Star Wars is full of creatures, you just have to open your eyes. I didn't say that Star Wars wasn't "full of creatures", I said creature mounts were not the preferred form of transport and I stand by that. For the 'technologically advanced' parts of Star Wars, vehicles were the first choice - heck, even that poor, backwater, hick Luke had a landspeeder. Mounts had their places - but those places were usually dictated by economics or special conditions.

EXACTLY!!!

Dathomire mounts are used (Rancor mounts), Tat Mounts are used because of the sand that gets into the mechanics of vehicles makeing them harder to maintiain. Courscant is a techno beheamth so there is little to no remaining wildlife left. There are certain places that mounts are used more than vehicles and so it should be with this game!! Certain cultures also shy away from vehicles.

Little known fact about banthas they form a bond with their riders. If a tuskan ever died their bantha usually went crazy and had to be killed. If a tuskan's bantha died they went into the desert to die, or bond with another bantha, (if their dead bantha "willed" it) So technically no matter how cool they are there should be no bantha mounts.

So, instead of giving mounts artificial bonuses(running up hills faster than aanti-grav speeder that isn't affected as much by terrain as a bi or quadraped running ON the ground) - why not just make repair costs higher and condition loss greater for vehicles on planets like Tatooine, to reflect the fact that vehicles take more wear-and-tear there and cost more to fix?

Bounty hunter is one of the defining professions of the star wars universe. It has been unbalanced in favor of every other combat profession in the game, and some that shouldnt even be combat professions but are.

These guys have been waiting long enough. No other profession in the game has suffered as many nerfs already as this profession. Many people join this game to play as bounty hunters only to be really disappointed in the results of their game play.

I have known enough bounty hunters in my day to say this: This profession should be one of the bars in this game. It is a great concept implemented poorly, and with a little love could be a major selling point of the product.

The fact that as a master BH you can barely survive fights against others if you are really good is just a bad way to envision this profession. I see them as very powerful, very effective hunters of humanoids. One on one there should be no profession outside Jedi that can compete with these guys. They should be better equipped, as the SW BH uses every available piece of technology they can get their hands on to gain and maintain an edge.

They should be very well rewarded, as both the bounty hunter and the smugglerare inthe most dangerous situations, and therefore most rewarded professions. This only makes sense.

Upon Space Expansion, both Smugglers and Bounty Hunters should have a special edge in space combat, and special abilities to modify their spacecraft to accomodate their individual needs as professions. This should include special visual modifications to their spacecraft as well, to make them unique over and above other professions.

A lot of sacrifices are made in Bounty Hunter in particular: these MUST be rewarded, or the profession is a waste of a great deal of time.

As a TKA, my perspectives of the star wars universe are violated in-game as a result of many of the problems that have arisen in the development of both the smugglers and the bounty hunters. In both cases, I feel as if these two professions' problems are making my game play worse, because their existence as relatively useless additions to the star wars saga here is gating my ability to view the game from a perspective of contiunity.

Without these 2 working properly, in a manner that is equal to form with the star wars saga in its writeen and film versions, this game will never realize its great potential.

Because of this, I think its high time that the developers saw the bounty hunter for what it truly is, and get this in the game as soon as possible. Lets get the bounty hunters addressed finally please.

This may have already been asked or may not even be heard but here is my idea! Why can we not get artisans to build vehicle repair kits for the times that we r hunting on planets without garages. I mean the animals can sometimes destroy your vehicle and it really sucks to have to walk back to a star port and fly to another place to get your vehicle repaired and waste half of your buff by the time its all said and done and finally fixed. So this was just a thought and in no way to assist any class over another so what do u guys think?

Devs, why not take some polls on the starport wait issue? You could manage this easily within the forums so we can all see the percentage of people that want starportwait times at 10 minutes and starport wait times at 5 minutes.

I personally think that the 10 minute wait is too long and that there is no immersion taking place.

Thanks.

that might be a little scewed since many people have five or six accounts, and I don't think the devs are usually interested in raw numbers, but the actual content of the opinions held...

Okay, my FAMILY has 7 accounts and we all use them. I'm the only one that posts on the forums however.

We ALL want to log onto the game and play it, not stare at the ticket taker.

