The Jedi Trials (Publish 10) will completely put an end to the Hologrind as a method of achieving Force Sensitivity; and put a quest-based system in its place. Another hot topic with the players is how those that have been grinding away, but have not yet reached Force Sensitivity, will be compensated. Basically we are going to take the proportion of completion that players are at, and allow them to advance more rapidly through a proportional amount of the quests. It will be fair and it will be fun!

my questions:

1. Will pre-badge proffesion masteries be considdered in the holo-grind compensation?

2. What will the criteria be for being considdered a vetran?

Hi my first post on this board but thinkits such a good idea.. id like some back up.... so if you like it bark up!

How come in the age of holo facilities do the starports + shuttleports not have little R2 units beside the 3p0s projecting "2 mins 15 secs" till next shuttle?? etc etc in real time?

HOLOGRAPHIC- SHUTTLE TIMES !!!!!

Surely in the game, this is such a simple piece of programming. The shuttles have set points in time to land anyhow regarding everyone.. so a simple display for everyone to see rotating mid air above head heightwould function two fold.

People are enraged enough at not having the option to wait anyhow.. but if they can see the time till next shuttle displayed will save them running right up to the 3p0 and radial dial click.. I "/shout" it as an idea at starports as an idea.. and everyone loved it... this is star wars where r2d2 relayed the holo message from the princess and im sure most Rstyle droids must have a clock facility.

Even have a side to side scrolling shuttle arrival time outside the starports!!

lets see this implemeted ?? please

(also can you deal with the dissapearing pets in battle bug thats been around since the year dot also??)

thanks for the most addictive game ive everplayed(but as a side not - it has lots of frustrations too causing stress that only just equal its greatness)

Publish #9: Secrets of the Force

  • Complete overhaul of the Jedi system - close attention should be paid to how the mission BRIEFINGS are WORDED- they currently offer no information on the jedi 's rank or skill and a MASTER jedi should offer a higher bounty than an INITIATE for example. The jedi offline status and TARGET NOT ONLINE bugs need to be addressed as soon as possible. With bounty hunter terminals we should expect to see mission bounties offer progressively higher payments for each successful bounty completed in view of their rising rep, not a flat rate for each box of investigation filled in. When I see jedi apprentices walking around cities selling goods for millions of credits/waving lightsabres aroundvisibility should increase/stromtroopers should start to appear askikng questions. These issues are a lot more pressing than cosmetic enhancements and fluff like texture mapped paintings as quest rewards in my opinion.
  • Character Transfer System
  • Hermit Quest fixes
  • Smuggler revamp
  • Player City Missions

So, uh, when is the most important part of the game, Combat, going to be adressed? I saw no publish number. Does this mean it will be publish 12/13? If so, the devs are making a huge mistake. Devoting 2 publishes to an extreme minority (jedi) is just plain stupid. The most important part of the game is combat (and by relation PvP). It should be adressed first and foremost.

Remember what 'ole Spock said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

In other words, combat (which almost everyone takes part it) should be more important than Jedi.

Your dates are pretty accurate... however the Space expansion will take a bit of time where we are fully integrating Space and Live, so your projection on that date may be a bit off.

So are you saying we have to wait for November/December to see the combat publish? That is really going to hurt the game. I'll wager when WoW and other games come out this one will sink like a brick.

Since by some error of this broken forum system I cannot edit my posts, I hereby retract my above statement. However, I would like to point out that in the letter it says that the combat balance will take 2 publishes, but it does not say when.

The combat revamp is sheduled for Publish 10. Also, I don't think the Jedi Revamps affect only a minority. Publish 10 will change the way to become Jedi and also allows minor force sensivity, which will affect everyone.

I think the letter is pretty cool...one of these each month and I keep playing

Thanks for pointing that out, I did not read the projected patch notes, or whatever you'd call them.

Making everyone somewhat force sensitive, in my opinion, is a mistake. That is totally inconsistent with the star wars we all know. Out of all the characters in the movies, who is force sensitive? Yoda, Kenobi, Luke, Lea, Vader, and the Emperor. The thought of everyone and their brother being sensitive sickens me.

there are some pretty interesting things in there!

Like the rewards/exclusive ship idea.

Any chance the European players can get a definitive answer on LtJ Expansion coming out at the same time as the US release?

Cheers
