I feel really bad about convincing my cousin to buy this game now...I figured by the time he registered, the game would be fixed. This really sucks...

Wow, it sucks being a 'fire fighter' developer. Looks like ya'll need to hire some more folks and re-align your priorities.

What I am reading in this is that the combat balance isn't as high a priority on their list as it is the players. So TH, how long do you expect people to hang around playing your broken product while living on broken promises? We are being harvested for FSR by the favored Jedi and now you tell us just to be cattle for them longer, all I have to say is you must have cajones the size of bowling balls to pull this on people now.

Noooo....don't give even more love to Jedis.....or move the timline to another point, then I can live with that
the GCW is what's all about at this thime in Star Wars, not being a Jedi but being a part of the GCW
hell....all the Jedi-lovers got what they wanted because they whined....now I'm whining because the real important things were delayed again

man you really borked it up this time. Your focusing on the jedi profession put us "normies" a high disadvantage. There are way too many professions that are broken that needs to be fixed and you holding off on the combat balance issue isnt going to help your cause. Your gonna see a mass exodus leaving the game now because of this. Ive played for over a year and i stuck through alot of BS to get to this point. But when you hit publish 9 things went to hell. I dont even know if i want to pay my 15 bucks a month anymore.

awesome, they're getting jtl perfect, launching it, then getting both teams together to work on the GCW and CB, and doubling the amount of work able to do in a time period. that's how i see it and i think its great that they're taking their time.
way too much negativity in this community, enjoy what u have and enjoy it as it improves peice by peice. (swoop tracks = awesome.)
You really believe that?
who cares!!!! The fact things like this get worked on while so many professions are broken makes this delay a nail in the coffin for so many people.

Um, that really didn't answer my question.
Could someone post a link to the info on this?
It's consists of a database dump of your character's current stats and maybe equipment and restoring that character to a different server. It's about 10 seconds or so worth of work for a simple script to do, maybe 5 minutes if it's a human doing it for you. SOE has already established with EQ that this is *not* a free service, you will pay to move your character to a different server and probably you'd have to pay more to get your equipment transferred with them.
A day or three of macroing will re-roll most characters and there are already people offering inter-server item trades.

In other words, the Jump to Lightspeed is the only way for you guys to make more money by selling more copies of software that have high profit margins and getting new subscribers. Thanks for putting thesubscribers who have kept you in a job for the last year second and your own profits first. Your customer serviceis terribleand your lack of concern for customers shows once again. I hope nobody buys yourexpansion and that youtake heavy losses because of your known low level of concern for customer satisfaction.

Thunderheart,I hope you realize how many subscribing customers you just lost with this announcement. I'd comment further, but most of it's already been said.
