you all say battlefront is what SWG is'nt, your so right. battlefront is an FPS, SWG is an MMORPG.

battlefront should have an ending, SWG should not.

if you think battlefront is what you have been looking for then you should never have played SWG.

I came to SWG looking for a fun Star Warsy experience....

Jedi everywhere, to name 1.....and alot of other stuff un-star warsy here

I bought Battlefront last night, and I love it. It's the Star Wars game i was waiting so long for.

its funny how so many people wanted a game with no or minimal jedi and now that SWG is heading that way everybody is complaining.

take a look at some of the posts in the BH forums. its full of people(mostly jedi) complaining about the new system of being on the BH terms. its a good system because it will help limit the number of jedi and keep those that are smart hidden from view.

battlefront is fun I agree 100% but trust me it will get stale very quickly once you start playing on-line and you experiance some of the old BF1942 tactics of players TK'ing to get vehicles first and spawn camping from the word go.

We are aware that you are anxious for it to switch over. We are too :-)

A bit more info... the cycles are based on a specific number of seconds (1814400 to be precise) that is ticked off by system uptime.

The server resets the day after the cycle has ticked off. Again, the value can change based on village load. And the uptime can be affected by unexpected downtime (like maintenance, etc.).

So it really is approximately 3 weeks.

And it really will happen soon.

Perhapsinstead of time, you could base it on how many missions are being accepted. With the exception of new inductees, I can't imagine it taking more than a week for people to get their unlock in a given phase. Three weeks was more than long enough (especially considering the time to complete 6 branches. Even more so if you need several branches from a given phase.) This would keep the ball rolling based on how your players are progressing. Since you can start in any phase, missing one wouldn't be a big deal for a new member.

The village brought with it a certain amount of momentum for many players, myself included. Let's keep up the pace so everyone is still having fun. I've been playing since release. I didn't grind for silent professions. THIS (and only THIS)is my content right now. Personally, I'm looking at one (maybe two) day(s) of fun with a reward, and three weeks of killing the same thing over and over again.

Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe you should adjust that timer down a bit to coincide with the lousy servers that go down and need "maintenance" every single day.

Thanks for the info G Perhaps if the above was communicated more effectively early on, rather than the repeated "3 week cycle" .... the thousand pages of griping would not have been seen.

Effective Communication is good.... mmmmmk?

Ok, i have a slight problem, Firstly when i got home i started my phase 2 quest. I decided to unlock the vehicle force control from whip. Now for anyone who doesnt know this quest is a LONG quest and expensive. I did the quest and got to the 3rd-4th crate of supplies to get, but when i cleared the sith shadows, i saw the crate and tried to pick it up, but the command to say pick up never came up. So i wrote /pickup in the console, and it kept saying you cannot see the crate, half of the crate was in the tree while the other outside... But it wouldnt let me pick it up. Now if any Dev's see this please help, as i do not want to start the quest over again, it took me like 2 hours to get up to that point, please just give me thecrate so that i can continue my Whip quest to unlock my branch please. Well to no change i think you devs are idiots. Stop horsing around like NORMAL PEOPLE like me know your doing and do your job your horsing around delays exactly what we are paying for and while I find the game very amusing being a big star wars fan it really annoys me how you guys could care less about what the paying customers want.

And by the way what happened to cybernetics? I thought fake limbs like in the movies were being incorporated into the game.

Oh but I forgot half of you never even saw Star Wars. It seems you were just lucky enough to find a help wanted ad in a penny saver and got the job.

well thanx again for pushing more stuff back because you guys are incompetant.

This type of business ethic continues at SOE because of their CEO, John Smedley. Little does the public know, that Star Wars Galaxies was scrapped in 2002 and redeveloped in 14 months from the ground up. In a meeting, they asked how they could get away with releasing such an unfinished product. John Smedley stated that people will buy it because it has a Star Wars name on it - and then laughed as they said they would complete the retail product (which consumers have already paid $49.99 for) with approximately 2 years of subscription revenue

So Basically because of SOE's unexpected down time last week we are looking about approximately 26 hours or so from when it should have been up barring anymore unexpected downtime.
