another 14 days grace period.
Its what happens when the test center consists of mostly brand new characters with no advanced skills which are mainly there to test a the new mounts or vehicles,,,why anyone would spend the time to grind up to master than get wiped is beyond me,,,
Getting someone to play test is hard enough ,,let alone making them start as a newbie and then wiping the character every so often,,
The last time I was on test center the abandoned vehicles were so stacked up, you couldnt even see the jawa,,you had to go prone to target his robe to get your vehicle,,

What is happening is that we list things for 30 days and then after 14 days they go poof. We have people posting that they have watched it happen, at 16 days left on the timer their items go poof, no stockroom, not nothing, just lost items.
Get it straight.
I dont read the forums daily either, but I think I will more often now, logged on and discovered I have lost over 300 Items from my storage vendor, wtg guys nice to let this bug slip by and screw us all over.. Not sure about most but this may be the nail in my account..
sort of a poll.
Of the vendors that are eating items, are they near the border of the build zone? You know where I mean? if you tried to build any closer to a non-player city ti wouldn't let you.
Most of the hijinx I see are in these zone border DMZs just outside of cities.
Every minute that ticks by without a hotfix, more merchants are losing even more items. There is a greater percentage of people who don't read these forums than those who do. A hotfix is needed ASAP to circumvent this from occuring!
Was out of town all day today, glad to see a dev response (albiet inaccurate), and a ton of ppl correcting him. Please, we beg you, at least drop a hotfix to STOP the deletions from continuing until you get it sorted out!
