I think this must be a bug as I myself am still waiting for the Sith but a few people i know have already been visited and have been guven access to the village. The good planets appear to me to be Dantooine ot Tatooine - maybe try these...

Also, I am wondering if ither people are seeing these sith and attacking them before you do. I myself saw a couple before the person who was supposed to attack them, turned up. I was able to target them an attack should I have desired to do so. Maybe he devs should make them a little more exclusive....

I know the reasons for the high xp requirements are to limit the number of jedi. My question is, do the requirements just get larger? 22 million fs xp just for initiate. Does it go to 30 mil for padawan or 50 mil even? Iam able to game a bit, but not a great deal. This seems too far out of reach for me, especially with the 30>1 conversion rating.What can be done about this?

I'm serious.

First off, I'd like to apologize to everyone who this patch negatively affected. However, every bit of this patch has been great for me.

1.) On Monday I was faint sense of the force; after doing two warren badges and then nym's quests, I got the full glow.
2.) Tuesday the old man visited me (only a day after the glow).
3.) Wednesday the sith attack, then I go to the waypoint (all of this was without ANY bugs for me).
4.) By the end of the day I'm at the village; I get 2 free branches of FS even though I've done 10 total professions SINCE LAUNCH
5.) I've done both sets of patrol missions since then and received the Aurilian Banner (although it was such a pain). Since I have no home to put it in, I had to sell it, albeit for a pretty penny.

So, devs, I just wanted to state that I actually LOVE publish 10, but I'm sorry to everyone who has been negatively impacted by it.

Did not recieve my quest item for completing Captain Saguilo's patrol a second time. The text says an item was placed in my inventory but there is nothing there. I am not the only person with this issue. Most people had full inventories from all the ore the sith drop.

Is there a way those that didn't recieve quest items like they should can claim them? Perhaps change the programing so the npc tells you your inventory is full and to make room? Credit those that should have recieved items?

Can someone please clear this up for me. Please tell me wether each phase is 1 week or 3 weeks becuase I have heard both of them being spread. I really do hope its not 3 weeks becuase SOE is looking deep into a big hole of players trying to get out of a scam. I can understand the population control but if it is 3 weeks thats 15 weeks just to become an initiate from scratch and thats more then enough time for population control. If this is true this publish 10 is just a scam to pull the extra $45 from the players who have already paid them $45 for this wait anyway. Even if the wait is 6 weeks I sure hope they reconsider this topic becuase I know alot of players who want to leave becuase of this consideration.

Unlocked on #31 (creature handler) on august 27th


I can create a new character


was glowing when patch 10 went live


got the old man, killed the sith and do not get the option from paemos to unlock any free branchs


In game CSR said that there was nothing he could do and to check the fourms/patchnotes for updates. So far i havn't heard anything on the issue.

Ok, I got it all together now.


I am a post-9 unlocker with 29 profs.


I got my old man visit on the third day after Pub10( I was starting to sweat there for a while)


I got my Sith visit the next day.


I got my second Old Man visit the day after that.


The only problem I encountered was on the Pannaqa mission, where I got a bogus waypoint. Aftre meditating at a shrine and restarting the mission, it worked fine.


I have gone all the way thru the padawan trials successfully and opened my second slot. Though I would have preferred my second slot to be my Jedi, I am quite happy now that I have a fully developed character to work with. As a TKM, I am not an easy kill for the eager-beaver BH's, hehe.


The only editorial note I have is that there is scant help in the game for those converting their holo-credit into unlocked trees. There were a lot of negative waves floating around the village on my first visit. Other than that, a very enjoyable weekend so far.

This is NOT quest driven. Players are not questing for an understanding of the force. This is a simple gating mechanism created by someone who had no idea how to create a quest. I understand the need to limit the numbers and progression of players to jedi. I understand you want it to mean something, but this is a game and it's meant to be fun. Grinding XP to convert it to progress through the FS skills is not fun to anyone. Powrgamers do it because they are so focused on "finishing" (whatever that is) that they put aside their disdain for grinding and grind anyway.


The FS quests should:


1) Provide Force Sensitive XP.


2) Provide something for the player to do other than (kill x things or patrol x times)


3) Provide meaningful progress through the skills and show further understanding of the force.


