Okay...here's the story (which I'll be posting to the TC bug thread, getting to Vandessa, etc.)...

Planet: Naboo

City: NU (cantina, specifically)
Time: approx. 1-1:30 AM CST (11-11:30 PM PST)

Toon: Valyss

The other person involved: Eddard


The setup:

I was in need of some training (Ranged Sup. 2/3 and Carbines 4). So, I dawdled over to NU cantina and found that Eddard could do it. We attempted to group...


The problem:

When he invited me, I did get into the group. However, there also appeared to be an R2 droid that was showing up in the group....but out of range. Apparently, this wasn't real, since Eddard later told me that he had droids...but they were stored. If he attempted to group/train me, he got a message (I believe, he can confirm) that I was already in a group.

So....no training. I never got any of teaching request from him.

So, we disbanded and tried again. Same thing. The R2 unit showed up as being in the group, and out of range. Hmmm...reproducable. Yuckies.


Note: He current has 2 droids. An R2 Helper droid and another unnamed R2 droid that my alt (Doughbacca) had made for him.


The bypass:

We were able to get around this by having him call his non-Helper R2 droid, then store it. I then invited him. At this point, the mysterious R2 droid did NOT show up as grouped and/or out of range. He was able to train me.

If he was the one that sent the group invite, however, the R2 droid would always show up immediately in the group (no invite was made) and out of range.



Anyone else heard of anything even marginally like this?

Eddard here just wanted to expand more on TheRealTK421's description of the problem.

This bug might have occured due to Naboo crashing. Here's a description of the problem preceeding the bug.

Was hunting with 3 other people, was not group leader, and had my 110 medical capacity droid (R2 unit) grouped with us so I could craft stims while hunting. During that time the server shut down for ~30sec.After everyone got back in game we proceeded to put up a PA hall and start a guild, I am the guild leader. Guild hall was also placed on Naboo.

The group broke up when everyone else logged for the night. I proceeded to the NU cantina for training in Pharm 4 and Master Medic. I was able to join groups with anyone else with no problems.

When I tried to invite someone to group with me and train them, I recieve no confirmation that they were grouped with me. My droid had already autostored itself awhile back but for some reason it appeared in the invitee's groupalong with myself.

While that person was grouped with me I could join a group with anyone else and they were still grouped with me.

I logged off for 8 hoursand upon return the bug was still in effect. The only way to clear this problem was to have someone invite me to the group and then make me the leader of the group. After this everything appears to have been fixed itself.

If the Naboo server crashes again I'll attemp to repeat this again.
