PS Lock down the terrain issue... Combat wouldnt be so lame if we couldnt shoot through hills or mountains, and terrain could be used for cover if this occured. I understand with the way the game was set up with Spawning and house placement and harvesters etc, that the terrain im sure has to be adaptable in code.. but you all having the cutting edge of technology at your finger tips.. when are we going to see it locked down, battles would be so much more intense in all aspects, PvP and PvE would be engaging. TY

How is this all different than a player being an overt imp, dressing up in trooper armor, and getting promotions through faction points? And how would you unlock this slot? By doing imp stuff? its sort of pointless to make a profession out of a character you can already play, especially when it has more benefits the way it is now.

1 - The bank should be used to store items only. It is pointless to have credits in it. A long time ago in a game far far away it may have served a purpose, but now all it accomplishes is falsified bank transfer emails and inconvience.


2 - make regular /tips give a pop up window saying it was a tip, to stop false emoted tip messages

Fried_Yoda (Dig the name) No your rong in thinking there is no diffrance. And there is no unlock for it. Just have it a open option.


I look at this game for option. Adding a stormtrooper slot somthing you can't play anyway unless you want to comit you one character per server slot to it. Somthing I really don't want to do. But would like to play s a stormtroops for more Rolplaying reason and I don't want to shell out for a secound account.


You don't seem to look at the hole picture on what can be added to the idea of letting us the players have a somthing fun to just play with. Thats right Fried_yoda. I want toys. I am a big kid who injoys my SWG's toy box and I want to have a Stormtrooper to play on my server with out forcing my main to be one. Is that so wrong?


You miss the point of the idea. It's to add and have fun. that is the diffrance.




Remember, It's not just a game. It's a monthly Expence.

It would be nice if we could get schematics for the current faction armor (stormtrooper/marine) so that armorsmiths could experiment and make them better. I think alot more people would use faction armor in PvP if the resist gets better also i think this would greatly increase the star warsyness of the game.

heresome ideas:


1).....imagine, an imperial player overt can scana covert rebel with a droid, and can make him overt if he use ilegal things.

that system is good for the RP, for the fun and make one more interest to be imperial..the empire need more people so need more interest..all players want to be in the "good" side...

that system need limite like : only in cantina, starport, medical center..etc..i duno..player can use only 5 scan per day? i duno..but need a limit of course.


2).......as well, a system like the BH for the jedi BUT for the imperial players.

here the exemple : a rebel killed too much imperial or something, he get a sort of "TEF" and can be reported in an imperial mission terminal, and can be find with a sort of searching droid..or he can be reported directly in all the imperial searching droids.


3).....for the imperial, the scout armor should be added.


4)....that game need really really more "dungeon"..more sor of "tusken fort", more place with or without quest inthere. the different planets are so big and so bored for the adventurers...need more DIFFERENT caverns, etc..

with different mobs, and better boss.


5)....THE thing i really miss when i remember the mmorpg i played, is the LOOT.

that game really need more loot. rare special vehicule, rare GOOD weapon, more armor modifier, rarespecial clothes...there re so many things u can added.

A player looking for something that nobody have to be the only or the best one..thats why so many people try to be jedi, cause there nothing exept that....


6).... The combat medic poison are really too strong, so they break the gameplay in the battle..CM, and the TK knock down have to be changed!


7)....the doctor buff are really too strong, an unbuffed player has absolutly no chance ..and thats bored. so all people choose rifle cause its the only possibility to kill a buffed player..im carbiner...i duno what i can i do really in the battle. anyway, i cant do anything, cause i got a Combat medic poison on my mind all the time.

Ive looked and i guess this is the best place to say this...


