I like it except for the fact that the wookiee looks like a hunch back.. hehe... but hey looks good (plus it looks like theres a gungan ear stuck on the armor there)

I really like this one. I also liked the previous one. I'm not sure if i like the helmet and horns though. They look too Mad Maxx for me, like a post-apocalyptic football helmet with horns, but other than that it's great.

Ok. I made comments on the first set of armor as I felt the armor didn't have the agressive style that is a Wookie Warrior. This is more like it!!!

Very natural looking with a nice blend of "I'm here to kick some ass" attitude!

Those horns are wild! I know some will look at this as just as bizarre as the first concept art, but call me crazy... I'm liking this new look!

I do realize that wookies cant wear any armor, and this probably sounds like a bad idea, but i think it'd be pretty cool to incorporate more class specific items, it would enhance the 'uniquness' for each class.

Sorry for the name, i live with a brother who happens to play this game too

I just checked out the Ronda Scott renderings of the first armor concept and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at the way it turned out. It looks a lot better than the concept art and I think those who originaly laughed at it will think differently now.

Great Work!

EVERYONE!!! Look closely. There are TWO horns. The other is pointed right at the viewer. It took me a second to see it right, but when I did, this concept appealed to me a bit more than the previous wookiee armor drawing. The Strawman or King of the Wicker People idea was rediculous and hideous.

This one appears to be made out of wood. Will the next one be made out of brick andoffer 90% protection from Huffing and Puffing?

One point that has been made already in this thread is that the wookiee species isn't retarded. They are quite technically proficient and would use metal to build armor. It might not be what they would use traditionally for huntijng on their home world, but a lot of wookiees have been scattered to wind throughout the galaxy due to slave trade. They've seen technology better than bone, wood and sinew. And, of course, wicker (hideous). They're not stupid. They probably grasp the concept that: wood=strong, steel=stronger. I'm sure they wouldn't let tradition prevent them from protecting themselves from blaster and other energy shots. This concept may have been very effect against lions and tigers and bears (oh, my) but any storm trooper would think this armor is laughable.

But it looks cooler than I thought the first time I saw. I do think a little work needs to be done around the eye cage. Looks like a cumbersome diving suit the navy first used before discovering rubber. Maybe this would be the best place to use a blend of high tech with theprimitive low-tech the DEVS like to associate with wookiees.

Maybe we should get Bow and Arrows for our ranged weapons too!

All I have to say is: I LOVE IT!!!!!

Maybe the material used by the wookiees is very protective, maybe the bones from Kashyyyk are very strong and rivals metal, these are alien worlds ppl, stop thinking in RL human earth terms. It's a sci-fi fantasy world, lets all use our imaginations here.

Sorry but Wookie armor is not a good idea. I have a hard time killing wookies that are buffed as it is. How is giving them armor a good idea?

Peace!

Imagine that, armor limiting vision and mobility, so ... realistic. I think the first set of armor looks excellent, sort of like a Samurai/German Knight. I agree that the 2nd Armor is hideous. The horn seems unnecessary at best; of course if it were hollowed out and counter weighted on the opposite side of the helmet, it shouldn't pose too much ofa strain on stout wookie necks. Personally, if they are going to put horns on the helmet, I'd like to see one on each side, or maybe a rhino style helmet. It won't actually bang into stuff in the game. Also, some of the Twilek Headgear is rather ridiculous as well, so the wookies won't bethe only ones. I'd like to see the wookiees get some more technologically advanced armors and clothing. I would think at the very least they could get wookie-sized padded armor. There's my $1/50.

Actually, while wearing armor is certainly more restrictive than not wearing armor, it can be designed to be both protective AND flexible. Medieval plate armor allowed the wearer to move relatively freely, thanks to smart engineering. I saw a History Channel special that actually had a guy do a cartwheel in plate armor. Pretty impressive, and it showed the relative freedom of the wearer.

All I'm saying is take into account design and functionality and how a wookiee would design their armor. Consider the targets you're going up against as a wookiee on their home planet, consider the needs of the wearer and the wearer's personal characteristics, and consider aesthetics as well. So far, all I've seen is ugly armor that doesn't look like it'd get the job done. Not that it really matters to me, since I'm not a wookiee, but still.

You're a master rifleman and CM and you can't kill an unarmored person with a buff? I think you need to invest in better gear.

The helmet is so frickin' cool. Can't wait to see it all in color!
