Getting something from the Junk Dealers in a quest like setting would be a great idea. It is easier to see stuff to other players than to go to the Junk dealers. I have not been playing long and I used to go and try to sell them things.... I could not get them to take my stuff and got discourage. I now have a broken land speeder I got off of another played and it was broken from the start. I would like to sell it. Or hand it to the junk dealer and pay for them to fix it even.... fix broken stuff for you?

If every single "junk dealer" in the game was removed today, would anyone cry Nerf?

I think not.

Tips:

-Increase payouts

-Increase Functionality (redeed droids, equipment, vehicles, pets and maybeHigh % success weapon/armor repair)

These 2 items would make Junk Dealers a fundamental part of the game and make many players happy.

They removed the junk dealers? Cool! Now remove the person(s) who decided this would be a good idea in the first place. Or better yet move them to the department (new department, because this dosent exist) of people who respond to the player base and communicate with them on a daily basis.

The only problem I've had with the system is that if I don't have an item in inventory that the dealer wants, then I get no indication of what it is he collects. I still haven't found anything that the junk conneseur on the west end of Tyrena will take

Other than that, Its worked out well for me. Had a friend open 25 locked containers for me, and was able to make about 3k on the junk found inside. i know it isn't much, but I always feel bad about imersion when i junk something because my inventory is full.
