I like the large decoration ideas, or something that cant be made. Interesting ideas about special schematics. Just dont do armor as a prize, havent us wookies been screwed enough over the armor thing. We maybe tough skinned but i want wookie helmets and boots. Badges are good. Skill Attachment tape is great, but i havent gotten any tape for four weeks, not one. I really liked the skill tape, i had clothes made to use the tape in. Now the tape dosnt work in my clothes, no added effects, hope it gets fixed soon. Back to the original question...anything that is original and rare is a great gift...i.e. heavy weapons before the materials became available. thanks

What about having cool resources being the results of cool quests. This way, the artisans would send the fighter on that particular quest to retrieve the resources for them.

Raid the Cordez Thief gang's hideout and retrieve the stolen crate of copper that were lost 6 months ago!

I also like the idea of special schematics being looted. All of those things could very well generate more interaction between the fighting professions and the crafting professions.

The schematics are a nice idea.... but.

I think instead of dropping something for the quests, I think that the harder quests should have something that can MODIFY existing stuff. I'm thinkingan abductedalchemist (like a slicer) - but not slicing. More of an 'imbue'.

So I do uber quest ... and I get to end and give my laser rifle ... boom! Speed dropped by 1.0. I get Badge. I get option to use a new title. Quest done - can't get those rewards again - that weapon can't be 'imbued' again. Maybe I do another quest that imbues armor...

Its still supporting PLAYER crafted items - because the best weapons will be the ones crafted by players...

I like some ideas already mentioned. But what seems to me important is, that the reward is different each time in order to avoid a surplus of certain things in the economy as a whole. The reward of the same mission couldnot only be a variable of a schematic (like schematic a, schematic b) but also something completely different. Here is a smalllist whatI would like to see:

-special schematic that cannot be learned through normalmeans, something like a lost lore

- special title + badge

- special skill or even profession that cannot be obtained in any other way, i.e. archaic weapon specialist, desert scout, information brokeretc.

- special resource that arenot found on existing planets anywhere. This in turncould lead to the possibility tomanufacture certain rare items depending on the amount of this resource.

- jewelry, decorative items etc.

These are just a few thoughts, but the possibilities are endless.

Rather than repeat what everyone else has suggested, what I and I think others would do a long quest for -is to gain more building lots.

Trophies and badges are all very well, but the ability to harvest an extra 100% resources than your competitors would be great reward in itself.

I am a master tailor and I make socketed clothes. I can't count the people that have asked me about the sockets and what goes in them? There needs to be for attachments dropped for the garments. Also, another idea is to have special slots in some schematics for enhancements. These enhancements can be dropped and used to sell to the crafter and it would add a special buff to what they were making. If anything is dropped that would give an unfair advantage to crafters, give it a very limited lifespan and not repairable. Also something like this could not be a static mission because then there would be those doing it over and over again to take advantage of it. There could be more drops that don't have to do with combat or doesn't affect the crafters. Paintings, stuff that could decorate the house that is not made by an architect. Right now people are always hunting for some special thing. Something unique for their house. Thereare even stores that sell these things to people that don't know how to obtain them.

I want more content..... plain and simple. One of the best steps towards this goal is to first of all fix the existing quests. There are a whole string of story based quests out there that are broke. I wlil grant you that there is an equally large number that are working as intended. But the ones that I REALLY want to try are the dungeon related quests and everyone of them that I have run are broke. I have gone through and spent several hours clearing out one dungeon by myself. Only to find no reward. The mag locked chests are empty and my heart hangs low as I leave and realize I did nothing but get some xp.

You know back in the UO days, one of our biggest draws was to get unique items that we could then display prominently in our homes. This was done usually through GM sponsored events or around holidays they had a ticket system where you would go around matching your two tickets with someone else's two tickets(it was number based). Once you matched it you turned it in and you got to choose a semi unique reward from a menu system it displayed. The tickets were only redeemable for a limited time. So that generated a certain number of those items on that server and thus a unique displayable item of limited number was introduced to the server.

Now I am not saying I am all for seeing every player I run across spamming hey do you ahve ticket # blah blah. But it is an idea.

Of course back in my UO days there were also a LOT of GM sponsored events too. Star Wars has just as much history to it if not WAY more history than the Ultima series, so content for GM sponsored events should not be a problem.

You could introduce a series of class specific quests that yield a unique item usable only by that class, or perhaps a unique ability. That is what your Sony run Verant brotheren did over on EQ. Worked well on there. In fact it was some of the most fun I had on that game. Running long involved quests that had an interesting storyline and background to it made the game enjoyable for me.

As it stands I have done all the questing I care to do on SWG. There is no real reward to it, save for a few unique quests that yield unique, or somewhat unique, items. With a player based economy it is hard I realize to offer loot that is gong to outdo what most crafters could make. However to go back to my UO days yet again... We didn't have that problem and we did have very rare magical loot's that dropped. Granted the were better than the GrandMaster crafted items. BUT, as a 7xGrandMaster crafter, I still had no trouble selling my armors, weapons, bows, etc. The simple truth is that people didn't like to use up their dropped magic weapons and armor. It does wear out and when it does it is gone. So they would always keep a good stock of regular GM crafted armors and weapons on hand. They would usually only break out the magic weapons when in dire need of that extra oomf.