But ive been wanting to suggest that we could get mission terminals revamped, i think if we could have more options in choosing our missions it would be nice.

ie: be able to choose direction instead if searching for 20 minutes to find 2 in the same direction.

and if we could mabey choose what were hunting for, like if i wanted to hunt grual maulers, then i could specify that as long as they were on that planet.

and mabey we could choose like 3 or 4 missions instead of 2, to save travel time, and spend more time hunting


i dont know if this has been suggested already but oh well

i know this has probably been mentioned a million times,


but in addition to the usual wishlist of wanting useful utility droids (not lvl10 droidekas. what about droids that can scan for resources? droids that report creatures stalking you? droids that can repair things? droids that actually heal you? droids that translate languages for you?)


i would really like to have the ability to name my droid something like "RF-77" or "R4D5". every droid in the star wars movie had a number in its name. every droid in star wars galaxies is named "timmy" or "skuzzbucket".

I posted this originally in the politician forum, got five-starred, but no one added any comments. I thought I would repost it here so that more people may be able to see whether they think this is a good starting point to try to make politician more playable on a daily basis and to give player events more exposure! Here is the original post:


To have Master Politician's be more useful after a city is completely set up, I think it would be great if Politician's could have an active role in Player-held events in game. It would perhaps give Politicians a reason to keep the profession after they reach master thus allowing politicians to be more functional as part of a player city and giving them a rich content cool gameplay feature too.


Examples of a PlayerEvent:

Festivals, Weddings, Trade Shows, Dueling Contests, Dances, Big Faction Meetingsetc.


Premise:

We all know the Politicians in real life love to take credit for large events and be on hand for the ceremonies (they are always mugging for the cameras). So why not have it be the same in game where having Master Politician allows you to more easily run player held events at your city? Player events at cities could be a great way to get exposure for a city, gain revenue frompeople buying stuff while there,getting people to come and have fun in game, etc.


Politician Commands and Abilities Granted:


  • /declarefestival allows for registry of event time, global registry, type of event, etc.You can type /declarefestival and modify times and dates up until the event actually begins. Afterwards /declare event is enabled unless you cancel the event.
  • Declaring an Event would be independant of your city's specialization. When some enters the city it could read as follows: You have entered [city's name]. The [village/city/metropolis] of [city's name] welcomes you to the following event: [master politician has the ablility to enter in the name of the event here when declaring the event].
  • You can set festival prices for entry into a cityto raise revenues (much like an enterance fee on houses, it ejects you if you dont pay).
  • Events could have a limit timer to space outevents to keep them rare, fun, and of quality. Each would also have an increasing monetary cost for the bigger the size = more costs to pull it off.

    • Personal Events: such as weddings. Canhost every 7 days
    • City Events: for residents only. Can host twice a month
    • Planetary/Global Events: for all who wish to participate: every 30 days to keep them rare.

  • A special architect crafted deed that can be placed in a city anytime during a event but will disappear after the event is over. Perhaps several different types depending on whether the event is a wedding, a dueling event etc. This deed would contain terminals where you can buy some of the features below.


Special Event Only Bonuses:


  • Buffs, heals, and wound treatment could be given a 10% bonus during the festival.
  • Musicians would be able to purchase a limited song that can be auniquetuneonly playedwhilethe festival lasts.
  • Dancers would be able purchase a unique dance to be used only during the event.
  • Image Designers would be able to get a few more colors perhaps "face painting" and a few extra hair styles.
  • Allow for an option to list the event on the global map and an option to list it in the festival directory.
  • Players who type /festival on any planet should be able to get a pop up window showing the day's events server wide.
  • Allow for a raffle terminal where people cansubmit their name and try to win "door prizes".

If anyone else has ideas they'd like to add please do! The better refined an idea like this can be the more fun and potential it can have if implemented into the game!

Here is an idea for the devs to chew on. How about letting us revert to previously held skills without having to regrind it. Now this ability should come with a timer to avoid exploiting but I dont think it would be out of hand to let us revert back to a previously held skill set. I know there are some mmorpg's that will let you do this. This would make a lot of hologrinders (like myself) happy as well. Anyway, i have noticed my posting on a thread seems to be the death of the threadas far as dev responses, hehe, sorry folks.
