Ok now that that is out of my system, while I can appreciate what your trying to do, it is not what I hoped for. It is however, what is, and I don't think it's going to change so we'll have to make the best of it. I guess we'll need re-compile issues for our respective professions.

TH - All I gotta say is you just lowered the subscriber list in this game, by a lot. Putting the Jedi trials ahead of the broken things, to create more broken things, is the dumbest decision ever.

I and most the community probably think that there already enough jedi running all over the damn place and trying to put jedi trials in front of the combat balance probably made many people PISSED OFF. The jedi can trials can wait because as it is there are already too many.

TH I thought you said you guys have been workin on it. How hard can it be to type out everything you already have coded. OHHH wait mabey you guys never really started because as it it you guys never talked about it. TH I am not bringing it down on you or blaming you, but i think a team of monkeys are better than this dev team. The decision you mentioned is the worse decision made in history. Its worse than the decision of going to war with Iraq.

TH I think you and the Dev team need to do some serious thinking and organization on how much of the time you guys are actually doing, I say the Dev team should discuss it over and make it actually work,fun,balanced, and most of all makes sense for the combat system. Then start giving us feedback on what you guys did and then let us as a community say what you need to add get rid of, or fix up.

As of now TH the Dev team has convinced me to drop my account in 2 weeks and not come back until June of next year.

Im not the only one who will probably drop thier account.

All i can say a miracle can fix the Devs minds and this game.

I have stuck with this game too long and have seen some stupid decisions be made by the devs.

Combat Balance will now be at least 1 year late if it goes live in November (we were told the CB would start in November 2003 for 3 months).

Yes. I'll be working with all of you and the correspondents to identify the most important changes and work with the team to add them.







Good job TH!

Just as an encouragement, and it would be great if you could pass this on to the other Devs and coders. You guys are doing a great job. And I'm very glad that you guys are delaying the combat balance. It is much better to do something right and later, than to do it now and horribly.
I hope you guys manage to read this message in the midst of all the other negative ones floating around.

I fully agree. Unless it is to make a copy and not a complete transfer. Or else it is going to be used to consolidate the servers or something.

The Character Transfer System means that you'll be able to Transfer your Character between servers (ie. from Eclipse to Bria) for a small fee.

No allow you to move your char from one server to another for a few In everquest it was 50 bucks and you lost all items and money.

The development cycle still has momentum and we still have some other important items, big and small, coming out of the pipeline.Here is what still lies ahead:




  • Before publish 10, we plan on launching the character transfer system


  • In Publish 9.2 We’re publishing Wookiee armor sets #2 and #3, new crafting quests and the second swoop race


  • Publish 9.3 will bring us the third swoop race

OK - on the entertainer thing. This is *not* the best use of developer time. The number of dedicated entertainers in the game is very small - and while I appreciate the fact that they deserve new content as much as anyone, you've just posted that you don't have enough time to fix the core game properly.


Shelf the entertainer publish and work on things that are most critical to the most people. This is triage at this point - treat the most critical problems first.

I am not going to buy JTL until the Smuggler profession is fixed, be it within JTL itself or after JTL is released. I'm also encouraging friends RL not to buy the game either, because your current game doesn't work and you're just going to add more shoddy work to an already broken system. How in the hell can you add more features to the game when you're already going to be overhauling several major systems within it right afterwards? It's an arse-backwards approach.

This game has a long and hard road to becoming the "finest MMORPG ever."

Wow, this annoucement totally deflated me. I don't envy your jobs TH, Q or G. I know you want to get JTL right, but Combat Balance is more of a core than an add on.