So do I think it would break the economy if you put in some ultra rare weapons and armor drops that were better than a player could craft? In a word... no. I will still go to my favorite weaponsmiths and buy 4 or 5 guns at a time and slice them all and use them and only pull out the big guns when I really need em.

Just a few random thoughts spat out a sleep deprived mind. Take them for what they are worth.

My Ideas,

Some have already been posted here. But since I didn't read every single post here go's.

1. Clothing and Armor Dye's. (Tailor's and Armorsmiths should be able to change the color of exsisting stuff anyway.)

2. Galatic Bus Pass, a ticket that lest you ride for freeX amout of times.

3. Skill tapes that are worth using! (also they do not work on backpacks with sockets atm they just go into it).

4. Weapon and/or Armor upgrages. One time only per item (aside from slicing).

5. More trophys like the Kryat Dragon Skull (best one ever! also Ilike the Banta Statue).

6. XP boost to skill of your pick. IE: and the end of the quest the NPC will pass on some skills to you (this should match the level of the quest).

7. Cape's and/or Real cloaks with hoods (why are wookiees the only race that can use a hood?)

Whatever the reward is at the end of a quest I feel that you should be able to pick from a list what you would like to get. There's nothing worse than getting an item that you can't use or unable to use due to race or profession. Great a Launcher Pistol from Leia, to bad im not a Commando. Or boots great I'm a Trandoshan etc.

Also kinda off topic but I think funiture is a waste of money and space that this point. So tofix this how about making items that do things. Like the a lamp that makes light! The torchs are cool and all but come on this is a Sci-Fi game. Chests, shelves and Amoirsthat u can put items into. Also I feel that since funiture does nothing but make your place look they should only count as .5 volume in your house or heck nothing at all. Since we only got 250 items max to keep why do I even want to have a bookshelf or bed. I want to keep my old weapons, clothes and unique items. Also bags shuld count as say 5 volume, backpacks 6 but items you put in them don't count towards your 250 item limit.

This would not only make home owners happy but also drive the Arch market cuz people would want to buy funiture heck maybe even pay faction points on them (why the heck would I spend my hard earned points on a tech armoir) sorry for the ranting.

Thank you.

Skill points...I would gladly run enDless missions and pay 100 million credits for one stinking skill point. How about working our some epic quests with this as the reward.

If you add quest badge, make them retroactive for the player allready make the quest

(or give the possibility to talk with the npc to get it active)

Hopefully these haven't been mentioned yet.

Unique NPC pets, like an elite stormtrooper, or an elite specforce marine, or even an unaligned NPC, like an ewok, a marauder, or something unique that decides to join you when a quest is over as a sidekick. Have them not count against your pet or faction pet total and have them not be permadeath. These should be something special rather than the disposable underlings you hand us through recruiters. If combat pets aren't negotiable, how about a non-combat NPC pet? A Twi'lek slave you set free who joins you to act as a dancer in your camps, or in your own cantina, or just look frickin' hot as hell standing next to you in town. A generic medic type NPC that stays with you after a quest for the obvious benefit. These don't have to be uber beneficial, maybe no more than a novice level of effect, but something that adds some dimension to your character. Even a novice medic can revive you before a DB goes down, or a dancer that can play the role when you are on an expert world where there are seldom any player entertainers.

Better yet, have some quests offer unique baby creatures that are stored in your inventory like BE pets. These don't have to be overpowering, but they should be creatures that make the 70 CL cap for creature handlers mean something, like a baby bull rancor or the like. The player is doing the quest and is putting more focussed effort into the game as opposed to just wandering the wilderness looking for random babies. Reward them for their efforts.

If these are faction oriented quests, like for Jabba or somesuch, have them offer you a badge or an item that makes the otherwise aggro members of their faction ignore you.

Definitely more household decor items. Perhaps a table or end table schematic that can be placed with some items built onto it, like there are at the starports and guildhalls.

More unique items, like the Bantha statue or the Eyes of Mesra that just add some flavor to the nature of the dropped loot.

Get rid of broken junk rewards. That is just insulting to our intelligence.

Definitely some more unique armor styles, not necessarily uber, but different. Thus far I have heard of Night Sister armor, Singing Mountain clan armor, and I have a set of the Marauder Armor. Even though I am a wookiee, I would love to get a set of Mandalorian Armor or maybe a quest that could offer up some kind of wookiee wearable armor.

How about some unique weapons? They don't need to be an uber-death weapon, but something like a flame pistol that can be used by someone without being a commando at 1/4 the damage of a normal flamethrower. Have the quest offer you the cert for it like the Republic Blaster does now (sometimes).

This is a long Thread!

A concept you might not have thought of........

Give the Really long epic quests a dynamic starting point.

i.e make only one NPC randomly placed on some random planet the start of this epic quest.

Then the quest cannot be powerplayed by characters...let only one NPC per planet have the mission per hour, then change his location to another.

Then you could make the prizes huge and you will see all these people doing all these smaller quests without knowing if it turns into the UBER quest.....also without having to worry wether or not people will repeatively do the quest and thus destroy the ecomomy.

Great idea about the pictures..art would be great..ofcourse they would have to add the option for vertical placement of items.. And I think image designers should be the only ones who can make these..not droid engineers or architects.. Droid engineers in reality can put a droid together but more than likely art was never their number 1 priority.
