Shift focus away from new content and concentrate more on fixing the things that have been broken since launch, and in some cases since Beta 3!

The longer some of these launch bugs remain in, the more some people who've been using them will scream "nerf!" when they're fixed, instead of "hey great, it's working properly now!" I think that in some cases that's already happened (witness the CH screams when their days of having three rancors out at once came to an end, or when the Probot was brought into line).

Oh, additionally--since it seems so many elements of the game can't be fixed without potentially breaking other parts of the game, because the game mechanics can be so intermeshed, it behooves the dev team to finally iron things out, instead of further complicating things with new content.

I don't think it's too hard to see that with too many layers of content some broken things might never be fixed because it's too costly an option, in terms of fixing the new things that might break as a result.

Can we PLEASE get some more information and the feedback threads on the DE changes?

There are a bunch of people with serious issues with the current plan (ex: strapping guns on R2's and 3P0 that never had them in any of the movies or lore; turning DE's into CHs even though no one asked for that), but there is so much speculation about what is actually changing that no one can talk intellegently about it.

I also feel we are being dealt a great disservice, because the devs have been clear that they are pushing the changes for February, and we are entering mid-January. There was barely time enough to comment when the focusthreads were supposed to be posted last week, let alone when they finally get posted in the next week (or 2 at the rate we are going).

How is anyone supposed to give meaningful feedback days before the publishes go live, and well after the devs have finished their coding (thereby making it too late)?

My top 5 priorities:

1. More droids...more droids....more droids

2. Fix the laaaaaaaggggg around cities. It has gotten worse in the last 2 months or so.

3. Increased Imperial presence.

4. Balance professions. I'm tired of the profession of the month. (also fix some professions so they are more usefull)

5. Please give some better loot. Especially in theme parks.

1.There are a ton of items in NPC houses that we can't have in our's. These items should be craftable. Espessialy RUGS!!!!!

2. More types of clothing.

3. Bio Eng skill tapes!

4. Vehicles that can be colored.

5. More GCW stuff.

ok i have been playing this game for many months now and the sliding out of the chair was funny at first but is now just plain annoying, its the same with warping 50 to 100m from my swoop bike. this is a "good" game, but i still see it in the chance to be "great".

also while adding the "up/down" command in furniture/items placement (cant a rotate command also be added so you can cross swords on the wall under you "polished krayt skull" (think Nym's palace-the coolest looking place in this game)) and maybe an artisan craftable weapons rack to give the armory feel and display weapons!

I agree BH Driods must track Jedi

1. Allow Driods to actually work when sent off to find a Jedi.

2. Please fix the BH Driods speed. Currently Seeker driod take longer to find a Mark as you get Higher in the Investigation mission.

Jedi Robes
Long awaited are the Jedi robes! Gone will be the days of Jedi running about in armor. The Jedi robe will provide a hidden toughness value that will protect the Jedi, similar to armor, but providing more of a Jedi feel. -TH Jedi archive II

Man, I'm going to catch heck for this one, but....

Commando's are more powerful than BH's. Commando's are "behind-enemy-lines" combatants, skilled in wilderness survival and combat......

Reverse the current prereq's with the mod of BH's needing one-handed weapons as well as brawler. The stronger Commando will require tougher pre-req's to compensate for their power. Commandos will be able to actually survive behind enemy lines....imagine that....

Instead of having BH Pistol, BH Carbine and the BH LLC lines, change those lines to Ranged, Melee and Heavy lines and give them BH abilities commensurate with the lines.

This allows BH's 67 skill points to invest in a weapon specific profession and make them fearsome combatants and not so cookiee cutter....

Now...where is that flame-retardant suit......?

