Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 3-22-04)
So I know this not for publish 7 feedback yet, and Im not a TK or smuggler, but what's with this delay attack nerf? And yes, it is a nerf. I know the difference between a nerf and a change, and I constantly tell others the difference when they use nerf inappropriately. But this is a Nerf.
You basically made all the delay attacks pointless and to the point of not really using, unless you wish to run likeworrt. Why you ask? Because it's great to stick a delay on something so they can't fight back, but not if you can't attack them back. If I delay them but it gets broken if I attack, then the only real use for the delay is turn tail and hit burst run.
I hear it's a cone effect now, but that's pointless with melee. If you think about it, up close, a cone of say 60 degrees or less, is not much if anything at all. Up close all you will getis the target directly in front you. Ifyou want to have the effect of a true AOE for melee players (and since its now supposed to be crowd control) let it be a full cirlce around them say 10-15m out. Because warcry also has a delay for usage on it, so if I can ony hit, maaaaybe 2 targets with it, its not at all a crowd control effect, and again, is still totally useless.
Why did warcry need to be changed? Why did any of the delay attacks need to be changed? I do not see what the problem was with them? If you are going to change things, especially ones that are very usefull to a profession, don't change it out of complete usfulness.

1.) Inventory sort order needs to be retained after a load occurs.
2.) Backpack sort order needs to be retained after they are closed and reopened.
3.) Graphic options need to save. Specifically "Show Detail World Objects" and "Fade Objects"
4.) Terrain detail and distance settings should not reset to low levels after many times loging in.
5.) The column width for bazaars and vendors should be retained after logging out and in again.
6.) The Diagnose window should be large enough to display all of a player's wounds by default.
7.) An option to CycleOutward nearest non-enemy target would be nice.
Please consider some or all of these and keep up the good work.
Some additional interface issues to consider.
8.) Sort macros alphabetically.
9.) Sort guild members name alphabetically in the guild management terminal.
10.) Grouping(shift, control) purchasing for offers to vendors.
11.) Grouping for sales through vendors.

BH were tuff, but all the babies cryed NERF NERF. So they were nerfed.
A padawn jedi on my server is bosting over 200 BH kills.. A PADAWN!!!
With over 200 skill points to become master BH they need to be much much much more deadly end of story!
Oh but now Jedi are getting revamped after this next publish, isn't that nice.
Not Bounty Hunters or Smugglers or the countless other professions that have needed it since game launch.
We still CAN NOT craft the Droid Tool Belt
This is a NEW loot item from Pub 6 from the Emp's Retreat I believe.
It calls for Droid Tool Kit as one of the ingrediants.
There ARE NO Droid Tool Kits. apparently there was for like 3 weeks at the start of the game but then they where REMOVED.
Why are you giving us a NEW item to craft which calls for an item that does not exist??????????????????????
The new kits you have given the DE's to craft DO NOT work in the schematic.

? Bug: Probably reported, but I continue to rubberband/warp every time I exit my speeder or swoop. WHAM suddenly I'm 60 yards away from where I stopped and dismounted my vehicle.
Someone discovered what causes this most interesting bug and you can control if it happens to you or not.
Simply put, if you are still moving when you mount your vehicle/mount you WILL warp ahead when you hop off of it. I have tested this myself and have successfully been able to get off my vehicle without jumping ahead by standing still when I get on it.
So far, from reports on the CH board, it appears that the mount autofollow problem introduced in publish 6 has not been fixed.
Why?
Why has this bug, reported incessantly here, been deliberatly ignored?
What does it take to get the developers to fix the things they broke in the last publish?

This is what frustrates the long time players (and the ones who have quit) not lack of Content really. I have been playing since launch and I still have not done everything possible in the game.
The people who complain about lack of content are the short timers. They are just playing to acheive posessions and Credits, not to actually play and enjoy the game.
Is new content nice? Yes. But lets fix all the current bugs that have been arround since launch.
Jedi is a minor % of the population and they are getting re-vamped already? before Smuggler, before Commando, before Squad Leader, and countless other professions that have been in the game since its launch? That is just a slap in the face for all of us who have played this game since launch or for any length of time. Jedi should be the last profession on the list to get revamps or fixes in my opinion not the first (as it seems it is).
I would actually like to hear why the Devs feel that Jedi warrants such attention. Why do you feel it is so important to fix that profession and not the countless others that are broken that have been that way for alot longer? Along with being more important to fix then the countless bugs that have been in the game since launch? Please Explain this to me because I do not understand.
Thanks
