Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 3-1-04)
Just how difficult is it to say, "The system has NOT changed with publish 6, it is not broken, it is working exactly as it did before, and your chances of unlocking are the same now as they were before Publish 6."
That is a clear, concise answer that leaves no room for doubt and speculation, and is one I personally think we all deserve to hear.
If otherwise, then I would like to hear, "There have been some changes in the unlocking system since Publish 6, and unlocking will now be more difficult." or perhaps, "The system for unlocking FS has not changed, but it HAS been turned off."
Why Themepark reset is bugged?
When will that be fixed?
I reseted Jabba Themepark, but can't do it again! Nobody talks to me! CSR told me, "take another quest, don't do it, go to Jabba again, wait for 'you-are-working-for-someody-others,-do-you-want-to-work-for-me' text, and then you can do it"
No, I can't! It is still bugged!
On Bestine in the Museum nobody has a "conversation" button! Can't do the Museum-Quests either!
Any official word on it????

Just a note on some CH bugs, they follow literally on top of me. I cannot even move a meter out of the way and they will move right on top of me.
I had to tame a giant veermok to have a mid level tanking pet tall enoughthat doesn't come to rest with my head stuck in its rear...
Also still having problems with pets staying on the attack.
On the Pet sitting on top of you thing, we'll have that worked out soon. On the pet tanking issue, what was the pet and did its personality change? Some pets are "cowards"...
So what your saying is... some of our pets now are pretty darn useless. I just picked up CH again, and was please to get hold of a Dewback for a mount, lvl 20. I send him into combat by himself and after the first shot or 2 he is running for the hills.
So "if" my pet is a coward, shouldn't this mean that every time I fight a dewback, it should run from me after I hit it once or twice? Hey that would only make sense.
For the love of Pete, why nerf CH's any more. They already got hit with the nerf stick pretty hard a while back. While I approve of all of the changes you made before, this "coward" pet thing is makeing it VERY, VERY hard to gain CH XP.
Please remove the "coward" pets... or make the entire species act the same. If an NPC can exploit my dewback then I should be able to use the same exploit on dewbacks myself. ![]()
* opens fire on a pack of dewbacks with a AOE shot, and watches them all run like crazy*
You said in the in concept thread to post this in Live, so I thought I'd elaborate a bit here:

1) Any sort of formal update on Armorsmith issues? Have we ever had a Top 5 response? Missing stats from segments/layers, GDK scale drops, shifting stats on PSG, Tantel, RIS.
2) Can we expect new mounts or vehicles anytime relatively soon?
3) Will the Aqualish Cave badge be fixed so I (and others) can get out Master Explorer badge?
1. We are diligently working the armorsmith stuff. See the In Live thread response for a breif Top 5 Update
2. We are planning 2 new mounts...No new ground vehicles (probably) until after Space.
3. I'll look into the Aqualish thing - - are you sure it gets a badge? Not all POIs get badges... (Ill try to head out there tonight)
(Pleaseput posts like thisIn Live)

It's been a lot worse since the patch. nearly everything seems to run now. It happened with some pets before, but now it's almost universal.

In light of the talk about smugglers lately with the crackdown issues, I would like to bring something up.
I think it would be a great addition to the profession if some unarmed skills were added to the dirty fighting line.
Unarmed skill is required to attain novice smuggler, but never used thereafter.
We could add in some cheap shots or something.. nothing too powerful, but stuff to add viability, RP, and fun!
Cronuss - - why do you not use unarmed? I'll see if anything can be done though.
He's referring to the fact that once you get smuggler, you no longer receive unarmed skills or modifiers. It takes unarmed to get Novice, but then it's forgotten about entirely. Dirty fighting only grants pistol specials.
I'm also wondering if there will ever be a fix for CH used special attacks and use ranged attacks not working. They never have. The commands do absolutely nothing, and are the only possible positive thing received by CHs in months.

There is an ever grown /yawn about the impact about the Crackdown.
Among the Smugglers there are two dominant opinions: 1) It is hurting business, and 2) it is doing nothing at all.
My personal vote is number 2.
What are the plans to give the Crackdown some "teeth" as you say?
Agreed. At first i thought the crackdown was awsome, huge spawns of troopers and AT-STs in cornoet. I thought it would always be like that everywhere. In fact, it was only a one-time thing (still don't know why it happened), and i haven't even seen a cantina trooper in coronet since. Even Kor Vella only has a few troopers that can be ewasily camped and defeated if no imp NPCs come to their rescue. The only "Noticable increase in imperial presence" is the star destroyers over some towns. Somehow, i don't feel threatened. I never been scanned, either in imperial towns or in the wilderness. Should be much more frequent.
"It has NOT been changed"
"though there is an important piece of the puzzle that isn't realized by most players..."

This was a "live event" to sort of kick off the crackdown, not set the common level of "crackdown" presence and activity.
I've been scanned and jumped several times in town and in the wilderness with shuttles dropping off STs. I wouldn't mind a little more harrassment against me, but so far this new content has been great. It should be what it is, an enhancement to the immersion, not a debilitating battlefield operation on every square inch of each planet as some have been requesting (not that you did, just a general feel from quite a few).