BH droid fixes

2> At least have probe droids tell us which planets the Jedi are on

3> Give us working names on Jedi missions (i.e. no false names or blank names)

4> Keep mission active even after Jedi loses TEF or logs off (in other words, we can hunt them down when they log back on with the same mission we took)

I think where player to player is concern, it should be hard for the bounty hunter to find the mark. They made playing a Jedi hard, it should be as hard to find them and kill them. Likewise, Jedi missions should be deleted from the BH's datapad after a few hours. Having 10 BH's take the same mission and kill the Jedi 3 times in a row, even if they showed up on the BH terminal once leaves the way open for major grief.

Here's a thought, BH's want to hunt other players, let them hunt each other as well.

Hi

Big issue for my player city that has seen several csr's try to assist but are unable and i cant get help anywhere else.

From the moment we placed our city on dantooine -123 -3333 on chimera we have had problems. There is a huge lag area all around our shuttle and through our pa hallwhich seems to a be causing severe problems with the city. To list but a few issues :- player lockups, vanishing vendors, vanishing inventory items, invisable players, shuttle stops working, shuttle travell fee resets, trainers vanish, mobs near the city always warp mid fight and house items are bugged.

Several csr's have been out but are never able to help us despite their best efforts. There seems to be a whole host of problems around us and these have been ongoing for weeks and weeks and are now testing the patience of a large section of our city community.

I am begging here for someone on the technical side to please contact me ingame so i can show them and tell them all the issues (preferably someone who can deal with server boundaries). I have sent numerous mails to folks begging for help but no joy

Help us TH! Your our only hope!

Thank you for opening this thread.

Issues:

  1. Fix vehicle deeds to show the hitpoints of the vehicle. This is an issue with serious vehicle distributers, and repeat vehicle customers. I believe it was meant to be included, but somehow got overlooked. As it is now, the average person in the game doesnt even realise the effort that goes into finding the best resources for the highest-hitpoint vehicles, they just want to see the lowest pricetag available. The leads customers into inadvertantly getting ripped off by artisans that levelled up SOLELY to make quick profits, and as such they sell thier 0% critical failures for the same price as other people sell thier 99% Experimented failures. In Landspeeders, the difference between 0% and 99% is about 1495 hitpoints.

  2. Please look into expanding the survey abilities for Master Artisans. With the rate of Jedi-Grinding going rampant in the game right now, the Full-Time Master Artisan has been diluted down to nothing. People level up Artisan, and drop it just as fast unless they are headed to one of the higher crafting trees. (in which case they still drop it to retain combat skills as long as possible)

I have created two threads regarding this in the Artisan forums, which have seen no response to anything in months.

Vehicle Hitpoints:

Expanded Survey Abilities:

Thank you for your time.

1. Would be nice with a HP range like that to know what you're buying. Though, anything with around 1.5k-2k is good. HP doesn't really matter since it costs the same to fix. Would like to have some reduced maintenance on them ya know?

2.Don't know if you or anyone noticed, but the max range on the survey tools is much higher (64m I think) than what you can set at survey IV. I hit a bug once that allowed me to survey at max range, it was pretty nice. Not sure how that happened, tried to reproduce to report it but couldn't.

How about one silly little thing that would really, really increase player involvement in the GCW? Add a "scoreboard" windoid that shows the current Rebel vs. Imperial score. That way whenever somebody completed a mission, completed a story mission, flipped control of a GCW dungeon, or whatever, they would be able to see right away that they made a difference for their faction!

Well, two things - fix the /gcw command first, because my suggestion assumes that the data from the /gcw command is available.

One thing would be is to have taking a base over actually MEAN something. Right now, I see people (me included) use the bases as a place to kill a few imps. My group doesn't take it over simply because we don't have the necessary professions involved. None of us care too much for bio-engineer.

Perhaps if the specific classes weren't needed, the bases would change hands more often. Probably not though, at least until there is a reason to take the base, other than to prevent your fellow faction members from camping holos there.

Dark Ages of Camelot eventually tied their PvP keeps to a dungeon. Whoever controlled the most keeps had access to the dungeon. Wouldn't work the same in SWG though since that dungeon had better loot and such than normal stuff, but it is something to keep in mind.
