I'm glad the combat balance will be after the space expansion.

Didn't want to quit before that hit really.

I suspect the Combat balance will ruin my game. Lets just hope the space expansion can balance that out.

I have played this game for a long time and have experienced every nerf and change involved with the Creature Handling profession. I have hunted down and tamed counltess rare pets and have started a guild that is now on multiple servers designed to encourage and support the creature handler profession. The removal of pet decay in pvp and the pet recoverywas a nice additionto the game recently for us because at least nowif we chose to pvp our pets more then likely wont lose pvp.

Howeverthis is not enough to bring creature handlers back to pvp because there is another issue that we have to face. Since all the nerfsour pets are not deemed as formidible adversaries anymore and because of that creature handlers regardless of pets or skill are easily defeated. Even with myJediMaster Creature Handler thecreatures that I have labored so hard to acquire because of their unique abilitiesare ignored in pvp. I have to solely rely on myjedi skillson my trandoshanMaster Creature Handling Jediormyriffleman/ swordsmanskills of my wookiee master ch to defend myself.

Here are the top 3 issues I have with the Profession:

From all the creature handlers I representin BEAST I am askingforspecific pets to havegreat pvp abilities such as medium armor. The rare pets in the game such as the BullRancor are so hard to get they should have such an armor protection and because it is so hard to get only the most devoted creature handlers in the swg universe will have it. Also we wouldlike to have some sort of structure to store pets and conduct business so we are no longer reduced to haveing to stand in front of a starport or post on forums to sell a pet. With the storage ability inside homes we would finally have a place to store pets we do not want to delete and provide a true home for a creature handler. We would like any creature under the levelof 70 to be tamable whetherit be a rare spawn or not. Those are our top 3 issues with the profession andI feel by saying this I represent not just myself but all 32members of my guild spanning on 5 servers of swg.

only thing soe will take note of is severly declining subscriptions.and lost revenue for the new venue will therefore be doubled,ie lost old accounts assumed to migrate, and lost new accounts once word starts to spread.

this game can crash and burn as quickly as it started folks, soe doesnt have the power, the subscribers do.never ever discount grassroots movements

I'm not defending his honor necessarily but i'm certain people throughout history have done far worse to get or keep a job and/or for money. The only thing i've tried to point out in my other posts is that I don't feel TH should be the one getting crucified. I know we're all pissed but some of the comments that people have madeare pretty harsh personal attacks on TH himself.

thats what gets me if hes all that why front for a corrupt, and misguided outfit? it certainly isnt a feather in anyones cap atm, seeing how so much of the community is in outright revolt against this "Delay" tactic.

I've worked for at least two companies that if they were a person I wouldn't trust to play with a rabid dog so I don't blame the man for being gainfully employed regardless of who it is. Having said that, you're completely correct.....having the SOE logo on your check isn't something I'd be waving around in front of this Wookiee right now!

guess what soe you want jtl you fund it,many of us are done waitin prayinand payin, you chose every boneheaded move that broke the game devs, then proceeded to backpedal and stall and ignore us for months

how bout this you let us play for free till gcw....well pay you when we thinks its worth the price ...trust us we willl.....ya rite.see why the stall tactics arent goin to work anymore now?

and they wonder why class actions were staerted against other mmog's.....and they won too...court stated online content has value to the player.

not that id bother at this point it would take mosses and the parting of the red sea to fix this crap game

Maybe we could get a Jedi to do it for us?

I'm not a Jedi hater but it seemed appropriate.

No need for that my furry Bothan friend Let's focus our hatred on the people who really deserve it: TH and the lying moneygrabbing Devs. If individual players still like the game, good for them. We did our duty by warning them what a pile of **edit** it really is.

I know programming these games isn't like dusting crops, but just for player/customer relations in the future I would not announce anything unless it can be delivered on said date.

