Thread: The Path of the Jedi: Reckoning of Effort
Man I thought my new job was hard but I'd never want yours. Okay I had a few questions as to where my character falls funny how we are all concerned bout me me me. After reading through lots of pages and your additional post I think all but one are answered. Here are my questions and the answers I think I found plus the one with now answer.
Q) I did 4 holos plus some other proffs, when I logged in this morning and tried out /checkforce it said a faint connection. Should I expected a free visit at some point in time since I did my holos?
A) Yes I'll fall into Automatic or into one of the groups.
Q) I did 4 holos plus some other proffs. Do the 4 holos I did before going silent mean I have 1 proff remaining or that I could have 1->4 remanning? Also this would mean that a person that did one or two holos and no other proff would get no credit? 8 - 1 = 7 8 - 2 = 6 6 and 7 were not on your list of credit?
Q) I don't expect an answer on this but I'm a curious if you know and can say. Did the hidden proff limit get raised or everyone as you rasied it or just for new accounts when it was incrementally raised not that i really matters but knowing would give me a better idea of what group I might be in.
These are my only questions. I like the new system idea and I may go for glowy for fun.

Zabrekk:There is an obvious reason why there has to be some sort of valve system.
We all know how much cities lag when there are a 100 ppl around.. Can you imagine how the village was when like 30-40% of the galaxiespopulation decended on the village all at once?? I can see it now a big flammin' C&B!

TH and Devs.
3. People who did squat for a year, then 2 days ago went and got badges. I have no patiences for this type. YOu knew a year ago to grind professions yet you didn't do it. You waited for a quest based system, you got it and you still complain cause you have to take more time to get what you want. This makes zero sense. If you knew to get a jedi you needed to grind you should have started the grinding. Why did you wait? Cause you thought it would be handed to you on a platter?
IT nothing in my eyes.
You have been playing you profession to the fullest. Good why be a Jedi then. If you wanted a Jedi you gave up the right to play your profession to the fullest.
This is nothing but whining.
IT's like someone tells you if you want to be buff you need to go to the gym everyday to be buff. As a response you tell them no Ill wait for steriods to be legalized.
Then as you siit and do nothing that would actually get you to your GOAL, others go to the gym and work out, and guess what? Their buff!!!!
So finally the day comes and they legalize Steriods, but guess what you still have to work out some to get benifits and it still takes time. So you complain so more.
Sorry, but it is disgusting to hear people whime cause they don't get what they want right now. The arguement I paid 15 bucks a month to play this game I should ahve a Jedi for doing nothing it is pointless.
You knew that getting a Jedi would be hard and time consuming last year. before the game came out, and now you complain?
I don't get it. You should have holo grinded, you were dumb to stop, why play your profession to its "fullest" when your just going to drop it for a Jedi anyway?
The point: You can't have your cake and eat it too!
The hologrind was assinine. This is a RPG not a grind-as-many-professions-as-you-can game. It was a stupid stupid way to do anything. I actually play the game. That is not "doing squat". I am willing to bet that I have been more places and seen and done more things in this game than you have ever thought about. I found pois before they were on the data pads. I did the rebel theme park when the best thing you got was Ackbar's stupid flight suit. Dont even think that because you did however many profs in a timeframe that you are some kind of power player or 133t player. You are not.
LOL. Your still whining.
I knew exactly what to do to get a Jedi, and I didn't do it but I deserve credit. Come on! The hologrind is IMO the dumbest thing since the hanging chad!!! I did it anyway. Trust me you haven't see ore of the game than me. I all but a couple of badges. I was in every story arc. I did the Imperial theme park when you got a freakin slave collar! I didn't grind until after I had as a commando and a bounty hunter( this is my chosen profession) when out and looked for stranded rebel pilots on dantoonie(not the yavin ones!) to get 4 holocrons. The I didn't open one until march 2004.
I am not a power player never wanted to be one. Everything I own is stock. No special armor, no krayt weapons, nothing but normal player amde goods. Im not l33t and probably neve will be.
What I do have is the drive to get what I want! When I head they where going to revamp the system I knew to get up off my butt and start grinding and I did. I did 27 profession in 3 months. I had 5 to go when I unlocked, and still had 2 weeks left!!!
SO wwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, You sat there and did your FOTM template and got your Fat loot, big deal I Freak grinded and got my Jedi.
You knew what you had to do, but you didn't do it don't blame the devs. This system is great, if I was new to the game and had ALREADY HAD A FREAKIN YEAR to get a jedi I would be very happy with it.

Whats amusing is that alot of angry peeps in thisthread who are mad at not being able to immediately get Jedi with this new systemare the same people that always want Jedi nerfed in other threads. Some are evenones whoclaimed all Jedi justAFK macroed and that they themselves never wanted to be a Jedi.
I wouldn't say that man. I myself have wanted jedi since release, but I've never been heavy into grinding so I always did quests in hopes that later on the system would change to be more quest oriented...
regardless this is not what I had in mind.
The new system alone is depressing, and now more than 60% of the community can't even participate in it.
They could have atleast made the village instanced so this wouldn't have been an issue. ![]()

It is amazing that the same question is asked more than 125 times on this thread alone, and has yet to be answered clearly or directly.
"I got the message that I am 'glowing' today. What group am I in?"
TH, as a former and current player I am sure you can appreciate the utter anticipation and then the utter frustration with today's events. Do the right thing and give the community the feedback they deserve. As Community Relationship Manager, you have your finger on the pulse of the community....can you feel it pounding?