4) Be timed so that within the context of the quest, a player cannot simply grind through it. (Example: A player is given a quest to follow and report on the activities of a specific NPC. The NPC's location is given to the player and the player travels to that location, finds the NPC and follows them around. After following them around for a period of time (10 mins real time), the player reports back to the village to report that day's observations. Each day's observations reveal something about the Force to the player and at the end of 7 days (arbitrary number) the player has learned that aspect of the Force and gains Force Sensitive XP for the quest. How much XP to be given depends on how far the player had to travel and how dangerous an area it was to observe the NPC in.)


5) Be varied so that crafters and fighters of all types can take part. Right now fighters have an extreme advantage. A combat elite (TKM) can get 600 to 900K weapon XP in 3-4 hours. Crafters have XP caps that are much lower and much harder to obtain plus they incur materials costs to craft the items. Add different kinds of quests and eliminate the XP conversion process altogether.



Please eliminate this GRIND. It's just another GRIND. Someone on one of the other threads figured it out too. The total amount of normal XP it takes to complete 6 lines of FS skills is the equivalent of grinding 32 professions. How long did you think it would take the players to figure that out? You have replaced GRIND with GRIND, not GRIND with questing.


The quests are not quests. They are gating. Gate the players in smart, creative ways. Use time elements in the quests themselves. Don't heap massive amounts of XP on to the top of the process and say, "Look, there are quests. Now get to GRINDING!"


Change out the XP grinding and conversion process with one in which players actually quest and use their skills in their current profession to complete the quests. Do NOT continue this charade. It's not a questing system. It IS a GRIND.


Grinding is what nearly killed this game. You have just take the grind and wrapped it in bacon and put chili on it. Sorry, but it tastes just like GRIND to me.

During Sivarra's Quest if you talk with a droid and take the mission on heal an NPC and then talk to Sivarra and she says you fail you will not be able to redo the mission or any other mission, because people will say that you look busy.


Please fix this, but adding some sort of reset

Here are a couple of suggestions:


1. The village is still way to crowded. I'm a Doc and all docs have figured out to buff in the village because that is were Paemos is to convert the Med xp to FS Sense XP. Well about 5 docs running around buffing for free is maddenging, then you have all the other ones grinding combat xp to get FS xp. So problem, where do we put all these people grinding ungodly amounts of xp?
Suggestion: place people like Paemos (normal xp to FS xp exchangers) hidden all through out the galaxy like in Rori or Talus. What this does is reduce the amount of people in the villages because they don't need to be there to grind away before their caps are reached. And you have spread people away from the vilalge, which is way to chaotic right now.


2. Please warn people before they take the quests that they are going to unlock a certain FS branch. Almost everyone goes, "oops i didn't want that! Oh well!" Have them talk the NPC and describe the quest and what branch they are going to unlock. Then ask them if this is what they really want.


3. Clarification needs to be made. Can we drop a quest after we have taken it? Or can we drop a branch that we unlocked, so we can try to do another one? This is in answer to my #2 concern above.


4. I know that it might be to late for this now, but I want 2 things for pre-publish 10 methode of grinding. I want to know what the professions were that I had left and what I needed to finish pre-publish 10. And I want a command to tell me how many professions I really did unlock. I can guess after talking to Paemos that I actually had completed 7 of the required professions because I heard the professions were upped to 8, and I was allowed to unlock 5 slots, which means that I only had 1 more profession left.

5. Is there a /find feature in the village, that would be great. I have heard way to many times, where is such and such person.


6. I liked the medical trials. It was neat. I liked the experimentation twist.

WTH is going on?


i went to start quest to get persuasion and luck the only trees i really wanted to find out i need to be a master medic?!?!


i thought this system done awaywith the holo grind!?!?


ok np i get a free unlock i use it for persuasion use my built up xp to train in first block of luck and i CANT I STILL NEED TO BE MASTER MEDIC **edit**?!?!


did i waste my free unlock cause there is now way in hell i am going to grind medic?!?!?


also i read persuasion gave 50% faction reduction well it dont is this a bug or did lack of documentaion like always SCREW ME ?!?!
