Th,

What happens to the few or many of us who have the 2 badges that are available? I have had recieved so many /tells regading my Altruism and Intellect badges. Are you guys going to steal them from me?

My point is, I spent hours trackng them down and have them. Are you guys going to remove them from players who have them? Or will you change the badge to say something else making my time spent absolutely worthless? I feel you should do something to honor the people who spent the time needed to find these. You claim to honor the hologrinders with credit toward jedi in the new system. Why not honor us? I want my credit toward the quest and I would also love if my badges differed slightly so people would know that I had spent time finding them when the quest was hard to find.

If you have the badges alread, you keep them. You can earn them again if you like. The new badges will be the same as the old one and the quest won't be gated in any way. The honor however, will have to come from within.

Maybe the spawn should be random again. Just let people know it's random. I like this idea instead of the static location. There is no reason to make these easy to get.

They're all half-static and half-random

Go talk to a guy who sends you to find a "wandering __________", and he triggers the rest of the quest

antares_Kauri, let me echo your sentiment: let the records hereby state that I have the pre-Publish 9 Intellect and Altruism badges, which took a total of more than a month of searching for me to achieve. Finding and completing these spawns was the most rewarding thing I've ever done in SWG.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

The whole badge subject could have been so much more interesting....Keep the POI tab however...have it empty to start. Make the waypoints emailable and when you add one from email like any other waypoint they show up in the POI tab. This would make people browse other people looking for places they had not encountered yet.

Imagine how a stealthed in new POI from the devs could excite all the servers. Someone is out exploring and wham they get the message they found a POI but this POI is one no one has seen yet...As word gets out there is more excitement as a new location is confirmed...

TH,

I really, really hope that with this "revamp" of the quest doesnt make my time spent doing a BROKEN quest all for not. All we are asking is for us Vet's who put in the time and effort to get the credit we are justly due. Saying that the quest was to hard to do is only a cop out for poor/broken game design. The quest was broke. Peroid. Not that I ever expect anyone important toadmit that, just dont cheapn it more by making it something that can be done in a single night after SO many of us spent countless hours trying to complete it when it was broke.

Maybe you should actually test out the quest on the Test Center before you go around accusing Developers of creating broken quests?

The Hero of Tatooine quest was added to the game before launch and was driven primarily by dynamic spawns using the POI system. As it turned out, due to the POI system behavior, this quest was difficult to complete.Too difficult in fact.Even still, this quest was a popular quest that players wanted to experience, so in Publish 9, the adventure known by players as "The Hermit's Quest" will be completely revamped. If you've played the quest before, don't be lulled into a sense of "I've done this before" because the adventure has new elements that must be completed to gain the five badges: Mark of Altruism, Mark of Intellect, Mark of Courage, Mark of Honor and the Mark of the Hero.

/applaud.

Well done in bringing these quests back. I hope that you didn't make this quest "easy" to do now by putting it in a fixed location. I for one enjoyed the fact that it was hard. Please tell us that you didn't water it down, because the difficulty was part of the prestige!

Are you insane? Youre making the quests easier? Thats just so sad. They were extremely hard to get, and thats what the reward was. I remember searching for hours and hours (probably a total of 50 or so hours) for the Intellect and Altruism badges, and never found them. But it was still really fun looking for them. Why are you making them easier? Why? This is so lame man, now everyone and their dog will have these badges, theyll be like POI badges....oh well, it was funwhile it lasted =(. I just hope theyre not that easy.

The original poster was referring to the countless hours we all spent doing a BROKEN quest last fall/winter. He's not talking about the current version of the quest.