Is it disappointing? Yes

Will it make the game better? We will have to wait and see I suppose.

im sory to say so but, after publish 10 if i see its imposible to be jedi im going to be one of the persons leaving from swg.

after masteres a few profesions, doing quest and so on and so on,the only light in my way is ti become jedi,.

i just hope they done make it imposible thou, when the holo grinding fever came out i didnt do it because that wasnt the way to do things in the swg world sory to say but the dev's really screwed up with that.

so now i have a moral dilema,i think i will wait for publish 10,i dont care if i have to be doing quests for 6 months but i do wanna know "ill be able to be jedi" if they only allow like 10 jedi per server well im sory but im leaving,i think that information should be disclosed i am entitled to know because the information till this day has been very vague.

im not expectin much from jtl so i wont be disapointed like with all the jedi "holo grinding" fiasco.

i am very loyal to swg,i live in spain and because it took longer to get here i bought it from an import shop and i have paid every month and i want to be jedi,i dnt care about working hard but i want to know for sure that all my work is going to be worth it.

sory bor being that harsh but thats the way i feel

I think 42 pages of reaction in the form of...

"Don't do it"

"You let us down again Dev's"

"You say one thing and lead us down the garden path, then change your mind"

"Care more about the expansion than the core game with paying customers"

"Expletives"

would be some indication at how outraged the community is about this awful decision. You cost yourself a LOT of credibility here development team. You only have youselves to blame. Your management of the project went to hell due to lack of resources. I would fire your project leads and get new one's that commit to the deadlines they release. I would also fire the communication people for lying to the commuity. (oh wait Q has gone! convienient).

Why doesn't the big boss stand up and address the community. We want our pound of flesh for lying to us for 8 months on this combat revamp issue.

Don't even try to minimize the effect by promising us quick fixes and cookiees to shut us up, like you did with the 50 skill pts for BH. The fact is you screwed everyone and didnt manage expectations ... now everyone is on fire and the brigade is out to lunch.

Sheesh TH, did they promote you just to break the bad news?

Here's my guess (not that anyone cares)......
It was hinted earlier in something that TH wrote (too lazy to go find it and put it in my post as proof) that this was decided a couple of weeks ago. I believe he said something about "....many sleepless nights over the past couple of weeks...." so here's my conspiracy theory:
The person who preceeded TH in his current position told SOE to shove their decision up their posterior cavity so they fired him, promoted TH under the condition that he be paraded out in front of the players to make this announcement and be fully behind it or they would look for someone else.
I don't have an opinion about any SOE employee, other than the big boys that make the choices, Players are the only people in a game that matter to me, so this isn'tcheers or jeers for Thunderheart or his predecessor.....it's just a thought I had.

I sometimes feel bad for Thunderheart. I'm not exactly certain if they really try to keep him out of the loop and make him look bad in front of the player community or not, but some days it seems that way.

Granted I wouldn't want to be the one in his shoes, but then, I wouldn't have made the same post. I would have types up my resignation and told the suit to stuff it.

In one respect, I feel bad for him, but on the other hand he says he's a fan of the game and loves it as much as we do, but I'm just not buy'n that considering he took the promotion, still works there, and is still putting up with the utter lack of development.

All of these games are about profit, pure and simple, and the basic rule is "Whatever the market will bear". The game just finished it's first year, it's getting it's first expansion, and those sales will let them know the success rate of it.

I myself am not just ranting on a forum, I really am leaving the game because I am not satisfied. My two accounts make no real difference in the grand scheme of things, my comments on this board will never be read by anyone at SOE that has the power to effect development, heck, I seriously doubt TH will ever even see them.

Maybe when people do start moving on to other games they'll get a real plan, drop the cost of expansions to like $15 or $20, drop the monthly fee to about $10 and start to add some content on a regular basis, who knows.

I've enjoyed about 50% of my time in the game, but I can't say I'll ever check back again. This is the first and last SOE game I will ever play, but again, I'm sure that makes no difference too them.
