Thread: Desired Rewards
I would like to see a special type of clothing that can only be found by doing quests. I was stoked when I got a flight suit from Wedge. It was kind of a downer when later that week I came across a merchant selling the exact same flight suit.
Badges would be great too and I think it would be awesome to have titles available to those that have completed a certain number of quests.
I think schematics might be a little too powerful. What about weapon powerups that are ridiculously awesome but only last for like 10 shots. You could hold that special powerup until you really needed it and it would actually mean something when you used it.
Other rewards could be power units for harvestors or a free cloning ticket, perhaps even a stat boost for the next 6 hours.
These are just random thoughts, but any of them would be much more useful than "a broken datapad".
I've said before that the "one-time use" schematics are a great idea, and would be something both crafters and clients would appreciate. Like a special DL44 pistol with heat damage, and has a funky-looking barrel on the end of it, or maybe a torch that has "sparklies" falling off of it as it burns.
Plus, I really like the idea of having clothing items with skill mod increases, like a necklace with +5 ranged defense, or a pair of shoes with +5 pistol accuracy.
What else could there be? How about:
Special food/drink schematics that give skill mod boosts. Like a Tatooine Sunburn that gives +10 to armorsmith experimentation for 400 seconds, or something similar.
Storyline documentation. Maybe a parcel with "Do Not Touch: Imperial Only" inscribed on the outside, and inside are details about the inner workings of the Imperium. Like have a three-page document about the correct protocol for Stormtrooper reconnaisance duty, or a technical background of the inner workings of an AT-ST hydrolic system, etc. Just a little something "Starwarsy" to give a bit of info to the real dedicated fans out there. Once in a while, have junk documents drop on random people, like a personal journal or diary. Something like:
"Day 1: Moisture farming is the pits! I hate this job! I wish I'd never come to Tatooine!"
"Day 2: My next door neighbor is GORGEOUS! I'm glad I got into moisture farming!"
It just adds a bit of humor to the environment, plus you could play a bit of "Star Wars" into it.
But for really BIG quests, you should get rare items that normally can't be gotten. Like for completing a huge quest that involves days of grouping to get through, give some resources that normally can't be found. Like 100 units of a very rare, very good quality Alantium carbonate ore. They could then give that to their local weaponsmith to make them a T-21 rifle with. But there again, you would have to trust the individual you're giving it to. Otherwise, they might give you the old "Well, it was a critical failure," thing and screw you out of your purchase.
Trophy items are always a good idea. I think it would be cool if you could get components to make statues out of. Let's say one big quest gets you the lower leg sections of an AT-AT. Then, another quest gets you the upper leg, and another gets youhalf of the body section, etc. until you assemble all the parts together, and put it up as a deed. Make it take up one of your building lots. Then, people could come from miles around to see your wonderful AT-AT statue you put up on the outskirts of your player town. You could go crazy with this and get parts for a TIE fighter, or an X-Wing, or a snow speeder from Hoth, or whatever you felt like doing! It would be cool to have your own Star Wars type souveniers around your PA hall.
List of ideas:
a) Special components for weapons, armor (Krayt tissues are a hit, as are some of the weapon mod loot from Tuskens, Nyms guard etc...)
b) Schematics to special items for various crafters, requiring a lot of resources but potentially better then 'standard'
c) Super rare resources used in above schematics (related quests can get you all you need to build a special blaster/sword/armor piece, for example). Then you want to find a great crafter to put it together for you
d) Decorative items- the Krayt Skull is a excellent and popular one, I like the statues, paintings, lighting, anything...
e) A faction reward more then 10 pts. At least 50
f) Badges
g) Clothing items with minor, but random skill enhancer
h) Special mind healing medicines (100 pt mind heal- seen some of these already in game, enough to get someone up from mind incap)
i) Treasure maps, with the treasure being a appropriate amount of credits/locked containers and what not
j) Medallion/Jewelry you can wear that is unique
Just please, no more low level CDEF, boots, gloves, 3 of such and such resource, from a difficult mission.

I want a clue dropped about how to become force sensative!
Short of that I think a fair amount of really, extremely, excellent resources or special schematics would be nice.
i have a feeling no one is going to read this but how about this idea
you make REALLY good loot, like a armor set that is better than composite or something, or some kind of useful item or cool house decorations, but make this loot VERY hard to get and VERY rare, so that players must buy the best equipment available from the armorsmiths, weaponsmiths etc... to stand any chance, this game need some epic quests for groups, like the OCD ( for those of you from earth and beyond )
First please fix quests that are broken and broken for an individual (I have a friend that tried the bug bomb questI think the second day it came out, got all the components and the guy won't acknowledge them - 4 CSR tickets and 2 bug reports later the quest still can't be completed or cleared for this individual to try to do it again, and that is just wrong
- very disappointing for this weaponsmith
).
Desired rewards:
Tiny Tattoine house schematic - I love those tiny little houses and it could work like the small Naboo house that is 1 lot
Decorations - rugs, trophies, paintings, statues, toys, etc.
Wookiee clothing schematics
Hat, vest and robe schematics
Missing weapon schematics (scythe comes to mind)
Chef food supplement drops
BE clone schematics
DE new droid schematics
Badges for theme parks (I had wondered why I hadn't seen any....)
Armoursmith new armour schematic
New Arch furniture schematics
New Chef food schematics (especially desserts
)
, but first please fix quests so Everyone can do them!
Here are my 2 cents.
Dungeons seem like a pit of nothingness, after doing the many dungeons ive done i havent found 1 item in mag locks. Also if your scared of people running to maglocks have the maglocks unopenable if a enemy is around without like 30-40 meters. We need many many many of loot items that increase outpost of weapons and armor. Make certain things that increase the dmg by a ton but make the durability so bad you dont wanna use stuff. Or make the speed on a weapon increase huge but the dmg acutally goes down.
Q:
I don't know if the suggestion has already been mentioned, but....how about giving extra skill points for these epic quests.
One would assume that the players have become better through experience...and I don't know much about the programming involved, but it would seem that rewarding those who have already completed them would be pretty easy this way.
I personally would be happy with one or two points, it doesn't have to be alot, the more quests we complete the better players we can be.

Mandalorian armor, hehe
But really, maybe make mandalorian armor with differences form boba's/jango's (diff color, not as good statwise, etc.) It would make boba unique and no boba wannabes would be running around. And it could be a reward for completing jabbas themepark (Heard something about new rewards/badges being added to themparks)
Christ this is a long thread...my 2 cents:
There is plenty of material that could be used for quest rewards without infringing on the crafter territory.
Skill enhancing software (which doesn't drop anywhere near often enough).
Component pieces (which drop off mobs and would also make good quest loot).
Decorations (there is a good bit of this, but could be more...everyone wants there house to look good...please add a function for changing height of an item)
Badges (since you are supposed to be able to have hundreds and there are only 5 in game atm, this should be addressed)
One thing would be to make ALL quest NPC's faction neutral...I know that anytime I have to deal with a thug it is a pain to peace him out long enough to talk to him.