The other night I had 2 hours to play. Resources shifted. 1 hour 15 minutes of that play time was spent in spaceports. It was not fun, I did not care about "immersion" and I missed a really good set of hunts because I had basically 45 minutes to survey and plant for 3 resoures on 3 planets. I save ALL my 9 minute and up screenshots at the ticket holder. I have over 24 that actually say 10 minutes and 0 seconds.

10 minutes <> FUN

I did not say that I do not agree that something should be done about the travel times. I simply said that a forums poll might be skewed.

I saw that we veterans are going to get some special items and smth about an exclusive SHIP IN JtLS?!?!?! o.O

MY QUESTION: Will those of use that bought the Special Edition of the Core Game have any sort of cool thing, in JtLS, similar to the 3 unique and exclusive Visors that we have in the Core Game?

thanks alot

When will the Ranger profession recieve any amount of attention or response? Does anyone from SOE, HOLOCRON or otherwise even acknowledge this professions existence anymore or if any of it concerns are being discussed at least? I would post this on the Ranger forum but I don't think it would have been noticed.

Maybe you find it ok TH that you left us alone in the Dark, but maybe you also notice that more and more people leave the game! our neighbor city has around 10 players from 120 left ! our PA is down to 5 man from 50 ! Its you Money you Destroy not ours.

I've cross-posted this in the Ranger forum. I apologize to those who have already read it.

Hi, all,

I am very dismayed to find that I now have to place my traps in the top layer of my inventory in order to throw them. This takes up too much room, in my opinion. I prefer having my traps, tools, and powerups in an inner pack, leaving plenty of room for armor, "civvies," stacks of organics, weapons, and emergency rations on top.

In a "realistic" sense I can see that it would be inconvenient to dig through one's belongings to find a trap and throw it. On the other hand, where do I keep my swoops and pets? I pull them out my bum, it seems.

I may be a pack rat, but I object to having my inventory managed this way.

OK, whats going on with:

1. The expected change to 5 minute wait for ships, and then being surprised by 10 min. at starports. Why do the devs like to waste our valuable time? What is more important in our busy lives in today's stressed out world (RL) than our time? So out of touch and disconnected from ... *scream*

2. Why did our pets stop following? What happened and when will it be fixed?

3. What is the deal with repairing vehicles after every outing, multiple times per day? They can build starships but they cant build a bike that will last a freakin week? It's too expensive and too frequent. More stress, more worries, more monitoring, more work, and it all adds up to less fun! What's wrong with having to repair a vehicle after about a week's time at least?, and for REASONABLE tune-up costs?

4. Fraud. Getting ripped off by players should notbe tolerated. Had an instance this week where someone sold me a bogus AV-21 power unit for $1M. This is my first time being ripped off, and I learned from it, and I got my money back through 2 hours of being harrassed by the perp and threatening to report him, but lets look at CSR's SOE response. I acted immediately with a knowledge base search, and reported a ticket, explaining that I had screenshots of the perp's admission and disdain, and I had the part, with his name as the "crafted by." Doh on me for not checking that in the trade. But here's the rub, they will not accept screenshots as evidence, as if somehow I'm going to be able to fabricate an ingame window conversation clearly demonstrating guilt, but OK!, also, they require some kind of /report function that captures the last 100 lines of text conversation, and which despite a debate by Holo Ticket with numerous explanations by the representative and the unclear knowledge base explanation of the /report function, I still to this day do not understand how to properly use the /report function. Do I use my name or the perps? When do I have to do it for anyone to ACT ON IT? During the transaction? Or during the admission of guilt during chat? Both? Finally, the perp was such a fool that with the crafted part in hand, any CSR could have used it to get an admission of guilt by the peep in question, but because it didn't follow this /report protocol, they refused to even try. I am telling you right now that they could have gotten this guy to admit what he did, and still could. But instead this creep who harrased me every step of two hours before i got my money back is still among us on the server.

TH,

Two things:

1) Can you tell us why on the SE pics the all TIE engine flaresare showing on the reactor and not on either side as they should be. Any chance this can be corrected or an explaination giving for the continuity change.

2) Re: the harvesting and trapping modules. Rangers and Scouts have given the developers a long list of the things we actually want. Why therefore are you adding things we have not asked for and we we're never consulted about especially given the amount of effort that was put into the proposals.
