You see this is the problem right here, half-explanations given every once in a blue moon.
Frankly even if SOE intended the best for us in this patch, it's been ruined by a refusal to communicate on your part.

Having to wait to get my visit, while grinders move to the front of the line is plain folly and nothing short of discrimination. My money is just as good as the next players. Yet im punished and forced to wait an indeterminate amount of time because I didnt grind. If server stabilty is the issue then all old man visits should be random. And grinders can get their reward when they get to the village. I guess because I played this game from an rpg standpoint, my money is not as good as someone who saw professions as just a stepping stone to the next profession.
I dont understand the culture you have created here. This process is insulting.

Well, I didn't hologrind at all - in fact, I've never owned a holocron, except for a Sith Holo that I keep as a decoration. I've done 5 professions in the year I've been playing - Tailor, Merchant, Marksman, Teras Kasi, and Artisan, and there's no way that I hit all 5 holo-professions by blind luck. But, I've done all the POIs and have enough other badges to be "one with the force", so I qualify under the new system.
Well, which is it?
To be clear:
more crap thatcan't be quoted...
you calling this being clear enough for all the complaints you currently have on the forums?

I'm happy about the changes and look forward to taking part in the new content even though I don't necessarily intend on becoming a jedi.
Well done devs.
Well done devs.

new system, then it will depend on if you have met all the requirements.
To be clear:
new path before publish 10.

Ok I am a bit confused... a normal state of mind for me
... what exactly is the NEW WAY? I have read and reread and don't see a reference before this post by you.
Is it the 'GLowy" business or is it still how many holos you have mastered. I was not a holo grinder because along time ago SWG said there would be another way. Is this the WAY you are illuding to?
Please help a poor blonde figure this out, my account hangs in the balance...
Hmm sorry before I posted it the thread police said some of your quote was invalid HTML?!?!

It seems alot of you people haven't been actually
playing this game for a long time, expecting immediate
responses to gripes and complaints. Now I realize that some
of the arguments are valid, I beleive I have a few that carry
some weight. The thing to do, is start with the little information
jabs, then lead up to the wanton flaming and account-cancel
threats. So what we need to do, is concentrate on the little things
first, as in is it POI badges to get glowy, or only certian perhaps
other badges? And does it vary by player?
Once we get everything of that nature sorted out, we can move
onto the limitless gripes everyone seems to have when something
is upgraded short of the point giving everyone they want exactly
when they want it. We still don't have cool jedi robes up to most
peoples standards, but that is something that will come in time
as will all the fixes needed. So TH, if ya spend enough time to read
this, how about throwing an old player a bone, because i could be
cruisin around in my AV hitting waypoints instead of wandering
through all these people that think MMoRPG's are console games.

Anybody else think the level of interaction with the devs here needs to improve dramatically?
A lot of stress could be avoided if you plainly spell out what's needed and what isn't. You may think it to be spoon feeding us, but when you make a complicated method to work out who Santa visits and who he doesn't, then put a vague explanation on top you should expect these things.
It would be nice, but it was this way in beta, and its been this way ever since. Welcome to SWG...

It's hardly a wonder then that there are so many problems with this game.

the way to get glowy is bascially badges. Ben's house, exar kun, jedi temple, warren badge, libraran. prof badges help oh and themeparks, but it varies for each person on when you turn glowy

Well, instead of becoming a fun game where the players and developers want to work together for an all around better game. The devs want to make it a "Us vs Them" type scenario.

An MMORPG is by definition a constantley evolving game.
Frankly I'm amazed that SWG has run this long with such bad communication with the developers, such a thing is in my mind vital.
Such is the case here, where vague posts have lead to mass confusion and anger. We have a right to expect a prompt explanation on at least this, if not for anything other than because Thunderheart instigated it with his poor explanation.

If I wear hawpants and a sports bustier, do my odds of encountering the Old Man increase?
