This change is quite differnt for teh devs.... normally they give changes taht benefit new/non powergamers... this however, will only benefit the elite crafters who have been building up reserves of resrouces for months on end. I have had countless fairly new crafters saying they are quitting after this patch goes live. one of them has 7 accounts, 5 crafters. so once the nerf comes in, he is cancelling 5ofthem.

I think if the good stuff is harder to craft, then the price will go up and there will be more peopel whining about an over inflated economy. but hey what do i know.

maby they want to bring the #'s on weapions and equipment down to a more reasionable level?

the #'s in this game are starting to read like some FF title....

"you have hit for 99999"

im starting to think this is for one reaion only...to lower the bar.

thuss making content more challanging...and i bet they have some more changes comming to better the game to.like armor...could this be step one to making comp NOT the end all be all of armor?

im thinking yes....

I'm thinking you don't understand crafting.

This change will hurt Composite, it will also Hurt Ubese, Bone, Mibari and Special Furry Loincloths. Comp will still be the end all be all. It's just that the end will be far closer.

i thinking you dont understand what im talking about....the armor thing was about somthing said in an erlier thread about making each armors MAX difrient for each type....basicly...Ubise tops out at 90% kinitec...while comp only goes to 60%...and vica verca...

and dont talk down to me....makes you look silly..

you should be triing your experimentation inside a research center with a belly full of Bespin Port and Pyollian Cake and if you have any crafting enhancing clothes how does this combo work out i cant check it out cuz im not on TC hehe good luck guys i was hoing that the experimentation would give more diversity rather then limiting you to only one row STILL yes the 100% max damage/speed will be nice but im already producing such hi end weapons if the new patch doesnt allow me to experiment with range or costs whats the point? i was hoping for a more varied end product instead of a more consistent end product

Amazing successes do, however, now raise the maximum caps. As far as I can tell, they raise it by the amount that they are better than a 'great' success- i.e.: ((resource quality/1000)*.08%)-((resource quality/1000)*.07%). As you can see, this value is very slight, approximately 1% when using perfect (1000 quality) resources. Unfortunately, however, due to the very small amount by which an amazing success exceeds an ordinary success, it is very difficult to measure exactly how big a benefit an amazing success is.

given that a single stat item at 1000 gives you a base of 27-30% (depending on first assembly) the formula above is fine for a 1or line of experimentation10 great successes will max the item (this is prepatch 7)

what i would like to see is that the BETTER the material the better the BASEa level 500 single stat should be in the 27-30% base stage while a 1000 single stat should be double that ie 56-60% BUT that cants the base of what a novice can make to that of a master rite? wrong yes the novice will still be good but will have to spend 2-8 points just to get the 100% that they know will sale while a master will be able to max 1 and almost 2 different lines for weaponsmiths this gives diversity you wont have to runn buffed just to use the "best" weapons cuz the HAM drains to fast or the range mod actually is in the positive for some weapons instead of negative architechs will have 14ber harvesters that will beable to hold a weeks worth of resources armoursmiths will beable to make a layered comp armour suit that you can wear when not buffed chefs will beable to make food you can eat/drink more then one of and still give you the 'best' stat modifiers docs will beable to get awesome power and uses from their meds

we were informed that that level of experimentation was going to be effected by the level of the resource stats well yeah thats what they have done but they back slid by ignoreing the fact that US crafters are looking for diversity rather then CLONES at different prices

ty rune for such a good job todate with the game (and the rest of the devs and programmers too ive enjoyed the 100's / 1000's of hours of play)

Dear SOE,

if you want this game to survive this year, get some developers that:

1. are able to work out long term solutions to current "unbalance" instead of overreacting on whiners and therefor nerfing everything.

2. know how to code or at least got some training in basic programming skills ! Or how do you want to explain that they are not able to fix minor bugs for months ?

3. listen to the people that actually ensure their job !

4. Communicate ! They just throw out a thread and let it run for days, without answering questions or clarifying any uncertainties.

Maybe you should get someone who knows about economics, too. Because it seems you cannot figure out simple things like: Without customers, your product is worth nothing.

By the way, I just cancelled my two accounts. I was a hardcore gamer and if you hadn't destroyed the game over time, I would have been playing it for years. But maybe your target market really is little kids that play PvP for a month or two and then quit.

Have a nice day !
Oh, and please don't think I will ever buy an SOE product again !

P.S.: If you delete this post, it's just another proof that you don't take your customers serious.

This guy brings up a lot of good points. too bad SOE really won't be reading this eventhough they claim they will. I don't botherwith theseforums too much as i would if i knew thatthe devs ouwld actually listen to the informed minority rather than the cry baby majority.

but what do the devs really care... they know that even if the game goes down the toobs, they can always work for SOE on its next big crappy game.
